After eating pub food for days, this place was a great treat! All-you-can-eat buffet, hospitable staff (they let us in before they closed and cooked more food for my nieces and nephew), and spacious layout. So this was my first Filipino cuisine experience. Being a total novice, I took one of the more exotic sounding dishes, called Laing, which was edo leaves (bit like leaf spinach it turns out) with hot chili mixed sea food in coconut milk. And it was ... nice. Not overwhelmingly fantastic, but different and tasty. The man who served me did not speak English very well, which did not stop him from being very friendly, explaining the different dishes and even allowing me to try some of the other items that were sitting on the buffet hot plates - which were just as interesting as the main course (I mean the 'good' interesting here); among others I had pork in black pudding sauce and Filipino spring rolls. I should also mention that he did not charge me for these de facto starters, which I thought was very nice of him. Sadly, the place was very empty to start with - I was the only guest - so it had pretty much zero atmosphere and made me feel slightly awkward (ok, it was a four o'clock on a Thursday). Luckily, some other guests came in later. These all seemed to be Filipino themselves, which one could take as a sign of authentic cooking. The decor unfortunately is nothing outstanding, either, and the acoustic landscape basically consisted of Filipino TV in the background and the guys in the place talking Filipino to each other (which was strangely interesting and made me feel like I was somewhere on the Philippines, but certainly not in Dublin). Main courses range between twelve and sixteen Euros. The overall bill for my main course, a large chamomile tea and the little buffet selection came to 14.50€, which I believe is a fair price. They also do lunch and evening buffets for 11€ (lunch until 18:00) and 12€ (until 20:00) respectively, including a soft drink. If you ever feel like trying to cook Filipino yourself, they have a sister supermarket called BAYANIHAN a few doors down, where you should get all the necessary ingredients. If you've tried the myriad Korean grills and Chinese restaurants in Capel Street and feel like something different, you could do worse than stopping by here for a taste of Manila. read more

I was trying to communicate via call and messenger messages for inquiry about making a reservation. We are a Filipino tourist group of 33 people from Washington, DC/NYC and the website's pictures lacking in detail in regards to approximate capacity for seating. However the number listed on the website, Google, and Facebook, and Yelp is the same number that has been indicated to be disconnected. Mind you that is FOUR public networks. I'm sincerely disappointed and genuinely unsatisfied for the incorrect information provided and can only assume that this restaurant is no longer an establishment or even in business anymore. BUT, if you are still in business and have not updated your business information on any of the involved networks, then take care of it, because you just lost good business. I do wish we had the opportunity to taste, the good reviews made the food sound enticing. Oh well our loss and yours as well. INGAT read more

I was surprised to find Filipino food in Ireland but it was relieving to find. The service was great and food was like being at home. I know I traveled to Ireland from the states and it's silly to some that I would eat Filipino food but I hope the locals give this place a try too. This is probably my favourite Filipino restaurant in Dublin. The food is served as a buffet with plenty of variety. There was fish, chicken and (Irish produced) beef on offer with plenty of spring rolls and rice to go on the side. All food is authentic Filipino recipes and is set in a well kept and cosy environment with efficient service staffed by Pinays. Patrons are made welcome and won't be rushed out the door to free the table for the next group. Well worth visiting. read more

If you are looking for good authentic filipino food in Dublin, look no further than Makati Avenue. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a small bar at the back that looks to be used only for special events. They serve a buffet until 8pm that includes one non-alcoholic beverage. Prices for the buffet are €11 until 6pm, €12 until 8pm. But if buffet isn't your thing they have an extensive a la carte menu served all day. After 8pm you can only get the a la carte menu. They also serve San Miguel beer! The owners also have a small market about a block away with many filipino grocery items. read more

Serves food that has gone bad and past it's expiration date. Their kare-Kare is topped with cold steamed eggplant that is probably cooked in a big batch, then put on top of the Kare-kare being served. The cook has just given up and doesn't bother to taste let alone smell what he serves. The buko pandan has gone bad, I told them it's gone bad, then the server adds "newly made" buko pandan and dumps it on the batch that's gone bad. They serve rice that was cooked the previous day, then reheated. It's yellow, cold, crusty, crumbles, and soggy all once. If you can't even be bothered to cook a fresh batch of rice for a Filipino restaurant, just give up already. The cleanliness of the place screams how they handle their food. The basement where the bathroom is located, is always cold, damp, moldy, and smells like doom. This place is one phone call away to the health department from closing. Wouldn't be shocked if they don't last the year. read more

Delicious filipino food in Dublin! Kids had been craving rice and good filipino food and this place hit the spot. We ate there when we arrived and again on our last night in Dublin. All you can eat buffet style. The only reason why I didn't give the 5th star was because they close so early. They close by 6 even though yelp says 7. Super friendly service and on our last night there the food was almost out but they made new lumpia, bistek, and fried chicken just for us!! When in Dublin definitely going back!!! read more

Terrible customer service from lady owner!!!! Cant seem to cope under pressure of the busy day. We came in as a group with kids today and from the beginning we were told quite rudely (not asked!) That we will not be sitting together. We agreed that kids can sit separately from us. We were disappointed to see that the kids were going to be sitting in a table which looked like it was just put there due to the busy day so we asked for them to be moved to a slightly bigger table as the 5 kids were literally overlapping with each other. We completely understand that they were busy but the manner that we were talked to was appalling! We were told that they are 'running a business' and that the kids are only going to get charged €3 anyway ( they have a discounted rate on certain times of the month) She only agreed to move the kids when we said that we will pay adult price for them. She raised her voice which really agitated us and caused us to just leave! We have never been treated like this anywhere and it wasnt even as if the tables were reserved for anyone else! It felt like the kids were treated differently and not as important due to the discounted rate. She even told us that there will be customers who will be coming who will be happy to sit on that table.there was more concern for potential customers than those who are already there.
