Salad and Miso

Awesome. Maki is a great vibe with a simple bar and clean aesthetic. I had miso, salad, dumplings and NY Strip hibachi. The portions were huge, price was great, and food was delicious. This place is fantastic.

What a wonderful data night. I wanted Hibatchi but did NOT want Kobe's. This was much better, flavors were amazing, service was great, the space is cute and cozy, and the food was a 10! The Crispy Rice Tuna was AMAZING! I LOVE sushi, and Tuna tartar but haven't had anything this good before. We will be back for sure to bring the kids. Oh and the Yum Yim Sauce....YES YES YES!

First time visit. EXCELLENT. Fresh and very friendly staff. I did take out which was right in time. Volcano Roll was almost enough to share. Maki Combo was a hit. Fresh Tuna and Salmon. Perfect amount of spice and flavors. For sure to stop by next time in town

Honestly the most underrated sushi spot in Orlando, and sad I didn't know about it sooner. The sushi is so fresh and the proportion to rice to fish is unreal especially for affordable it is even in this economy. We got the spicy tuna spicy salmon hibachi yellowtail and crunch roll and every single piece was so good. You didn't even to add soy sauce or any dip with it. We ordered to go rice hibachi for my dad and it was also delicious. Overall, I'm was extremely impressed with the quality, service and taste of the food. Will definitely be back

Update: came back for the Nigiri plate. I would not recommend. It was just 5 different types of fish, sliced WAY too thick, cut in half on rice. There was nothing other than the thick fish and rice. We were really disappointed, hoping there would be a sear or a butter or a mayo, to make the pieces unique, but there was nothing. Would NOT recommend the Nigiri

shrimp hibachi

Yummy hibachi with choice of rice or noodles. The menu is quite big and their sushi is good. Kinda wish there was more shrimp but otherwise good food. The ambiance is very cute

Checked out this new Hibachi place in Orlando, very modern inside, quite beautiful, not your typical hibachi ambiance! Wait staff efficient and friendly!! Celebrating our daughter's recent graduation from UCF and looking for somewhere to celebrate!! We started with edamame in garlic sauce, a little heat at the end of the bite, nothing short of amazing and we all tried different hibachi groupings! Overall we had a great experience!!

Service is always great. Food is delicious. Limited parking but worth figuring it out. Nice simple dining room. Affordable and tasty! Check the wait time online because sometimes it's slower and sometimes it's packed.

This place is nicee, servers are professional and clean place. It's a busy restaurant and thank god we only waited less than 1hr. My friend ordered chicken hibachi, bowl of chicken and I ordered Kalbi it taste really delicious and full of flavors. They both approved this place. We will come back one day.

Love the ambiance inside the restaurant. Service is good and the food is great. Huge portions and reasonably priced. Only thing that sucks is there's limited parking/street parking on a busy road.

Spicy poké don

The fish was very fresh! Price is reasonable. I would come again. I would recommend adding sauce. The server let me add the garlic sauce and spicy mayo. Service was good! The ambiance is ok, the lamps on the table were rusty. I don't really care about that that much though because it's a casual restaurant.

Maki Poke Don
Madison T.

Came in for a quick bite and was not disappointed. I got the Maki Poke Don which had tuna, salmon, escolar, and yellowtail, which is a great choice if you want a variety of fish. The service was very fast and our server was very accommodating when I asked for sauces, wasabi, and ginger.

Kitchen is also open with a bar that looks directly into the kitchen as you dine. Drinks are simple. Plum wine, Japanese whisky options, beer, and soft drinks. Also a few mixed drinks, but again nothing crazy or exciting. Food was fresh and pretty good. The tuna sashimi appetizer was fantastic! The sauce is like a yum-yum and black sesame blend. Incredible. The bowl was wayyyyyy too sweet for me. Too much of the sauce. But the rice and chicken were pretty good. The pork belly is grilled and not seasoned much. So added it to the bowl to calm the sweet and it worked well. Overall, this place isn't worth queuing for, but still pretty good considering its location. Solid 6/10 for me.

This time I went with my husband and we ordered a few small plates and an espresso martini. The espresso martini was pretty standard, but we've definitely had better. The shishito peppers were okay, but I feel like I've gotten more in the past with an order. The karaage was highly disappointing, the sauce was overwhelming and made the fried chicken coating slightly soggy. I think a dry seasoning would've paired better. The beef cheek had nice presentation, but didn't really impress with the flavor; there's better places for yakitori. The otoro we got was decent. The ribs were my favorite of the night with good sauce and they fell off the bone. And then my real favorite of the night was the ube cheesecake, so delicious and flavorful! The service was great and the server was helpful in bringing us a happy hour menu after we asked. Interior was dark and had good vibes for a date night.

I don't feel they do a great job explaining their menu to people who are unfamiliar with udon, especially cuz there are no pictures for them to see what they're ordering. It was fine for me as I'm super familiar with Japanese food. We got tempura udon, which is something I've been craving, and they did a great job. I highly recommend it. We didn't feel like a cocktail so I got an iced tea and he got a viet coffee but they served it in a cocktail glass so it was such a small amount... def shoulda been served in a tall glass, cuz why do I have to be slowly sipping that c'mon. The service was good. They were all friendly and courteous. Oh, parking is a nightmare. There's a lot in the back but you'll be lucky to find a spot. There's street parking but that's also crazy. Def not their fault but just be aware. All in all a nice place. I'd def come back again for their food.

Of the zensai (appetizers), I've tried the Tatsuta-Age, which was pretty tasty. Hot and crispy with good flavor. The udon is also top notch. They make it in house. Perfect chewy texture, what Taiwanese would call "QQ" I realized after my second visit that I still have not tried an udon with hot broth. I've tried the Spicy Miso Tan-Tan Udon, which was quite tasty, although a little on the richer/heavier side. I have also tried the Mentaiko Tsukimi Udon which was refreshing in the cold broth. I paired it with an add-on of sliced beef, which was delicious, they serve it on the side so you can add to whatever dish on your own. What I wouldn't recommend... The Viet Coffee with sesame foam and crushed sesame seeds was hard to drink. I loved the initial flavors but the foam got a little greasy and clumpy when mixed with the crushed sesame seeds, particularly toward the second half of the coffee. I wouldn't order it again. I would be interested to see any updates they've made recently but with so many new restaurants on Mills, I may choose those first.

Dim lights and couches making it feel casual but yet upscale at the same time. The host and the wait staff was super attentive and great to have, no issues or problems with them. They were very kind and accommodating and super helpful in terms of trying to figure out all allergies and what my child could or cannot eat, but also make adjustments so that she has options. Now for the food! We had gotten the beef skewer and chicken skewers as appetizers and let me tell you they were probably the best meat skewers that I've had in a Izakaya style Japanese restaurant. The steak was so tender and had great flavor, same with the chicken! The sauce was good, maybe a bit too heavy on the sauce but good pairing! 5/5 The tuna flight was . So good and the cuts of tuna was so tender and was amazing, good garnishes on top! 5/5 The rolls, we got a couple Yellow Fever: it was good, I'm not sure if I was a fan of the asparagus but it was good to have every now and then every other bite or so but not every time. It did have a slight kick to it but I liked it. Distinguished Gentleman: was great. The meat was tender and it had good flavor and my kids enjoyed it as a more kid friendly sushi, but I also enjoyed one bite that I was able to sneak before the kids devoured it. Shrimp Tempura roll (specially made for allergies): Standard goodness! I also almost forgot, I had gotten King Salmon nigiri and also eel nigiri, salmon was good! Normal salmon vibes 4/5 but the eel...probably the most disappointing menu item tbh. Tasted like the frozen Asian grocery store eel, just underwhelming and not a little tough. 2/5 wouldn't order again. but Overall, it was everything was great, we had good service and good food! Sushi Tomi is one of the original secret Asian American staples of Orlando that opened in 2013 back when Orlando was known as Mickey Mouse's backyard. It's decently priced, albeit far, and provides a nice sense of comfort. We went on a week night and they were still super busy. Located closer to East Colonial area, it's at 8463 S John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32819. Their claim to fame are their bento boxes and different lunch and dinner sets, which is to say you will leave full with a balanced meal. I won't lie, I have been wanting to go for the longest time. I felt like some kid pressing his face up against a window, just watching everyone go and enjoy their meal. So this was really great for me, personally. I got their dinner tempura and sushi set. The set came with miso soup and salad as well as a variety of meats and veggies that had been tempura coated and fried with a side of rice. I also ordered a sparkling jelly sake drink, a tamago nigiri and eel nigiri. My overall portion costed about $45 without tip. The set gets a 8.5/10 rating from me. I kinda wish I just went with the tempura set instead of trying to have the best of both worlds. Not that the sushi was bad or anything, but the tempura was really the star of the show. It was so fresh and crispy and light and amazing with the sauce they served it with. The sushi was fine and well made, I just had heart eyes for the tempura. The tamale nigiri and the eel nigiri was good, but not the best I have ever had. They had other things on their menu, but I really recommend going here for Japanese basic meals or comfort meals. I think it's not dazzling, but provides you with a sense of comfort. Not to mention the service was amazing, and it truly was authentic and not gentrified. My overall rating is 9/10 for the whole experience. I will be back whenever I am in the area.
