Very unproffesional staff. I'm highly disappointed as a person whose had surgery by this office nearly 10 years ago. I tried to cancel an appointment recently and the staff hung up in my face mid sentence! They already have my deposit which I did not ask for back. Make peace Charles - He is the worst. DO NOT GO TO HIM. I don't know what BS reviews these are!! Just read the real 1-star reviews, not the fake ones. Firstly, he overcharges by double! He does terrible stitches and leaves infections. He nicks skin during surgery, causing other ones to erupt after. He does the stitches in the wrong direction and uses the wrong type of stitches--not supposed to use dissolvable with this procedure. Weeks of swelling, stitches protruding from my poor daughter's lip, pus!!! He has no empathy, no compassion, takes no accountability for his terrible work or errors, and clearly doesn't give a crap about his patients. We found an AMAZING woman doctor in WPB--Dr. Monika Ducharme!!!--where she had the same procedure, and the difference in outcome was from hell to heaven. My daughter was almost healed by the next day. There was nothing--no swelling, no infections, no pus, no protruding stitches! Just neat stitches that were perfect and hardly noticeable. She looks amazing and needed no downtime at all!!! SHE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL--HER LIP IS ALMOST PERFECT, maybe two days to complete perfection! ON TOP OF THAT, she WASN'T in-network and was a FRACTION OF THE COST!!! I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO SEE HER!!! read more

I came in needing all four wisdom teeth removed immediately due to excruciating pain and an impacted tooth. The office took me in immediately and scheduled me for surgery right away. Dr. Charles and his staff are very pleasant and easy to communicate with. They worked out a financial plan with me for my surgery and provided quality care throughout the entire process. Doctor was late so the procedure was rushed and started before anesthetic kicked it but that is not my main issue. Unfortunately this was an emergent visit as going out of town for a work trip and had to have a wisdom tooth pulled that was broken and infected. I have very good insurance but with their extra fees I ended up having to pay $423 for 1 tooth extraction. My brother went to a different dentist a month earlier and ended up only paying his $50 deductible for 3 teeth. Major difference. Also, when I questions the number of sedation units they were charging prior to the procedure, they advised 1 hour is the minimum they bill for. My procedure lasted 15 minutes, they over charged my insurance 3 units which was almost $500 that they paid. After multiple conversations with several staff members they finally agreed to send in a corrected claim. They have yet to refund the insurance although it shows on my ledger as a patient refund?? I can only imagine how many times they have billed for services not rendered. If you do go to this office, pay attention to what they charge. read more

I miss my smile....hiding my teeth for now I've become practically wheelchair bound due to an accident at the age of 22; now at 53 I'm in need of 4 surgeries with 2 being repeats. I'm in constant pain & sad more than I am happy; therefore, getting dressed & out takes great effort & mental preparedness on my behalf. Thanks to Dr Charles & his understanding staff, I'm motivated to getting necessary oral treatment I've been avoiding due too unpleasant prior experiences with other dentists. I thank Jehovah that for the first time in my life, I enjoy my dental appointments because they are at Dr Charles office. Dr Charles & his staff are very caring, patient, & extremely professional with a warm welcoming beautiful atmosphere at all 3 of his locations. Sometimes I arrived during their most busiest hours & yet the wait times are short & the staff are still just as compassionate with cheerful demeanors. This means so much to me because I hate using my wheelchair; I don't want to be a burden. Dr Charles staff is just absolutely wonderful. They make special accommodations with his approval for my treatments to be completed with as little transferring as possible; treatments are done sometimes while I'm in my wheelchair. Dr Charles has a special kind of personality LOL sometimes I don't want to hear what he has to say nor recommend :-/ but out of ALL the oral surgeons that I've had over the years, I consider him to be in the category with one other dentist I've known who's extraordinary. Over the years I've suffered lack of calcium due to pregnancies, decay due to dry mouth from pain medications, and loss of teeth due to poor dental work by Dr. K_-_- off Dixie/Belvdr & a horrible bridge that I co-payed around $4000 to a practice formally known as Gental Dental. The extreme pain from it led me to Dr Charles. Well, I have confidence that Dr Charles is addressing my dental issues & correcting the problems, & also unfinished work a dentist gave up on because she was unable too properly numb my mouth to do fillings; one of the teeth looked fine, never ached, but she started with the drill & then gave up! Needless to say, I NEVER went back for the other 3 filings Dentists make me very nervous because there're so many unethical, unqualified, & overpriced well known practices across the board that should be exposed. Dental work has become exploiting under many practices. OSHA should orchestrate medical & surgical evaluations that also entails auditing explicitly. I know I'd be awarded via medical class action settlements should OSHA ever expose those practices. I'm not here too discredit anyone's review; I just want to share my incredibly compassionate experiences with a thorough surgeon whom I've come to highly respect. Also, there's the sweet bowlegged cowgirl is what I call her and the darling receptionists, professional and knowledgeable assistants with priceless demeanor & ofcourse congenial Ashley, the diligent lovely Leanna, and my buddy hospitable Mike Pino. I tell ya something, Mike will cause you too forget where you are & the nervousness just disappears In dentistry there will always be conflicting alternatives with some, but the broader reviews ultimately admire Dr Charles and his incredible staff. Dr Charles thorough examination inclined educational lecturing in hopes of restoring my beautiful smile so I doubt have to hide my teeth. So be prepared but he does it with compassion & concern. His treatment plan is for what's best for me & not what I think it should be because I just wanted just about every tooth pulled and get the dentures and fixodent..... I'm so serious! Well Dr Charles was appalled & want having it After all.... we're the ones with the oral issues looking for the best results inexpensively. Well, you get what you pay for....my teeth are testimonials too this fact; although on some I paid on a higher scale. Dr Charles surprisingly is very reasonable considering his skills & to what I relate as promanate practice. He's willing to work with me assisting in any way possible and his staff keeps me apprised to my insurance & helps me to plan my care more wisely. My mouth is jacked! It's just as much my fault for not reviewing before selecting a more legitimately qualified dentist. Dr Charles passion for healthy teeth (patients)validates his treatment plan. Dr Charles told me that I would need to have a molar extracted. I was charged full price up front and than they billed my insurance companies. They received payment from both and was listed as in network for both. I went to a different Oral dentist for a second opinion and was told there was nothing wrong with my molar. After my insurance paid I requested a refund from Dr Charles for my up front payment and first was told that I would only get the amount that one of my insurances paid. When I questioned the legality of an in network doctor not honoring their in network agreement with my insurance company they tried to tell me they were not in network and insisted BCBS send them a signed agreement proving they were truely in network. I still have not received even a partial refund. read more

Had to have two teeth extracted today and I am super nervous about dentist but when I met Dr. Charles I was instantly relieved. This guy has a Calming tone in his voice he talks to you very calmly explains everything that he is going to do Very thoroughly and just puts you at ease. While doing the procedure the same calming tone continued and was over so fast and painless,he does try and sing while working which is he's not that good at (LOL). Dr Charles and his staff were nothing but professional. They demonstrated the utmost concern with my comfort level and Dr Charles and his most capable assistant had absolute willingness to make sure that I was comfortable (even asking me what type of music I wished to listen to through out the entire operation)and pain free during the entire procedure. I had a double implant procedure performed at the same appointment. The office staff followed up tenaciously to make sure my meds were dispensed and taken with regularity to ensure a pain free and proper post op healing experience. They appear to be friendly but watch your insurance claims, billing and the sanitary conditions in the office. They filed things on my claim that were not done and have been creatively trying to avoid correcting it with my dental insurance. They do not provide any sanitary protection during dental work, they made me swallow the spit and blood in my mouth when my tooth was pulled. I refused to go back to them for follow up due to the unsanitary conditions in the office. read more

I had my tooth pulled in this office. I feel the Dr was pressing me to go under anesthesia for the procedure which would have cost $ me triple. . . as it turned out it took the doctor two seconds to pull the tooth. I felt like it was all about charging me the most that he could. After the procedure the doctor just walked out and I had to ask the nurse to find him to ask a few question. Slam bam thank you ma'am was the feeling I got. No patient concern. I can bill you now I'm done with you. read more
