I like this place. It's usually packed in the mornings and the workers are friendly. Sometimes the pancakes taste a little odd and donuts are almost always cold. I love hot glazed donuts so i don't appreciate that. It also makes me question how long they've been sitting. I personally always got the professor breakfast and it's pretty good. it's a pretty cool local establishment. read more

We ordered dine in breakfast. The food was okay. The cappuccino was entirely too sweet (thick with syrup texture). I had to create my own breakfast bowl since I don't eat beef or pork (no turkey bacon/sausage). The waitress was not friendly. She did her job; took order, brought food, and bill. She rolled her eyes at me when I asked a question. The person in the donut room was very nice, friendly , and she smiled. We got an apple fritter, she heated it, but it was not even warm after heating it. There was nothing great about the apple fritter. I ordered the special (hamburger combo) to drop off for my daughter at SELU. I was not asked about ketchup for fries and no ketchup was included, no salt on fries. She said the fountain root beer did not taste like root beer. She only ate the burger and drank the cup of water. I was not impressed by the food or the service, will not return. read more

We stopped by this place on our way to Biloxi. I stopped here solely on the yelp reviews and I'm glad I did. The people were exceptional. The man running the floor, that I'm assuming was the owner, seemed to really care for this establishment. It really had the feel of home. We got a to-go breakfast on our way home from New Orleans and weren't disappointed. They serve up a mean sausage biscuit. The coffee isn't that great but it's Community Coffee, so it's not University Donuts' fault... that stuff is just nasty. Skip McDonald's breakfast and head here instead. read more

Have lived in Hammond about 6 months and have passed by this place several times. Finally had the opportunity to check it out. Very glad I did. Lunch options so often fall into only two categories: "Nasty Fast Food" or "Way Too Expensive". Finding this little local cafe with REAL FOOD prepared with care is a godsend. Cool interior and great breakfast. Stopped in with my kids for breakfast. My kids loved the donut room and started with glazed donuts and an apple fritter for me. All were fresh and delicious. Moved on to bacon and eggs for the kids and I got the Frat House hash-browns adding a fried egg on top. AWESOME and highly recommend. Great place to sit and catch up with old friends. Used to love this place but lately things have seemed to be going down hill. It used to be a great alternative to the fast food chains for a quick breakfast. Unfortunately the last few weeks I've been told that breakfast in the drive thru would take "at least 5-10 minutes" and on more than one occasion they've been out of biscuits. It'll be a while before I go back here again. Hopefully they can fix whatever the problem is. read more
