Gina did my eye lashes for my wedding and they turned out so beautiful and natural looking and the 2 hour application process went by quickly. Gina also did my hair for our rehearsal and my bridesmaids hair for our wedding. I have pretty fine, long hair (and a lot of it) and Gina advised me on what she thought would work best with my hair type so it wouldn't fall out throughout the day. The end result was a bohemian side braid that was totally Pinterest worthy. My bridesmaids all had different updos and I asked Gina to make them more flowy and romantic rather than tight and traditional. Once again, Gina came through and my girls hair looked AMAZING. She was able to choose styles that worked for them and complimented their overall style and face. My girls said that they had never felt so pretty before. Gina is extremely professional and is a pro at what she does. I would highly recommend her, over and over again.

I literally had to have my maid of honor redo my hair as well as fix the rest of my bridesmaids makeup. Not to mention she has cancelled and rescheduled countless times for makeup consults. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

EVERYONE who got her makeup by her immediately had to go to the bridesmaids to get it fixed because she did a MINIMAL job. She rushed everyone because she said she had a bride from out of town coming in for a makeup trial, even though she had a bride in her chair... I paid $125 for my hair... biggest waste of money ever. All her partner did was curl it. No style, nothing. She didn't even touch my baby hairs (which are pretty long). It was a hair sprayed mess that I tried to fix. She literally curled it and I sat there waiting and she looked at me and said "oh we are done." Don't waste your money. I've had better hair service from a mall kiosk by someone trying to sell me a curling iron.

Last October I decided to change hair stylists since I recently moved to Steilacoom. I had been…read moregetting my hair done by my other stylist for three years. I was very scared to find someone new. What would I do if they ruined my hair? What if they were not flexible with colors and changes? I'm a whirlwind with my ever changing hair and trying out different colors. I found Sophie through her five star reviews on here. I looked through her pictures and noticed that not only was she amazing at doing hair but she is also an artist. So I sent her a text and I've been going there since. She is an intuitive, knowledgeable, creative, and sparkling individual. Due to her talents I go back every two to three months to get a gorgeous new color scheme. I've also sent two of my best friends her way and they are regulars too. She has an eye for detail and a beauty that fits each person uniquely. Every time I leave I feel like a million dollars. Thank you, Sophie!

I have been seeing another stylist in Seattle for years. His talent has been hit or miss (usually…read morehit) until just recently. Granted my hair may not be the easiest to cut since both sides are shaved and I had quite a bit of breakage in the back, so my styles can be limited. I went to see him for a cut earlier in the year and unfortunately he must've lost his groove because he butchered my hair. He had done the same cut a while back for me and did it beautifully but for some reason was just not able to pull it off this last time. I couldn't stand the uneven cut that didn't seem to have any rhyme or reason and I got online looking for someone, anyone, to fix this mess on my head. And just to make it even more difficult for my newfound stylist, I decided I wanted to take my all black hair to ombre for the summer. I'm a research freak. I will spend hours online reading reviews, looking at pictures, weighing the pros and cons. And admittedly I'm a bit of a snob as it pertains to businesses in Tacoma vs Seattle. While I've been in Tacoma a good part of my life, I do feel there is more talent in Seattle. As if the people reviewing places have a higher standard. I mean, Tacoma peeps give Moctezuma's a 4 star and claim it's one of the best Mexican restaurants here. Just stop it. I don't trust you people. But I digress, I wanted to find a salon close by, but was also willing to travel if need be. I mean, it's my HAIR. Enter Sophia. I came upon Dolce Salon's page by way of research (of course) and somehow found Sophia in the mix. Then I found her personal review page (cause I'm thorough like that) and besides reading some awesome reviews...have you seen her pics?? Her work is gorgeous and what sealed the deal with me was her owl makeup. Yes. Owl makeup. It was incredible. Anyone that has that much talent to transform a face into an owl as beautiful as that can take my money. And my instincts were right. I was able to easily get an appointment with her. While the online system said there were only a few openings, I ended up messaging her to see if she had any other availability and I was fortunate that she did, cause I may have shaved my head off had I not been able to get in soon. Sophia worked her magic. She looked at my horrible mop, made some suggestions, informed me of what may or may not lay right cause of the awkward cuts in my hair and off to work she went. Within a couple of hours she gave me the wonderful layers and ombre color I had envisioned. It turned out even better than I imagined it would - again it looked like absolute sh*t when I went in so I wasn't sure if it was salvageable. I'm sold and so happy I now have a stylist in town I can go see. I can't wait for what's next, more colors, maybe a pixie cut - I have to keep it evolving or I get bored. And now with Sophia in my corner I can be excited and not scared about my next hair project.

Yessie is so kind and thoughtful. She left me with some lipstick for touch ups later in the day which I had not expected and I really, really appreciated. Yessie was always flexible and tried out different hairstyles with me at my trial. She was really patient and we felt awful when Wes forgot to bring down her final payment from our room to pay her on our wedding day.. so she had to wait until we could send my brother to our room to find the envelope we had prepared for her. In the end, we finally got it to her in-person, despite some confusion over where to find her when she stepped out for lunch but she took the delay in stride and never showed any impatience or unhappiness with us to which I am forever grateful. Really embarrassing for me to share, but I just really wanted to thank Yessie and explain just how perfect she was to us despite our hiccups. Thanks Yessie for being so fantastic and understanding!

TL;DR: Do NOT book with her…read more I am extremely disappointed with my experience and feel obligated to warn others. I booked this hair and makeup artist last year for my August 2026 wedding and paid a deposit to secure my date. Everything seemed fine at the time of booking, but when I reached out in January to schedule my trial, I received no response. I followed up multiple times over the course of four months via email, text, and phone calls--ignored every time. My wedding planner also attempted to contact her on my behalf, with no success. At this point, it is clear this is not a case of a missed message or temporary delay--Yessie ghosted me as a client. Because of this, I was forced to find and book a new hair and makeup artist under time pressure, adding unnecessary stress during what is already a busy planning period. To make matters worse, I never received my deposit back. For other future brides out there, please do not let Yessie scam you. Taking a client's deposit and then completely disappearing without any communication or services rendered is unacceptable.
