I had the chance to get my makeup done by Gel for a special photoshoot. From the moment I walked into BB Boutique & Salon, Gel welcomed me with a smile and the utmost professionalism and warmth. She did an amazing job on my makeup and delivered exactly the look I'd asked her for- natural, yet elevated. I truly felt beautiful and am grateful to have found a such a talented MUA and all around kind person. Snag a spot in her chair when you can, especially since, understandably, she books up quick! read more

Gel and Gem absolutely saved the day for us! We hired them to come to our Airbnb on our son and daughter-in-law's wedding day to do hair and make up for the bride, bridal party, and both moms. Everything was going perfectly... Until we suddenly lost power at the Airbnb that morning! Needless to say, we were in a bit of a panic. Without hesitation, Gel and Gem came to the rescue. They opened up their salon for us, brought in an additional hairstylist, and worked their magic to get everyone ready in time for photos and the ceremony. We honestly don't know what we would have done without them! Not only are they incredibly talented at hair and makeup, but they created such a warm, welcoming, completely stress-free environment for all of us. They made us feel right at home and somehow turned what could have been a very stressful morning into a fun and memorable part of the wedding day. And the results were amazing! We received so many compliments throughout the day about how beautiful everyone looked. They truly made the bride, bridal party, and both moms feel absolutely gorgeous. Gel and Gem are not only incredibly talented, but they are also absolute sweethearts! Their kindness, flexibility, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond when we needed them most meant so much to our family. We highly, highly, highly recommend Gel and Gem for any special occasion - especially your wedding day. You will be in the best hands! read more

I booked Gel for my wedding makeup and of all the vendors I was most nervous about makeup because I don't wear it that often and know very little about how to do it correctly. But boy was I in good hands! I saved photos off of her instagram of things I liked and she was able to tailor that to me during the trial and then day of was even better. I did not think it was possible that I could look that beautiful! She did my bridal party and the vibes she brought were immaculate! She got along great with everyone and they all loved their makeup! Also she was on time and very quick and was even able to schedule in some of my bridesmaids that changed their minds because they saw how good everyone looked! My makeup lasted all day and into the night. Honestly I wish I lived closer to her to have my makeup down by her more often! read more

Really sweet person, not great execution.. was left disappointed with my bridal look for both both makeup + hair. Poor communication and felt like they were too overbooked to care about the outcome. read more

Honestly best experience and a total game changer! I had my makeup done my Gel for my maternity photoshoot but was not able to get her for newborn photos because it was so last minute and money was just too tight. After looking at the photos and seeing what a huge difference it was, i will NEVER get professional photos done without her services! Also she is hilarious and entertaining to be around which us a total plus . Photo posted shows pictures done by the same photographer and editing but on the left with makeup by Gel and right is without. read more

Amazing service. She made me feel beautiful and listened to! It felt like we were friends by the end of our two short sessions. She was super easy to work with and was so kind to accommodate my odd time and schedule requests due to a sunrise elopement. The makeup held up flawlessly for over 13 hours of hiking and picture taking. Highly recommend. Thank you, Gel!! read more

I need to give Gel 500 stars!! We needed a makeup artist for my son's wedding for family members. We traveled to Tacoma from San Diego. Gel was recommended by another artist I met at a bridal bizarre and I was a bit nervous as I hadn't spoken or met Gel. I reached out and we chatted. She's SO dang cute and what you see is what you get. She's reassuring, patient and kind. Above and beyond all that, that girl knows her stuff!! I told her we have a vast range of ages and looks- "No problem!" I perused her Insta and saw incredible work. And she had 6 of us to work on- I thought for sure we'd have to start the night before!! She arrived at 9 and I brought her up to the room. She worked on me first and then my daughter. I have "mature" skin (old) and she made me look like I was 40!!! Ok maybe 50 but I am 61. LOL. She made me look beautiful!!! She was in a groove just doing us one after the other. She sweet. Easy to talk to. We laughed about family and drama and weddings. By the time she left, it was like sitting around talking g with girlfriends. She did such a beautiful job on all of use. We did not look like carbon copies. She individualized each of our looks. I felt and looked amazing. Now remember-- I booked Gel sight unseen and I'm so happy fate brought her to us!! Thank you Gel for making us all look so beautiful and stunning!! We really enjoyed our time with you!! read more

I absolutely loved working with Gel and would recommend her to anyone looking for a make-up artist in the Greater Puget Sound area. She made me feel so comfortable and like a STAR for my wedding. Trial run - We completed the trial run in Bremerton at Gel's home studio. The space is beautiful, easy to find, and there is plenty of street parking. Gel agreed to still meet despite it being a complete snowstorm outside! (I currently live out of state and had limited days while in the area). Gel is also very receptive to feedback and wants you to look and feel your best! (Not that I had much feedback to give because she is just that darn good!) Wedding Day - Gel and her sister Gem travelled all the way to Seattle for our wedding. We asked for an 11am call time and they showed with plenty of time before to set up and get situated. They completed my sister, best friend, mom and MIL in record time and left plenty of time to get me super dolled up. They made the moms feel so comfortable and were flexible with changes the Titas asked for. They made my sister and best friend also feel so comfortable! Gel's make up did not budge and we cried A LOT (happy tears of course) during the wedding. I'd book Gel again in a heartbeat. Absolutely love, loved, LOVED working with her! read more

Gel is amazing! She made me feel beautiful. Also took in consideration of my skin care allergies and all. She did my make up for trial, bridal shower and wedding! All three was amazing! I tried the airbrush make up and it went amazing! I felt so bad ruining it in the middle of her doing my make up on my wedding day. I don't have the greatest self esteem but gel surely made me feel like a princess. I will definitely use her for any events I have in the near future! read more

Gel was amazing for my wedding makeup because she is so artful and talented with all skin types, face shapes, etc and also she is truly such a fun and caring soul. The makeup for myself, my mom, my mother-in-law, and my aunts turned out beautifully. She helped us all feel beautiful on the outside while also help us radiate from the inside with all her compliments and conversations and laughs. It was great to have her get us ready because she and Gem (her twin who did our hair) really brought the high energy and made me feel so relaxed before the ceremony. I had done a trial run with them and loved the look she did on the first try. About a couple weeks before the wedding, I let her know that I wanted my brows to be a bit softer to be more what I'm used to - she takes feedback super well and really created my dream look the day of. For my moms and aunts, there was a wide range of people who knew exactly what they wanted and had a lot of specific requests vs people who just gave a general vision -- Gel did an amazing job on us all no matter what. AND I never had to touch up, even though I sobbed during the ceremony and toasts and sweat a lot while dancing during the reception. It stayed flawless on me and my relatives (who also cried and danced the night away). Truly a pleasure to work with Gel. read more

Where do I start?? This woman is an incredible makeup artist! She is professional, fun, somehow fast with perfect results, and also acts as your hype woman! She did makeup for my 4 bridesmaids, my Mother and Mother in Law and myself for my recent wedding. Gel played music all morning, came prepared, was encouraging, made us ALL feel beautiful, and just made for an easy and seamless process. We were even ahead of schedule for my big day. As a bride, I highly recommend airbrushing, and the "chest glow". It made all the difference that day. She also made my 70 year old Mom feel gorgeous...I can't say the last time she felt that way, and it made me so happy to see her happy. PLEASE don't hesitate to hire this incredible woman! I'm so thankful that I did. read more

I had an initial makeup lesson with Gel, and it was awesome! She did such a great job showing me how to apply every day makeup plus makeup for being on video including what tools to use and why. I loved the look - not cakey and my fine lines weren't visible. She's very knowledgable and super fun! If you're like me and are clueless with make-up, see Gel! read more

Gel is such an excellent and kind teacher! I had a virtual lesson with her this afternoon to prepare for my wedding in a few weeks and left feeling so confident. I've always questioned if I was using the right shades/the right amount of product/the right placement, and Gel walked me through everything! She first shows you how to apply the products and then watches you apply and gives feedback. She is so enthusiastic, really calling out when you do good work. How much she cares is so evident. She's great, would highly recommend! read more

Gel was so great to work with. She was recommended to me by my wedding hair stylist and I am so glad she was available. She made all the bridesmaids, my mother, new mother in law and myself all look amazing! When the first trial didn't feel enough like me (even though it was still beautiful) she was able to accommodate a second trial and help me figure out exactly what I was looking for. With her help our whole bridal party looked flawless - with time to spare - and we were able to spend the day celebrating instead of worrying about our makeup. I would 100% recommend Gel to anyone needing their makeup done! read more

I had Gel do my makeup for both my rehearsal dinner and day of wedding. Her work is truly gorgeous and she is so accommodating. For my trial run, we tried airbrush for myself and learned that this type of makeup didn't work for my style, so we went with traditional makeup. Gel was able to fit me in for another makeup trial just before my wedding to make sure we got the look down right. Truly she is so kind, funny, talented and organized. Highly recommend her for your makeup needs. I will be trying to get her to do my makeup for any reason I can come up with!! Her work makes me feel so beautiful! read more
