I like the fajita platters and the three pepper burritos. I'm a regular and I find the staff treats me well. Often they bring my food to my table for me so I don't have to get up and get it. We started out with some chips and salsa, always a hit. Salsa has a smoky taste to it and the chips are house made. For tacos I opted for some beef, carnitas and chicken. Tacos and meat have incredible flavor and you can tell they pay attention to detail. They are a little juicy and wet so I always eat them over a separate dish. They also have a house made habanero salsa which packs just the right amount of heat, love bathing my tacos in them. My wife loves the crunchy taco, says it reminds her of Taco Bell in all the best ways. Service was very good, our server got us whatever we needed. We tend to love their happy hour, they have some of the best happy hour margaritas around!

Hey Taco is a family-run takeout spot in Westport, CT, located in the former Border Grill space,…read moreknown for serving authentic, freshly prepared Mexican dishes and specializing in birria tacos. The restaurant offers a variety of options, including classic tacos, burritos, and other traditional Mexican staples, with an emphasis on preserving traditional flavors and providing healthier choices, such as seed-oil-free options. Primarily designed for takeout, it has limited seating for dine-in, but there is outside seating for customers. I'm searching for great tacos, and I discovered this place on Instagram, which prompted me to visit. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by the staff, and my order was taken. I chose a Steak Taco, an Al Pastor Taco, and a Carnita Taco. My order was ready in approximately fifteen minutes. The tacos were generously filled with meat and toppings, offering good value. The Steak Taco was flavorful but slightly overcooked; it still tasted good. The Al Pastor was rich in flavor and well-seasoned, though I would have loved more pineapple chunks to enhance its sweet and tangy profile. The Carnita taco was decent but needed more seasoning to boost its flavor, and the red onions atop could have been better with a pickling process, which would add acidity, sweetness, and tanginess. Although the onions appeared lightly pickled, they may have benefited from a longer marination. Customer service was friendly and attentive, making the overall experience enjoyable. I look forward to returning to try additional dishes from their menu.
