Sliced Octopus, potatoes and chorizo and parmesan cheese cream and black olives brunoise

This place was phenomenal!! This was the first place we went to for dinner on our first day in Seville in January 2017. We found it on Trip Advisor and at this was a perfect central location near the cathedral and touristy area. The staff was very friendly and started us off with a Malbec and brought us some bread and two cute little spoons of something delicious (wasn't sure what it was), but loved it! (See my photos for what it was). The presentation itself was very cute. To start, we ordered: -Iberico of acorns "Patanegra" ham served with warm bread, fresh tomato and figs in season -Smoked carpaccios cod, palomita, tuna with salad and fresh sprouts Both were fantastic! My boyfriend doesn't eat seafood, so the carpaccio was all for me and I loved every bite of it. It was the first time I've had fish this way (I didn't even know what carpaccio meant.. it means thinly sliced). But it was perfect. Not too fishy, and the salad added a nice touch to the starter. I also was able to try the iberian ham, which tasted delicious with the fig on the side. For my boyfriend's main, he ordered the "13 hours cooked Iberian piglet with honey, chili, fennel and baked potatoes" ... SO delicious!! He ate most of it since I had the "Sliced Octopus, potatoes and chorizo and parmesan cheese cream and black olives brunoise". I was still extremely pleased with my seafood bites, especially since I could try his! Finally, for dessert, we ordered: -Cheese cake baked with pineapple and ginger In yoghurt and green tea sauce -Crème brulé scented with lavender Both of us LOVE cheesecake, so of course we ordered it. However, the pineapple and ginger combination was a bit odd. I think I'd rather stick to the regular New York cheesecakes. The creme brule was delicious and the touch of lavendar was refreshing. I would definitely come back as a nice dinner out, but not $$$. :)

Delicious food, good wine, and friendly staff--and they offer a taste with each wine. There's a good reason the bill is a couple euros pricier. I got the Primogento Codoba (Sirah), which paired well with the marscopone risotto. Both excellent. My boyfriend got the Iberico platter and nearly wept. The next day we returned and I got the Valencia Bobal (not as good as the Codoba) and the blueberry risotto. My boyfriend got the duck fois gras. The blueberry risotto was another hit. The duck fois gras was solidly "okay", which I'd consider a miss for this place.

Excellent restaurant! New American meets Spanish = New Spanish. Very creative dishes - Watermelon "tartar" and manchego "flan". The suckling pig is the best I've ever had (keep in mind I am a New Yorker not a Spaniard) - so juicy with crisp skin. Very refreshing blood Mary with basil. Wait staff was friendly.

    Lavender scented creme brûlée!

Mediterranean/Italian place that stands out on a street of tapas bars and pizza places. This is a great place if you are looking for a real restaurant to sit and spend some time. Food: complementary bread rolls and small appetizer were good. We ordered the sliced Iberian ham and cheese platter, which had cool garnishes and was unique. Salad with pineapple and shrimp was refreshing. The risotto with pumpkin, ham and black truffle was great! Creme brûlée was yum. Portions were big so these were all shared between two people and we left stuffed. Service: great. Multilingual Spanish/English/Italian (at least), we overheard all of these languages at our neighbor tables. Waiters suggested good wines and were attentive. From the outside it looks like a small place but the inside is very deep and there are lots of tables. It stands out as the place with a big chandelier inside. Not the cheapest place in Sevilla but highly recommended!

We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We also ordered their sangria and tinto de verano. Every dish we ordered was AMAZING - tasty flavorful well seasoned melt in your mouth meat bursting with flavors. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.

To call this place rustic would probably capture…read moreit best, it's really probably more like a cafeteria or a school room at a very old school. Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.

I loved that I was only one person and did not get an eye roll for having to be seated at a table for 4 especially since it was so busy. My afternoon server, I forgot his name but he had blondish hair and slim, was just the nicest server you could hope for. The food was beyond amazing!! If you go make sure you get the bread (1€) it is a large roll that does not look much at first but was absolutely delicious. I was lucky enough though to get it hot out of the oven which was a game changer vs cold during my night visit. If you like sangrias they are made to order. I do not know the how the tasted but the lady beside me liked the first glass enough to order a second My favorite tapa was the sardine on a wafer like cracker. The spinach-chickpea dish is a local dish that I tried since it is a dish to have in Seville. It was way too much for one person but I did my best. The artichokes were good. Clean restaurant and had a one person size restroom.

They handed us some complimentary shots of the Naranja wine which was amazing. It's a tight space, gets crowded quickly.

The menu outside and the inner ambiance (and the fact that the place was mostly empty, so we could easily get a table) called to us, so we decided to check this place out. Let it be known that a mostly empty restaurant does not mean the food will be so-so! My husband and I agreed that this place has the BEST pizza we've had anywhere! It's light, flavorful, thin and crispy, and just down-right delicious! Ostia Antica has a menu that has English descriptions, making it foreigner-friendly if you don't speak or read Spanish, and a ton of vegetarian and allergy friendly options (they have allergies listed out next to each dish on the menu). I ordered the pizza vegetal (vegetable pizza), which was vegetarian and awesome (with or without the chili oil- which I would recommend if you want to add heat/spice to your food) and my husband (not vegetarian) got the pizza iberica (recommended to him by our waitress). He said his pizza was super flavorful and amazing. The ambiance is quiet (probably because there were only a few other couples there) and cool. They also played a good music selection that added to the "chill" vibe. Finally, the waitstaff was amazing. They were really attentive, switched to English when they noticed us struggling with our Spanish, and were so nice (and funny!). We'll definitely be going back and would highly recommend this place!
