After inquiring with numerous cleaning businesses on Yelp, I noticed how responsive and professional Henry, from Maria's Cleaning, was and quickly received a quote from them of $280 for a whole house deep cleaning. For reference, the house is roughly 1,000 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Fast forward to the day of the house cleaning, Gala, our cleaner, was scheduled to arrive at 1:30PM. However, 1:30 came and went but no one showed up. We waited 5-10 minutes before I reached out and asked if anything was wrong. In fairness, Henry responded quickly and said there was an "unforeseen delay" and that she would be over in 5-10 minutes. Well, 10 minutes passed and still no one. Gala didn't arrive until shortly after 2:30PM, almost an hour after the scheduled time. Gala arrived and we helped her with her many cleaning supplies/equipment into the house, and she got right to work. She started with the bedrooms, and worked her way towards the front of the house. One slight problem was that Gala doesn't speak the best English and when my Mom asked her to focus on certain parts of the house, we weren't quite sure she understood us. However, she forged through and methodically went through the house. Gala probably didn't finish until close to 10PM, however, after she left we noticed a lot of missed areas, dusty corners/ceilings/walls, and some areas completely untouched. Honestly, we were surprised only one cleaner was sent as it felt more like a 2+ person job and as Maria's Cleaning wasn't the cheapest quote I received, I did have higher expectations for their services with a fee close to $300. Sadly, we were disappointed with the tardiness and overall with their cleaning services.

She brought someone over, the guy was not wearing any work clothes with no sign of any business, he did not introduce himself or provide any info on being a licensed plumber or even a plumber for that matter. He took a look at the faucet and said , "it's not her fault, the faucet was installed incorrectly". I mentioned that faucet has been working fine for 1 year and I haven't used it since they cleaned. So something must have happed when they used it. He said "no, it can't happen", and said he is not siding with her, he is being independent. He was clearly biased and probably not even a plumber. Anna basically brought someone over to make herself in the clear. When we asked for license information , she said you need to be responsible and ask for the information beforehand. Anna said she is not responsible for any damage and have a good evening. We are looking for a house cleaning service for long term and wanted to see how she handles the situation and she did terrible with her attitude and trickery by bringing a biased person and denying any damage. She said the faucet was fine when she left while the person she brought said it was installed incorrectly and was already faulty. Both don't make any sense. I talked to my contractor who installed the faucet and he assured the faucet was installed correctly and said floor mounted faucets need to be handled gently as they have greater leverage to break off the base. My neighbor was interested in hiring Anna for long term biweekly cleaning but I wanted to see how this incident turns before telling Anna to give my neighbor an estimate. After this incident and how Anna shot herself in the foot we let Anna go and my neighbor is not interested in getting any services from her. Anna might have thought she played smart, but this is a terrible way to run a business which depends on clients.
