I was told this place is pretty reasonable with a big selection of items . Searching for laminate for my foyer, Paul assisted me and was pretty knowledgeable and explained the differences and what would be best depending on what I was searching for and what area I was installing it in. He stated some are better than the others for durability like Nucore & Durolux and still need to see the different ones that are offered . The one I was choosing was less expensive and happened to match better but when I tried the sample at home it did scratch easily with a flathead(I did as an experiment) as he had previously mentioned. He said not to drag furniture or anything that may scratch it. He said I needed a blue bottom cover for the floor underneath but u are if I actually need it . I decided to head back the next day and exchange the one I had with the one that was more durable to last longer since it would not be warrantied if any scratches were to occur. I also purchased a tool to install it if needed . I wanted to purchase and match a marble piece that I already have in the area going into the other rooms. He took me to the area and we picked a piece out. Additionally, I had the transition piece to match. He loaded the car for me. When I returned the next day it was busier. Another guy assisted me but was told to go to another customer and someone else helped me. He took the ones I purchased out of the car but there was a bit of a delay at the registers when I returned because customers were also returning and purchasing. This place is huge and it's so overwhelming my son was in town and he's redoing his kitchen & bathroom month in New York so we came here to get some ideas on flooring and backsplash kitchen ideas, etc. We walked around for a while and then finally found a sales person. This was nice. We had a couple of questions about different types of tile. High polish vs Matte. He answered our questions but then at the end said he wasn't 100% sure so we asked another person who gave us a completely different answer. Beware before you buy flooring at Floor & Decor. we had a very horrible experience with their warranty. We purchased 1800 sq ft of flooring that was defective. Their inspection said it was the installers fault. we had two other independent inspectors who said it was the products fault. the entire floor ( vinyl tile) is buckling and cupping and Floor & Decor deny any responsibility. They turned their backs on us. we now have to replace the entire floor. read more

I just came into the store needing a reducer for my laminate flooring that I bought at Costco but I FORGOT the "sample" (piece of the flooring being installed) to match the color. Floor, decor and more had this stressed out mom's back by looking up my purchase history to find where I bought a reducer months ago when we were flooring another area of my home. They saved me a trip. Not only did the Pro Desk help me by finding the color in my purchase history but the woman (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name) called ppl working in the section to help me find and match the color once I walked over to that section of the store. This is where Shawnee helped me make sure it was a perfect match but she even found a damaged roll of underlayment she could adjust the price on bc I only need 8 more ft but the smallest size you can buy is 100 SQ ft. Anderson help load up the one box of laminate that I needed, the underlayment and reducer and not only brought it up to the front but brought it out to my car. I recently had abdominal surgery and can't lift things and I HATE asking for help bc my nature is to always do for myself. It was so nice I didn't have to ask or tell them about my compromised state in order to get the help, they did it bc they are good ppl that are great at their job providing great customer service. Angie was the cheerful cashier that rang me up. I paid, was loaded up and on my way in less than 15 min. I told them I felt like a princess. Ppl ALWAYS have no problem criticizing when they feel they get bad customer service but rarely "catch ppl doing something RIGHT" I wanted to give a shout out to the good ppl and FD&M. Closing on my new property this week so decided to start getting the materials for new flooring, remodel bathrooms etc. I met the contractor here and the selections are enormous but the quality in product is just ok. The staff was helpful and there is so much material to choose from but I would only recommend getting back splash and real wood flooring. Went to the store and ordered a few different tiles. Received a call that it was ready but we noticed the associate ordered the wrong one. After re-ordering the correct item we received an email and went to pick up our order and they could not find eight boxes of the tile. Waited over 30 mins while they tried to find it . Finally they rescheduled the pick up for another day. Received another email that the order was ready. Went to pick it up and again said they did not have it. Waited 15 mins and they said they had it. Waited another 30 mins for them to bring it out and it was the wrong stuff. Finally just got a refund. Forget the large stores. Time to go local where you get experts that actually know that they are doing and care about customer service. Now drove all the way to Boyton because we called and said they had it. Got there and they tried to give us two boxes and several loose tiles that were broken. Of course didn't have any other to replace it with. We went many times to purchase items, but 3 years ago we had a challenge with an employee who didn't have the same work ethic as Nick did/does to get some vinyl plank flooring (I put a review on here 3 years ago about this) and once again Nick was so helpful (I remembered him immediately when we saw him in the same area from 3 years ago).., he's still the same helpful employee, he took the time to open up a few boxes and take it to the doorway to see what matches of the scrap flooring that we saved from a prior home project, what we found out while there is that the same flooring we needed again is now a "discontinued manufactured" item..we've spent well over THOUSANDS of dollars at this location and was so happy that we were able to get a very close match and I truly hope that the company (Floor & Decor management team, supervisor, or whomever) reads this (not respond to me with a generic/automated response), but respond to this compliment to Nick for he is truly a good asset there. read more

One of the places we got recommended the most when we bought our home was home and decor. This place is huge and carries a while variety of flooring material. We came in and picked a beautiful big tile for our home, paid in full, but unfortunately our order got so delayed that we ultimately had to cancel it. We ended up going to Hialeah and found something similar. We had no problem getting our money back. It was more inconvenient than problematic. Later down the line we did buy stone for our bathroom wall and it is breathtaking. A little expensive, but cheaper than everywhere else. One thing I find it that so many choices can be overwhelming. They do have a design team, who sits with you and build a design for you based on your taste. We didn't use them. Service is your typical warehouse service, little to none. Plus it has every type of flooring you can think of -- vinyl, laminate, hardwood, porcelain, ceramic tile, etc. We were allowed to wander around without being immediately cornered by a salesperson. This was nice as it's the first place we have looked at and just wanted to start to get an idea of types of laminate and costs. We saw a number of types of laminate -- including water proof, water resistant, along with bamboo flooring. And then there are under layers that sound proof the laminate, too. There was some vinyl on sale that looked like wood that was quite inexpensive that would work in one of our closets But frankly, we were overwhelmed. So many possibilities. Now that we have a start, we can begin to narrow down our choices -- by type, price, and colors. Time to measure to get exact sizes so we can really judge and price compare. read more

I'm generally defensive when it comes to contractors and contractor supplies. I'm sure that I'm about to get played before we even start talking business. My realtor recommended Floor & Decor though. It was big, bright and had an organized feeling. At least 2 or 3 people looked to me as I walked in. They said hi and gave me a look like they were ready to answer any questions. I found my aisle easily. I was shopping for porcelain tile. There was a good assortment. It wasn't just flip books with samples. They had everything in stock right behind each display mock up. The price was emblazoned in large numbers right above each set up. Even more helpful is each tile set up came with a suggested grout color too. It made things far easier. In fact everything looked so nice I was a little stuck in what to get. A gal came over and helped me think it through actually. It was her department and she knew her tile concepts. I have been back a few times for a few reasons. Today was to find a contractor(they hooked me up with a guy who is pretty good). Each time has been great. I don't know what to say as I am so frustrated with the poor service I have received from Floor and Decor.  When I went to the store on 10/12 at about 6PM to pick up my floor and was told that the item was out of stock.  Yet I continue to receive emails implying that "I" did not pick up the item and that the item is in the store waiting for me.  Add insult to injury, I was told that they would make arrangements to get the floors from another store and deliver them to me by 10/13, which I thought to myself, that this was a reasonable solution.  However, yet again, today 10/13 I did not receive my floors.  And worse, everytime I attempted to call the store, the line hung up after 4 rings, I tried a variety of different phone prompt selections and they all hung up.  I have the call log to prove this.   I have a scheduled installation on 10/15 and as I am in limbo.  Floor and Decor took my money and have yet to deliver the product and provide me with a reasonable solution.  This is a lack of respect to the customer and goes without saying awful customer service and deceitful business practices.  As large as this company is, the customer experience is atrocious.  At this point, I don't know what to do with my "GHOST" order,  Floor and DecorI I has left me in an extremely uncomfortable position due to the disruption this has caused in my life.  I am beyond angry and frustrated.   This company does not deserve any stars! read more

The designer I worked with at the Pompano Beach store was very helpful and creative. They were able to hold on to the tile until my contractor could pick it up. The trouble came when I tried to order additional tile. THEY DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE! I called seven times and every menu option just rang and rang without an answer or forwarded to the loading dock. They finally told me that to order one more box of tile I would have to visit the store in person because even though they had processed my order, they couldn't take an order over the phone.
