Hot ham and cheese, add jalapeños

This place is the bomb. Watch the food get cooked in front of you by women in a home-style environment. Doesn't feel like a restaurant, feels like being a kid at a friend's mother's house.

Good old fashion burger joint. Everything I've had there has been good. Beats the heck out of most drive through joints.

Cute old school diner. I know people who come from Fayetteville for their burgers. Town staple.

Love this place, they have some of the best burgers you can find. They also help a lot of local charities and families in need in our area

Fries that taste raw. Burgers that are not cooked correctly. This food is just not good. Go to American drive in instead.

My favorite place in town to get a salad! Not fancy, but great salad and great ranch dressing.

Would not recommend going to burger land. The food is not very good. You can get a better hamburger at the American drive in.

Hugo's, much like Herman's Rib House is a Fayetteville tradition. Since the late 70's Hugo's has…read morebeen serving an eclectic American classic menu ( with some European influences). A well established hangout for Hog Fans especially on game day and you may even run into some Razorbacks legends while you are there. Pros: Consistent, quality food at a reasonable price. Great menu selection from crepes to steaks and everything in between. Cons: Hugo's is a basement restaurant location. This means seating is limited and the wait can be long. The stairs leading down to the restaurant can be hard to navigate if you are physically impaired, and depending on the day or time of the it can get quite noisy. If stairs, togetherness and nosiy spaces are not your thing, then this isn't the establishment for you. Overall, you can't go wrong with the food or hospitality, and if you're a Razorback fan, student, or alumni of the University of Arkansas dining here is a right of passage. Highly recommended Hugo's... come be a part of a Fayetteville tradition!

The place is always busy so prepare for a 30-40 minute wait as we went on a Monday during the summer break and they were still busy around 7pm. The place has been around since 1917??? so everyone wants to try an ole' original while in town. It is in the basement so low ceilings and it is fairly noisy but the place is worth it as it is all part of the nostalgia. Their desserts are worth saving room for. The apple pie and mint ice cream are my favs!!

This small building is about 130 years old, and the there's a modernized 1890's vibe here, playing 1970's music overhead. I'm not sure what I liked better: my bacon cheeseburger or my slice of chocolate pie. The burger was two (seemingly) mini meatloaves, perfectly seasoned, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. The cheese was bubbly. I found the bun somewhat weak for the job it was trying to hold together. Collapsed into itself at one point. The bacon was fine (isn't it always!), but just not my favorite. The home-made fries were potatoey perfection. My grandmother passed around 1982. If she were still here, I'd be forced to tell her someone makes a better chocolate pie than her. At least I avoided the cussing and getting walloped by a broom. The crust was buttery and of perfect firmness. The chocolate cream was covered in heavenly whipped cream, I assume homemade. Will absolutely be coming back in the Fall, for the leaf show. And a burger. And that pie. Great staff also. Very welcoming, including the owner.
