Visually it had all the semblance of an authentic Bahn Mi, the fresh slightly toasted French style baguette, liver pate, Vietnamese mayo, pickled radish and carrots, cilantro, and jalapeños. My favorite is the beef bone they give you with super tender meat. FYI for those not familiar : it's perfectly normal for your pho to come with raw beef in takeout orders. You will have to boil the broth and cook the meat. This is to keep it tender. If they precook it, the texture of eye of round beef will get tougher if not eaten immediately. Same deal for the noodles. If you want the best texture, ask them for raw noodles when you takeout. This way, it won't be already boiled and a bit more soggy during transport. Pro tip : cook your noodles and meat in a pot with just boiling water. This way, you're not using the broth to cook and mess up the taste and texture of the broth.
