They are light and crisp and not overly-battered or heavy. Then there is desert. The grape cobbler (first time I ever heard of grape cobbler) is amazing. The fragrance is mouthwatering-like driving by an orchard when they are at their peak. An unexpected and hard to describe experience texture - a bit like grape jelly but not exactly. And combined with the delightful cobbler crust it is perfect. Vanilla ice cream is the perfect addition to balance intensity of the grapes. It is worth a trip just to try this. And we did! read more

My family and I went in to get the Valentine's Day special. We had no issues being seated , but issues with service and quality of food. Our server, whose name I didn't catch, just walked up to our table and stared at us for about 15 seconds before asking for our drinks. We ordered mozzarella sticks, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken fettuccine, and chicken nuggets for my son. The mozzarella sticks came out barely warm, with no cheese melted. The spaghetti and meatballs tasted atrocious. Watered down meat sauce maybe? My Alfredo had virtually no flavor and grease pooled the top. We asked for the manager to take off the pastas and we'd pay for the mozzarella and chicken nuggets and leave. My son took one bite of his chicken nugget and refused to eat the rest. When the manager came back we asked her to take the chicken back and take that off our ticket as well. She responded to us and said "well you guys can just leave then" and ripped our ticket off the table. My boyfriend felt this had more to do with his and my son's race than anything. I called around 4 pm to speak to the owner. She immediately knew who I was(as I left a review on google before we even pulled out of the parking lot), and told me she replied to my review and refused to address the issue further. I told her that spoke a lot about her business. In her response, she claimed we "didn't even take a single bite" and "...you guys just didn't want to pay for your meal" I would love to know what made her assume that was the case. We definitely wouldn't have minded paying the 50ish dollars for the whole meal. We also, definitely did go pay 50 dollars down the street for some yummy Mexican food that was not disappointing. read more

You absolutely have to Try this little spot right on highway 412. Always a great experience. They have daily specials but I can't go there without getting the small chicken and spaghetti meal. Beautifully fried chicken breast and a portion of their fresh made spaghetti made by their own pasta house in the back building. It's so good. The spaghetti comes with a generous portion of their homemade meat sauce. The house salads are so fresh and comes w their homemade Italian dressing. The homemade rolls are always fresh and yummy. Everything here is "Homemade" and you can actually purchase Mama Z'a dry pasta and Italian dressing from a small display case at the register. You won't be disappointed. I'm so jealous; my cousin gets to eat here all the time and he always texts me pictures of the food!!!! This casual, family-run, Italian diner is a must-stop for me every time I visit Northwest Arkansas. Be forewarned however, this isn't anything like the "Italian" food you are probably accustomed to. However, it IS tasty food, home-made by an Italian family who has lived for generations in this small, Italian community and has adapted their cooking to reflect the tastes and availability of their environment. Fried chicken and spaghetti is one of the popular dinner choices and your Italian meal is served with big dinner rolls, honey and homemade jelly. (Not exactly what you find at Johnny Carinos). Chicken plays a pretty prominent role in their menu as poultry farming is quite a big business in this area. (Ever heard of Tyson?). They serve quite a few different menu items and have daily specials, but I always go for the pasta. My favorite thing on the menu is their spaghetti. The noodles are homemade and the the sauce is really good. The fried chicken is cooked perfectly but could use a bit more flavor (curse you KFC, you've spoiled us all). I like their ravioli (which is stuffed with chicken) and my BF thought their meatballs were the bomb. My cousin LOVES their lasagna, but to me it always seems a bit watery. Their homemade desserts are good too. Last time I had the blackberry cobbler with ice cream. Yum. The Italian meals come in two sizes - regular and half portion (I wish more places offered that option). The half portion is plenty, but if you're really hungry or want to ensure you'll have some leftovers then order the full. The Italian meals are also served with a dinner salad and garlic toast. At any other location I'd be appalled to be served a salad of iceberg lettuce, but their garlicky, vinegar/oil dressing is quite good (even better with an extra dash of vinegar). It would be nice if they offered a different type of lettuce and maybe a tomato or red onion slice and real butter with their dinner rolls (the margarine thing just doesn't do it for me). Enjoy the local cuisine, tip well (the waitstaff is delightful and so hard-working), pick up a jar of sauce and a bag of pasta on your way out and stop by the Tontitown Historical museum to learn more about this fascinating little community in the corner of Arkansas. read more

This needed to be updated! The food I ordered today was just ok. The chicken that there soppose to be famous for has no seasoning it was bland. Plum nasty!! So I called the order in the lady who took my order you could tell she hated the world. What ticks me off is I got charged for a large fettuccine and looked more like the 1/2 order. This place use to be so good I have no ideal what has happened. I no we are soppose to sopport the local business. But when your served crap for food I could care less this place ever opens there door again. Maybe it was a bad night but why am I being punished for your lack of flavor.
