I came here for Sunday brunch with friends and am already excited to find a time to come back.
Because it's a Sunday in Paris, almost anywhere worth going has a lineup for brunch. I arrived to about 8 people waiting outside. The server asked if anyone wanted to sit at the counter, and luckily no one ahead of me wanted to so my friends and I could snag three seats at the counter (which meant we got to watch the chefs cook while we ate!). Stepping inside, the restaurant has an Ottolenghi-esque vibe, with big salads and desserts laid out on the counter. I ordered one of their small salad plates (the large one is MASSIVE), and shared an order of pancakes with a friend for dessert. The salads were delicious, with lots of different flavours and textures. One had corn and rice, one with roasted sweet potato, another one with feta and baby lettuce, and there was some mango-yogurt-somethign spooned on top. My only sadness was that this was all only served with two small pieces of pita as I would have liked more. I could have stopped after the salad, as it was quite a generous portion, but I needed to try the ricotta pancakes with date syrup (the added bonus of sitting at the counter and talking to the chef is that they are more likely to add extra syrup if you're nice). The pancakes were so so good- light and fluffy, moist from the ricotta, and sweet (but not too sweet) from the syrup, berries and creme fraiche. The portion was also really generous. I think we would have been fine sharing one large salad plate and then the pancakes, based on portion sizes. Another friend took the gluten free granola with vegan yogurt (they also have non-vegan yogurt), so they are really inclusive for people with different dietary needs.
Small salads are 12.50, large ones 15.50, and pancakes are 10, so for a "brunch" if you don't stick with just one dish, expect to pay around 20 including coffee. read more
