Dr Maloff and his staff have been extremely attentive and have given me excellent customer service for the 2-3 years I've been his patient. I have a P.syD for talk and Dr Maloff for medication. I retired with WC coverage but live in the next state and see him virtually. He can come off as abrupt occasionally but I've never had any experiences with him where I would say he was rude or incompetent like some of the 1 Star reviews. I'm not disparaging those folks but those reviews are not consistent with my experiences with him. I've been doing much better now that I've been his patient for a few years. read more

So I had a crisis last year and Dr. Maloff was the only Doctor available with in a 3 month span compared to many other Doctors I tried reaching out to in 2020. Our first meeting was via his encrypted app which I couldn't login to which really sucked because I needed a face to face but by the second session we were able to use FaceTime which really helped. The sessions were brief which I initially thought was too soon to get off FaceTime and had to be revealed but it was good enough for that time. When now happened he was very concerned and has been calling to touch base about the situation and I applaud that in a Doctor. Most Doctors just write you off if you are no longer a patient but Doctor Maloff has given me a new perspective. I highly recommend this Doctor for your needs read more

The one star rating is very generous and only because that's the only way I can leave feedback. This review is for Dr. Perry Maloff. To be clear he is not worthy of the 1 star, nor the Dr. title. If you are currently assigned to him through Workers Comp or are looking for a new Psychiatrist be warned....MOVE ON AND MOVE ON FAST! I don't like referring to him as Dr, so let's call him PM. This was my first appointment with PM and I spent just a few minutes giving him a history on my work injury and personal history. PM spent more time focused on my Orthopedic issues, stating he didn't think my hip was injured that he thought it was chronic back pain and began selling me on a spinal cord stimulator and chronic pain medication that he wanted to replace my anti depressant with. (Highly Unethical! He is assigned to me for Psychiatry and not Orthopedic treatment) After dismissing his Orthopedic opinions and sharing concern with his treatment plan he became very defensive and down right rude. I advised him I've been stuck in the WC system for a few years and I was concerned with any new medications being potentially denied by WC, as well I was concerned to go off a medication I've been on for years. At one point looking at me and stating excuse me but "your nuts!" I looked him right in the eyes and said "isn't that why I'm here?" This seemed to trigger him to the point he abruptly shut down the appointment and stated he didn't feel He was the doctor for me and kicked me out of his office. By far the most unethical, rude human being I've dealt with in this process of what should be ... healing. Do yourself a favor and dodge this bullet! As you can see he has Terrible reviews and most played out just the same as mine. Needless to say I left without much needed and prescribed medication after waiting 7 weeks for this appointment. I'm certain like other reviewers he will sling mud at me in his report, but I could care less. He knows me for all of 5 minutes. I have been seeing Dr Maloff many years. He has been there for you all these years. I now live in another state and I drive down to see him. I was so bad at one point I thought I would ever be able to feel normal I can say he has helped me. I would recommend him to anyone. He is straight forward he doesn't sugarcoat things to make you feel better. He gives you goals that are achievable, if you choose not to listen to his advice then you goals won't be met. I went to see this guy for an Evaluation for L.T.D. He is rude, condescending and a racist. He asked questions I gave him answers. At one point he said "that's not an answer. Why do you think that is an answer?". I told him it was and will be my answer. He asked questions about my family and when I said we had all gone to college he said "that's amazing that you ask went to college. Most Hispanic girls stop going to school but the fourth or fifth grade ". Then he asked what generation was I in America. I told him fourth generation. He said " then why was Spanish your primary language,didn't your family speak English?" Really? Does he not realize how ignorant he sounds? If you have to go see this guy.....DON'T! He should not be allowed to practice medicine, have the title of Dr or even be in contact with others. I ended up in the emergency room right after I walked out of the appointment. He did not care that I had health issues that he was making worse with his attitude and line of questioning. If your are looking a professional health provider, go somewhere else. my experience with his office staff was the worst. I made an appointment way over a month in advance as this was the only doctor that has the most prompt availability. I gave the office staff all my insurance information at the time of making the appointment. You would think that with a month time frame they could have verified my insurance coverage. The most frustrating part of this experience was that they had me confirm my appointment a few days before; which i did. the day before my appointment the staff calls me to let me know the procedure of how the doctor would be contacting me via Telehealth and what i need to do to access. Then no more than an hour later the same staff member call me to tell me that the doctor is out of my insurance network and that i don't have out of network benefits. she said that they received the information that same day so i couldn't be seen by the doctor the next day. BOLD LIE!!!! they didn't do their job and tried to cover their owe behind at the expense of my health. I would suggest and encourage anyone that if you are seeking "Adjustment Disorder and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder" do not reach out to this office. First of all, he makes it clear that he does not counsel on any level. My experience with this so-called psychiatrist was appalling. This man was barely a gentleman--let alone a professional. He is a poor listener with a one track 'mind-set.' We all have 'bad days' which might justify wearing a phony smile with a new client. But, by the time my unfortunate experience with him was over, the details in the office that I noticed prior to his calling me into his office caused me to wonder if he offers cares primarily for drugs addicts, while also offering prescriptions to clients who genuinely have mental issues. I feel this man is dangerous. He never took any notes during my sessions and didn't remember exactly what he told me from one session to the next. He gave me conflicting advice on two occasions. During my last session, I answered one of his questions and he rudely insisted that's "not an answer," adding he would not renew my prescription as a result, and waited for me to change my answer. (During my very first session, he made it clear that his only job was to prescribe medication.) I was dumbfounded, as I had no other answer (unless he expected me to make something up). I had already been in tears at this point, felt uncomfortable, and as the tension built up, being at an apparent standstill with him, I angrily told him then he doesn't have to renew my prescription. In short, he eventually stood up, said he was dropping me, and pretty much kicked me out of his office. Just my opinion, but I felt as though he didn't know how to handle my situation, so it was easier to let me go than to work with me. On a side note, I always arrived for my appointments on time, yet was always kept waiting a minimum of 20 minutes. I came home feeling worse than the first day I walked into his office. Went to the health food store the following day and am now working on natural solutions that deal with the problem to replace the medications that were only treating the symptoms, anyway. The employee at the health food store was also very knowledgeable on practical advice for daily living for relieving stress and anxiety. At my son's request, I came with him today to his first (and last) appointment with Dr. Maloff. I was only there for this first visit to provide the doctor with any questions he may have regarding my son's childhood history and previous diagnoses. I explained to Dr. Maloff that at age 7, even though he had a very high I.Q., the school wanted to hold him back because he was inattentive and disruptive in class. The doctor snapped back, "Your statement is conflicting. If he was so smart, why did they want to hold him back?" I'm sorry, were you not just listening? I went on to explain that the school offered another option which would be to take my son a psychiatrist to be tested for ADHD to see if medication could help him focus. The psychiatrist I took him to at age 7 put him on ritalin (a pretty common "fix" back in the 90's for every kid who was high-energy). I explained to Dr. Maloff that I took him off the medication after 30 days because it turned him into a total zombie. After being berated by Dr. Maloff for almost 10 minutes because I don't remember now, 20 years later, if ritalin made my son overly tired or just zoned out, my son stood up, thanked the doctor for his time and told him he was totally inappropriate, rude and out of line. Love seeing dr bob and dr maloff. All the staff there is awesome and helpful. But like all drs offices they are never in schedule.

I have been going to Dr. Maloff for many years! He takes his time with you and gets to know what is going on with you and takes an interest in your life and plans rather than shoving you out the door without so much as a care. A great group of professionals. The front staff are welcoming and address you by name. If I had a zero star to give, I would choose it instead of giving a one-too-many star for this practitioner! I am truly amazed that this aloof doctor is still in practice! Years ago Dr. Perry Maloff treated me for two years or so for my deep depression. At the beginning, he was average in terms of care and diagnosis, abrupt and very opinionated. After a few months, then things started to get harder and ugly. He prescribed me with psychotic medications which gave me severe allergic reactions over my body, rashes and itchiness all over. I even showed him my rashes, but he did not want to believe me, saying that I was just trying to find excuses to refuse his treatments. I shared my frustration about this doctor to my psychological therapist who at that time worked under him for many years; even this therapist told me that I was not the only patient of this doctor who had complaints against him. Apparently, there were many other patients before me who had grievances against this doctor. After two years, this doctor refused to continue to treat me, and he expelled me. I mean, at the final time I saw him in his office, he pointed his finger to his office door for me to leave right away; he threatened me that he would call the police (not security!) if I did not leave his office immediately. Honest to God, right after that, I actually felt relieved not to continue my treatments with this manipulative doctor. He proves himself to be the worst psychiatrist I ever have in my life, all of my other doctors treat me with trust, compassion, respect and dignity that I deserve. read more

Dr. Perry Mayloff is a "lifesaver". I met Dr. Mayloff at a time in my life that I needed help. He was patient, kind and understanding. He made me realize that I was going through a difficult time in my life but that with his assistance I would be OK. So much so that I am a stronger, healthy in every aspect and able to overcome. Words will probably never be enough to describe how thankful and appreciative I have been towards Dr. Perry Maloff. Long story short, back in 2011 I was diagnosed with depression. I really did not know what to do or expect when I went to see Dr. Maloff. I was loosing interest in a lot of the things I once enjoyed. I hardly spent time with my family anymore and just confined myself inside my bedroom most of the time. I was so emotionally drained that even when I slept for 12 to 14 hrs a day, I was still tired! Dr. Maloff took his time to understand my medical conditions and started me off with a weaker anti-depressant medications. The prescribed medications did not work too well for me and I started taking my own medication; alcohol. Dr. Maloff was very frank and firm with me. He told me that if i continue to drink alcohol, I would be going in the wrong direction. Dr. Maloff changed my medications and put me under numerous therapy sessions. Dr. Maloff took care of me, guided me, and counseled me. Now, I look forward to everyday. I am more energetic, have goals,and enjoying more activities with my family and friends. Unfortunately I cannot say the same thing about my childhood friend who lived in northern California. My friend undergone similar symptoms as me, but he did not seek helped until it was too late and passed away two years ago from depression and liver failure. Chances are, my friend's story could easily be mine had I not seeked help.
