He stated some are better than the others for durability like Nucore & Durolux and still need to see the different ones that are offered . The one I was choosing was less expensive and happened to match better but when I tried the sample at home it did scratch easily with a flathead(I did as an experiment) as he had previously mentioned. He said not to drag furniture or anything that may scratch it. He said I needed a blue bottom cover for the floor underneath but u are if I actually need it . I decided to head back the next day and exchange the one I had with the one that was more durable to last longer since it would not be warrantied if any scratches were to occur. I also purchased a tool to install it if needed . I wanted to purchase and match a marble piece that I already have in the area going into the other rooms. He took me to the area and we picked a piece out. Additionally, I had the transition piece to match. He loaded the car for me. When I returned the next day it was busier. Another guy assisted me but was told to go to another customer and someone else helped me. He took the ones I purchased out of the car but there was a bit of a delay at the registers when I returned because customers were also returning and purchasing. I will more than likely have someone install it even though I do like to learn DIY .

The advertising outside the store says Kitchens & Baths. They've been around for 40 years. I get it, the business model may have changed. Luckily for me they were having a floor sample sale so I purchased a LED Mirror and a vanity. Unable to get it the same day, I was told to pick up two days later. When we arrived for pickup all was boxed and ready to go. When the vendor came over and unboxed both (on camera), the mirror was chipped in the bottom corner. I took it back to the store, receipt in hand to exchange (another of the same was still on the floor). I was told that I would not be granted an exchange and my only option was to purchase the same mirror at full price (not half off like the other). With that being a poor economic option, I requested a refund and was also told that was not an option. However, as a favor, I could get store credit (there was no comparable LED mirrors in that price point). I asked to speak to Manager/owner but was told that is the best offer. I am in the service industry and truly believe they could have simply sold me the same mirror off the floor (which was now a floor model). They had no way of proving to me that they did not break it. Now I am left with almost $400 that cannot be used at another location (I was told), and why would I want to do business with such a company after this ordeal? I would have given no stars, the two stars are for the vanity - she is a beauty!

On October 1st I went to the store and selected my slab. I then notified Nelson about my selection. Now the amazing part. Just 72 hours later Nelson contacted me and asked if they could do the install. I am sure my situation was somewhat rare and the stars aligned but I was truly astonished. I wanted to like this store and the owner. But what was delivered was unsatisfactory, especially…read morefor the price. You can't really inspect the vanity if you live in an apartment because they will not remove the covering before it is brought up to the apartment and installed. Upon removing the cardboard packaging, and shrink-wrap, I found a nick on the quartz top, a cut (more like a "gash") on the left side of the vanity, and drawers that don't align or close to be level with the rest of the body. The last items especially cannot be known until the entire vanity is fully installed. The owner offered to replace it with another vanity. There are several problems with that -- one is removing the installation, which would include undoing the plumbing, and finding a way to bring it downstairs again, when bringing it upstairs was difficult enough. And the probability that these problems with the drawers not aligning will likely exist with the new vanity, since it has to do with sloppy construction and bad design. It's not likely that the piece that I have is the only one with these issues. Curiously, the handyman who installed the vanity showed me that there were holes drilled on the back of the vanity, as if someone had planned on attaching a mirror. That means that the vanity is either returned to the store or "manufacturer" or it's a second hand piece. As for the gash -- that is the most offensive flaw. I suppose I'll have to repair it with wood filler and live with it. What I have asked was that I be given a discount for these flaws. I hope the owner will change his mind and agree to do so.

Today, we followed our hunch and went into the shopping center where the old Penn Dutch market used to be. Aha! We found the store north of the old market and south of Donna's Caribbean restaurant. They sell used and new furniture and an assortment of other items including $2 jewelry and housewares. The jewelry didn't call to me but in the back I found a few items that took me back to my childhood. The had a Light Brite (a more modern version than the one I owned) and a Simon. I was interested in them but they were marked more than what I wanted to pay. The lite brite was $14 and the Simon was $10. After some back and forth haggling with Shelia I was able to take both for $8. They are now delighting a new generation of kids at summer camp. I didn't know if they worked when I purchased them but I am happy to report that they are both functioning. Another item I was interested in was a puzzle but it was marked $10. I recently picked up puzzles for the kids for $2 at other thrift stores so I passed. I think their prices are high but if there is something you want, present your offer. They seem willing to work with you.
