I returned the truck to his shop 2 days later . During the 2 year warranty period he had my truck for 138 days (over 4 months). He never fixed the gear shift indicator and the 1870 code will not clear for more than about 10 miles. The truck still shifts very hard. I took Transnet transmission ( Tracy Jones ) to small claims court in Mason County and won. It has been 80 days and he has not payed a penny of the judgment.

Got my truck back hauled three loads and it slipped into neutral and back to gear I checked fluid was off the stick and wet everywhere under the truck. I called he said bring it in I'll fix it. He kept the truck for 6 weeks then texted me it was done key under mat. Took it home hauled a load off road and no 4x4. Called he said must of forgot to hook something up. finally got time to fix it myself 4x4 came on and it popped into neutral. checked it was off the dip stick fluid everywhere again. Called no answer no return call twice. Now it is acting bad from the low fluid and I am paying again to get the work done somewhere else.

Once again, Montana and his staff were awesome. We had a possible major leaking issue, and after…read moresome research, the potential cost to fix was very very expensive, almost to a point where we would consider getting a new vehicle. Montana was super patient and documented our concerns, was very transparent in what he and his staff was going to do, and was incredibly prompt in keeping me up to date on the status of the vehicle. Because of his due diligence, he confirmed that there was no major major issue, but there were some things that needed to be addressed. I will always have the peace of mind that he and his staff will not charge you for unnecessary things just for the sake of making money. I 100% trust this place, and going forward this is our go-to shop for all maintenance related things.

I don't even know how to rate this review. I gave it a generous 3, but you make your own opinion!…read more I had a 2 year, 24k mile warranty for a complete transmission rebuild completed 3 years ago. Current day, 10k miles later & 3 years on the transmission, it went again. Even though the 2 year warranty expired, the low miles traveled we were able to work out a fair agreement were I pay for the cost of parts and they pay for all other cost such as labor, disposal or special fees. It took 2.5 weeks to get to the agreement. Then another 5.5 weeks of repairs only for them to tell us that the rebuilt transmission was doing the exact same thing that it was brought back in for 8 weeks ago. Another couple days and they determined what it was. And the saga continues; They sent that part out to be rebuilt. It was returned, delivered and stolen off their doorstep. They had to order & pay for another and get it installed. Here we are after 10 weeks without my truck. Truck in hand now and seems to be fine. How many stars would you have gave?

1-Star Review for Transmissions Unlimited Title: Nightmare…read moreExperience - Avoid at All Costs! I brought my 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 to Transmissions Unlimited for a shifting issue, and what followed was months of frustration, poor service, and unresolved problems. After dropping it off, scheduler James Quick called a few days later saying the clutches were shot and needed a full rebuild, plus replacing the transmission cooler lines which he claimed were leaking--despite no evidence of a leak before I brought it in. I agreed since the transmission was coming out anyway. Two weeks later, I picked it up after paying a hefty bill (around $7,500 for the work), only to find the shifting problem was exactly the same, and now it was leaking from the new lines they installed. I took it back, and they diagnosed it as bad batteries and alternator, quoting me $1,200 to fix. This didn't add up since the issue was identical to before. I consulted other shops, who suggested a governor solenoid problem. I replaced the batteries and alternator myself--no change, and the leak persisted. Called again, spoke to Gabe, who said bring it in for a quick fix. But dealing with James was a nightmare--he was rude, annoyed, and hostile every time I tried to schedule or get updates. They had my truck for days without touching it, even though racks were empty when I dropped off. One time, they put it on the rack, then immediately parked it outside to work on someone else's vehicle. After weeks of delays and more hostility (no ETAs, excuses about being busy), they finally called saying it was done: blamed my Edge tuner (which they removed without asking) and replaced the governor solenoid. Happy to get it back, but the leak was still there. Called yet again--more rudeness from James. Scheduled with Gabe, dropped off, got warned about a shop dog that "will rip your nuts off." They looked at it for 15 minutes, said they couldn't fix the leak (which they caused), and asked me to return Friday at 8 AM sharp. I showed up early, only to be told they might not get to it, making me feel like a burden. Eventually they did, but the unprofessionalism from the front desk guy was off the charts. This dragged on for over two months with repeated visits, the same issues persisting, and zero accountability. I don't even think they properly diagnosed the original problem. Save yourself the headache--stay far away from Transmissions Unlimited. It's an absolute disaster

I write this beyond disgusted on behalf of my elderly veteran father who was left multiple times stranded on the side of the road after spending $6,600 on a new transmission that he had to take back 3 times, then less then 2,000 miles into this "new transmission" he broke down again out of state. When he called to speak to the owner and mechanic Gabe the very rude man who answered the phone responded to my father with "well what do you want me to do about it" when my father told him he was broke down on the highway. Then this same man told my dad if he wanted a copy of his receipt "get a lawyer" after Gabe refused to honor his warranty and left him stranded in another state. I strongly advise you to take your time and money elsewhere. This shop should be SHUT DOWN!
