After years of loyal patronage, it's disappointing and insulting to see this added charge. When you're already tipping over 20% and purchasing expensive bottles of wine, adding another 3% just to pay by credit card feels excessive. I really wish this practice would be made illegal. Restaurants are already charging customers for their food and drinks, and we're contributing to their operating costs through our purchases and tips. At this rate, between the meal prices, generous tips, and added fees, we must be silent partners in half the restaurants around here! Please stop charging this fee for the love of God. I was expecting a decent amount of food, but this was SO much food for a tasting menu. We couldn't even finish everything. The tasting menu came with 6 different dishes, so it was a really fun way to try a bunch of things. First were the boquerones in olive oil with bread. The anchovies were fresh tasting and pleasantly briny without being overwhelmingly fishy. And they give you SO much olive oil. They also brought us more bread, which was honestly perfect because I was absolutely going to use that bread to soak up every last drop of the olive oil. Then came the garlic and tomato topped baguette. Simple but really good. The garlic and tomato gave the bread a ton of flavor without being too heavy. The fried potatoes were another favorite.
