We are staying here as part of a group tour and have had a terrible experience. The group tour is fantastic, but this hotel needs some work. When we arrived, they had not a single key card ready and this tour had been booked 6months prior at least. When it came to it, it took over an hour to get us our key cards, which probably should have been ready far before. Secondly, we are here for St Patrick's day and understand there is an influx of people due to the holiday. Yet, wouldn't you assume they would prepare for this event knowing they are only about 9km from the city centre? I went to the bar earlier, went up to order a couple of whiskeys and pizza, and the girl told me to go sit and someone would be right over. Now, everyone else is getting their drinks and orders put in straight away, and I am staring this lady down knowing she BSed me. So I walked back up to order again. I asked a different lady who put my order in straight away... Lastly, their room service has 2 menus: 1 from 3-10pm and 1 from 10pm-6am. We called at 9:45 to have a girl tell us that they are not serving room service any longer cause the kitchen is closed, then she switched her story to tell us the kitchen closes at 9:30 to clean and prepare for the next menu. Finally, a manager calls us to ask what the issue was and informs us that they are just super busy and don't have a waitress working. So you're telling me that on the busiest day in all of Ireland, you don't staff up... We didn't have a choice to stay here, but wish we did. read more
