To say the least this is always going to be an all time go to restauran. I stumbled across this…read morerestaurant one evening and instantly fell in love. One bite of this food changed my life the Asian food from this sweet lady was the best bite I've ever had. I promise this place will not dissappoint and my server was a curly haired boy server and he was so handsome and very sweet just like his mother who owns the restaurant this is the best food around I highly recommend coming here.

Coming from a military (and Law Enforcement) family, and born and raised in San Diego California…read more(unfortunately, but I moved from that state years ago!), I'm no foreigner to Philipino food. Strolled in around 7:00 p.m. I was the only person here except for another gentlemen who actually just walked through the door. Neat little place. Pretty clean from what I can see and kind of off decorum, but in a good way! I walked in and was immediately greeted with my server. Super nice, super sweet and super polite southern gal, like they usually are which is why I stay in the south. That Southern hospitality, ya dig? Anyways she had me pick my table, and then immediately brought me a menu and took my drink order. I gazed over the menu, and by the time she brought my beverage I was ready to order. I WAS going to go for the chicken adobo, but I didn't want rice because it will keep me up tonight because I don't eat a lot of complex carbohydrates. I hope the pancit noodles won't either. I ordered the all meat Pancit. $22. Came with a little bit of beef, chicken, and shrimp. Good size shrimp too! Came out PIPING hot, and flavorful. I made eye contact which whom I'm pretty sure is owner of this place. I smiled, and she said sternly, "Oh hi!" Hahaha! Kind of reminded me of a nice 'soup Nazi' from Seinfeld. I know Sriracha is Vietnamese, but I asked for soy sauce and sriracha, but they don't have any sort of oriental hot sauce and I wasn't about to put red dot on it. So soy sauce it was. I kind of threw my server for a loop, when I asked for chopsticks hahaha!!! It wasn't a super huge portion, but it was perfect for me. I could see how nitpickers would complain, but, no complaints here! Thank you for a great meal, and the next time I park here, I'll definitely be coming back in! ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. You gotta go. It's New Orleans!!!…read more Cafe du Monde is one of those places where you just have to embrace the chaos, get powdered sugar all over your body and have some fun with it. The beignets + cafe au lait are exactly what you want, and it's such a perfect spot to sit, relax, people watch and take in all the New Orleans craziness around you. My favorite time to go is either really late at night or ridiculously early in the morning. Both just hit different. Also... CASH ONLY!!! If you sit at a table the servers come to you quick! Powdered sugar covered clothes are basically a souvenir. 10/10 New Orleans experience.

I'd literally been told I had to go here so many times that by the time I landed in New Orleans, I pretty much made a beeline straight for this legendary cafe. This cafe is located right outside Jackson Square right off the waterfront. They are open late, as they close at either 11p or 12am every day. When we went in the middle of the afternoon, the place was very busy as it was hard to find a table in their outside patio, so we settled for a table in the indoor section(A/C SCORE!!). The ground was littered with powdered sugar as customers like myself don't always understand how to eat these beignets without making a big mess. The beignets themselves were pretty inexpensive as they cost only $4.53 for a 3-pack. I also got a large frozen coffee for $7.70. The beignets were delivered to our table very fast and very warm. The movie "Chef" says you only get your first bite of your first beignet from Cafe Du Monde once in your life and to cherish the moment and I do truly understand what they meant with that quote. These beignets were so great and that first bite with the powdered sugar explosion was so amazing-I really enjoyed the recklessness of having a beignet at Cafe Du Monde. Overall, I feel that anyone who visits New Orleans has to find their way to this legendary cafe and enjoy this dish that has been served since 1862. A really great bite!.
