I was very concerned about returning my lease in today's market. I talked to Stephen about a car I had in mind and he explained to me that the payments would be very high. He then suggested a car with less features than I previously had and about an $80 a month increase AND $3,000 down. I have been leasing Nissan's for the past 15 years and never put money down. Last April, I was looking for a used car on Craigslist. Pretty quickly I realized that I didn't have enough expertise to tell a good car from a bad car, a private car vs a dealer car, a city car vs out of state car, didn't have time to travel to see the cars being sold, didn't have patience for the negotiations or the ability to get the best deal for the money. As a result, I reached out to Solus Car. I met Stephen, owner of Solus Car, in person for an initial consultation, we decided on the budget, make of the model he would search and other details. After that I set back and he did all the work, seeking out the cars, reaching out to sellers, test driving the cars and negotiating potential deals. However, he kept me up to date on all of his findings, seeking my opinion. He never pressured me into a deal and saved me from some bad choices I probably would have made without his advice. He must have screened more than 20 potential cars before we settled on the one.
