Went last night and it was kind of disappointing! I read so many good reviews so I went last night with my boyfriend. Chips and salsa was super bland. The queso however was really yummy!!! I ordered the chicken chimichanga and my boyfriend got the Mamas Burrito. I ate more of his meal than my own! My favorite part of my meal was the refried beans The huge mamas burrito was so yummy besides the shrimp. The shrimp just didn't belong in there but everything else about it was delicious. We might've just come in on a bad night. The reviews are very good here so I believe that overall it's a good restaurant. read more

My fiance and I stopped by after work wanting too try the new restaurant out. The servers andmanager were very friendly and seemed too enjoy their jobs. The restaurant itself is very beautiful on the inside. It has a fun vibe and play music from Mexico that isn't Mariachi. The food portions are good for the prices. The only real complaint I have is the salsa is a bit bland, but the chips were fresh and I could tell. I ordered the Shrimp Enchiladas with Black beans. The Enchiladas were a bit on the spicy side which I loved, however the beans were barely warm. Aside from the beans and Salsa, this place was a great choice! We will be coming back because they have some nice margaritas for a great price. read more

We had traveled all day and were hungry, and we all love Mexican food. Place was busy, but we were seated fairly fast. But after that, it kinda was spotty service and not the best food. It took over an hour to even get our meal after order placed. They looked at us kinda strange when we asked for Valentina, or some hot sauce as the salsa tasted like pasta sauce with a couple pieces of onions and jalapeños floating in it. They completely messed up my parents meals that were ordered, but it had taken so long for food to get to us, we just ate it anyway. We came to the Lake for a quick getaway. Tried two other restaurants and they had 45 minute waits on a Friday. We came to Mama Cita's and were able to get seated right away. What a gem! The service was beyond excellent. Very attentive and on top of everything, from drinks to chips and salsa. We had fajitas and they were very good. Margaritas are excellent too. Had a couple birthday tables around us and they make a special point in recognizing them. Highly recommend! We had a great time. read more

It was fine, nothing terribly memorable, but still good. There was no wait, the staff was friendly and efficient. Drinks were refilled at appropriate times. My husband loved his fajitas. My eldest daughter and I both had the chicken quesadillas, and could have just shared one. There was a crazy amount of chicken on our quesadillas! But the chicken didn't have much flavor. They would have been better with about a third of the chicken. My youngest daughter had chicken strips. They were actually delicious! All in all, it was fine dinner. read more

Okay let's start out with the good. We were seated quick and place was immaculate clean. Menus we're well done with good selection. Service was prompt and food delivered accurately. Now the bad. God was way overpriced for what you were getting and the quality of the food. I ordered tamales and live great tamales. These were not. The taste of cilantro was overwhelming. The taste of the tamales were so wrong it not recognize them as such. They were just plain wrong. My wife had a good looking plate but she complained that is was basically tasteless. The staff was poorly dressed and the bartender was the worst dressed. Basic hygiene people. Look professional and you will be treated as such. Especially at 10.00 bucks for simple plates. I don't think we will venture from our usual Mexican restaurants. Good try folks, But a hit and a miss for us. read more

We eat here weekly for our mexican meal. We love it! The staff is always friendly and our food is always fresh! We usually get Canitas and Enchiladas. Always hot and so much flavor! Food has a lot of potential. I asked for no onions on my tacos and they came out covered in onions. Not a huge deal I was able to pick around them. The fajitas were hot but not sizzling like they should be. I ordered some tacos for my younger brother and ordered them without lettuce and low and behold they came out with lettuce. This is about as good as it gets in the area for Mexican food. We feel the steak fajitas are a little too seasoned/salty, so just now ask for light seasoning. What I like the most is their drinks. They have a Pina Colada-like drink with coconut tequila that's really tasty and so are the margaritas! We've been seated quickly the few times we've been there too, even when crowded. read more
