Once you have had a Tony's crab cake, nothing else comes close. Their sides are incredible. We have to get the potato wedges every time we go. You can't go wrong with their salads either I love the Caesar and the Greek. I always like to try some of the other dishes as well. They have good pasta and seafood, and the short ribs are delicious in summary. Everything is top-notch at this place. We love it.!

Our server gave us the specials and a good explanation of all the food. He was friendly and not too distracting. I will say it was dark in there, but it helped to create the ambience. Definitely recommend a reservation. There are lots of people waiting.

Upon arrival, there was a bit of a wait, even though we had reservations and the restaurant was not at capacity. Once we were seated, Aubrey was very attentive--almost too attentive at first. We had barely sat down and hadn't even had a chance to look at the menu when she returned about two minutes later. We asked for a few more minutes, then ordered our water and drinks. Our wine arrived about 15 minutes later, and we placed our food order. About 20 minutes after that, our food was delivered by a different server. And then... no Aubrey. Ten minutes after our food arrived, Aubrey finally stopped by to check on us. By that point, there were issues with the food, but honestly, I was too tired to complain. Our wine glasses were empty, and she didn't ask if we wanted another. She simply moved on. The next time we saw her was when she brought the check. There was no offer of dessert, no final check-in, and no real effort to make sure we had enjoyed the meal. What made the experience even more disappointing was watching a server on the other side of the aisle provide attentive, engaged service to his tables throughout the evening. Well done, sir! Overall, this was a disappointing experience. The restaurant clearly has the ability to provide great service--we just didn't receive it. Our server was triple sat with 3 large tables and then us! [Not fair to do that to anyone at one time] Just the 2 of us and Mayson held it together but was overwhelmed. Under the circumstances anyone would be, Kudos to her for checking often with us. No suggestive selling-she was slammed!! Food; Onion straws, excellent and fast. Timing; Mayson had 18 people and us. We ordered entrees, country fried steak, white gravy, redskin potatoes, Ribeye and redskins potatoes. Mayson back, the kitchen was out of the Ribeye and other things @ 600 on Wednesday. I reordered, a Filet, our original order arrived as soon as Mayson left the table with a food runner. Then our food went back to the kitchen then back to us, suddenly the kitchen "found a ribeye!!" That was FAST! What ever the seasoning is????? OVERPOWERING spices,[I like spice but this was "Momma, was slapped too many times" overseasoned, MEGA Very nice portion but too overseasoned!!!! . Steak was delicious, CFS was greasy, not bad but could have been better. Mayson checking on us, drinks etc but forgot rolls & butter. We're guessing there was a manager clearing tables??? Our friendly waiter kept things moving. It was happy hour (3-6pm) so we got drinks at a reduced price. The menu had so many tempting choices it was difficult to choose. On a Sunday night, there was a wait, but we were able to snag two seats at the bar. The bartenders were great--I wish I remembered their names! They made some excellent food and drink recommendations and were very attentive. We started with a Caesar salad to share, which isn't pictured, and then ordered two pasta dishes that we absolutely devoured. Everything was delicious! The following day, we discovered that many restaurants are closed on Mondays, so we ended up at Carson's again. This time, we decided to check out the back porch. We were expecting a similar menu, but the back porch seemed to focus more on meat and fish options, while we were looking for sandwiches. So, we relocated to the main dining area at Carson's without a reservation. Thankfully, the hostess was able to seat us but let us know that we would need to be finished dining by 7 p.m., which wasn't a problem for us. Our server was great, and we started with the goat cheese appetizer, which was absolutely incredible! Unfortunately, my Buffalo chicken sandwich was drenched in Buffalo sauce to the point that I couldn't really enjoy it. My spouse and I also decided to share sides of the mac and cheese and smoked Gouda broccoli. I was pretty disappointed with both because they were heavily covered in truffle, which I personally don't like. Because of that, I wasn't able to enjoy my second meal here as much as I had hoped. Nonetheless, I would still recommend checking out Carson's. There are plenty of menu options, and our first experience was fantastic. Based on my two visits, though, I would strongly recommend making a reservation if you plan to dine here!

But the restaurant in the hotel went straight to the top of our list of 'oh, yeah, it's special' restaurants. My 1st dining rule is - order fish at a fish restaurant and order steak at a steak restaurant. So I cannot speak to other entre choices, except to say, there is something for everyone. But I can speak to steaks and sides. The ribeye was perfectly seasoned, perfectly medium rare, tender as a mother's heart, the key to any carnivore's heart. The sauces on the side complemented an already perfect steak. The table shared onion rings (you will regret not ordering this), asparagus (oh my, the garlic and shallot butter!), cheese topped potato wedges. Portions were generous and obviously meant to share. Did I forget to mention appetizers? We had enormous shrimps hiding under a spicy, tomato-y sauce that you should keep just a bite of those house made rolls to sop up when the shrimp is gone. Pomme Dauphine Calabrian Chili Aioli was the other appetizer (had to copy the spelling from their menu page because I don't want you to miss ordering this) (you WILL regret not ordering this). How could we have space for dessert? What can I say - the tiramisu had a flavor profile unlike anything I've experienced. Unique and delicious. I would be remiss to note the vibe of the place was customer focused service, warm atmosphere, beautiful surroundings. Truly a hidden gem.

We got some asparagus, potatoes, and the surprise of the night, the onion rings. Now I won't say they were better than the steak, that would be crazy. But they were the best onion rings I've ever had. Service was outstanding, especially on such a busy night, and the vibe was nice and felt high end for a fair price. Overall, a great experience.
