The lady and her husband or partner were sweet and attentive. My guy and I ordered an order of the bulgogi, kimchi fried rice and squid (super spicy). The food tasted as good as it looked. Hands down my favorite dish is the kimchi fried rice. It was really spicy and actually tasted of kimchi. The portions are nice to match the prices. Highly recommend.

Its located near the corner of the street but easily missed. The service was excellent. Greeted upon arrival, waiter gave us the menu. Some of the menu items are unique and I haven't seen in other restaurants before. We started with seafood pancakes my all time favorite korean appetizers. For the entrees we had pork cutlet with gravy and rice, steam chicken gizzards, pork belly nappa cabbage wrap and kimchi fried rice. Every single dish came out quick, hot and fresh. Everything we ordered is very savory and delicous. I would say the best korean food in Chicago. It was my first time eating steam chicken gizzards and oh my oh it was seasoned well;soo delicous and one of a kind. I was a little hesitant when my boyfriend wanted me to tatse it. Best decision ever to go out of my tastings bubble. We came on the weekend,we expected groups of people but it was actually quiet for a bar restaurant. We enjoyed our visit here. The food was too yummy we forgot to take photos untill the end. We will definitely come back next time we are around ;)

We were seated right away. Our waitress came right over and took our order. She was very polite and patient with all my questions. I don't have Korean cuisine often. We shared the Duk Mandu Gook (Soup made with rice cakes). It was a very generous portion. More than enough to share by two. We also ordered the Beef Fried Rice. We were struggling to finish both dishes because of the portions but couldn't leave it because it was delicious. I really enjoyed the dishes we ordered and hope to be back the next time I am in the area.

The sundubus were amazing and the tofu was so fluffy and the perfect texture. It also had the perfect spice level and tasted extremely well with the rice. The udon is not that good, I would suggest ordering this when you come here. And the bulgogi was so good-sometimes it can be really oily though. The service was amazing. I believe it is a family owned business as well. Everyone was friendly and nice. They checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was good. Inside the restaurant it was pretty nice. There were both booths and tables. Additionally they had coat rack holders outside every booth which was so convenient. Overall, this restaurant was so good. I highly recommend coming here, especially on a cold snowy day!

I got it less spicy as their spice levels can really kick your ass. Its a super light and hearty soup, so i personally added additional seasoning to fit my taste It was quiet when we went on a weekday evening so our server was easily attentive and super sweet - really contributing to the family ambiance of the restaurant. The restaurant is cozy and clean. We got seated pretty quickly and were given menus. Our server was great and explained all the dishes on it as well. I got the Dakdori Tang and everyone else got the Gamja Tang. I was definitely a fan of the Dakdori Tang which had a slightly sweeter broth than the Gamja Tang. It was perfect for the cold weather. The side dishes were good and they were great about refilling them for us as well. I also got a small order of the soondae which I definitely enjoyed! The service was very attentive, the food waa good and I would definitely want to go back to try more dishes.
