Zero stars. We were walking by and it looked like a cute place with candles, with zero guests. We walked in to inquire about the menu and have a quick chat with the host. We eat in Paris a lot and love to check out different places to dine, ranging from Michelin stars to regular holes in the wall places. We also have a lot of business dinners in Paris where we entertain our associates and clients, so we want to make sure the customer service is good. When we walked in, the guy at the counter, whom we assumed was the host, but was dressed like a bum, asked us if we had reservations. I politely said we were just taking a look and wanted to see the menu so we could eat there next time. He looked very pissed off, "you are allowed to look around for 5 minutes, the area is closed." Excuse me, do you think we want to actually walk around the place for 5 minutes? What do you think your restaurant is, the Louvre or fricking Chagall exposition? There were zero people in there. This guy was so rude that we will never go to Malro, which, to us, just really stands for Malheureusement (French for Unfortunately), and we will also tell all our friends not to go here. Customer service right off the bat was already horrible. He also said, "I don't have a menu." He did not tell us if there was a QR code for the menu or some other alternative. The only plausible explanation I have for his bristling angry hostility is racism because we were Asian women who aren't worth his time or manners. read more
