We began the process late last summer and interviewed and received estimates from 5 different kitchen and bath companies and design centers. I read so many horror stories about contractors, design centers, and cabinet makers with poor responsiveness, shoddy or incomplete work that I was very nervous about committing to anyone. We took our time researching as best we could and Majestic Kitchen and Baths impressed us far and above the others and we decided to go forward with them. We first met with Joe who was instrumental in helping us develop our design and plan. He had many ideas which were thought provoking and many ideas were included in our kitchen design. He was definitely working for us and was willing to do everything that we wanted and not telling us what we needed to do or should do, he merely offered many design opinions which we wouldn't have otherwise considered. Once we settled on the design and estimate we green lit the project and paid our deposit. We were warned that manufacturing would take several months and that the project would need to wait for the cabinet maker but when we signed the contract we were given a date to start work and we completely understood the time it would take before work began. We actually didn't hear from MKB for several months and as our work start date approached my skepticism that everything would go on time was increasing. However, the week prior we spoke with MKB and construction (actually tear out of the old kitchen) began as stated in the contract and MKB worked everyday. Carlos oversaw our kitchen construction and we definitely felt like we were a priority for them. We had open communication and always understood what to expect before the day began. As we reached decision points during the construction process or had questions about what was happening- Carlos (or his second- Maria) was always available and always ensured our desires were incorporated in the days work. Crews cleaned up after themselves daily. They were prompt and courteous and had a genuine desire to do good work. When we came upon a decision point or a change order as the kitchen developed, it was never any issue for Majestic. It was always- whatever you would like we will make it happen. If we had an issue- they were ready to answer our questions. If we didn't understand a process, they took the time to explain it to us. We never felt like we were not a valued client. Our wishes and desires for our kitchen were their priority. MKB were certainly not the least expensive (and not even the most expensive) but the quality of their cabinets, their attention to detail, and their willingness to go the extra mile to ensure we had the kitchen exactly as we envisioned, made them the best value for the money spent and I am certain, no one else we spoke to would have delivered the way MKB did. We would recommend them for your project as well. As a matter of fact we are bring them back for our guest and master bathroom projects in the fall.

Or of you need something corrected it never gets passed down to the team actually doing the work. Warranty? What's that? They never followed through with anything covered under warranty. Warranty follow up was blamed on the cabinet maker and not covered by their warranty. But all of the items covered by "their" warranty was not covered or completed to the best of their of ability. On October 1st I went to the store and selected my slab. I then notified Nelson about my selection. Now the amazing part. Just 72 hours later Nelson contacted me and asked if they could do the install. I am sure my situation was somewhat rare and the stars aligned but I was truly astonished. From the very moment we walked into the showroom until the last detail was completed we had a fantastic experience. After visiting several other places, not one of them suggested the design and layout that our designer Rob Feinberg at Allied did. They completely transformed the flow of our entire house by adding a large central island as a gathering place, work space and storage area. They suggested wall ovens to save space as well as adding a bar to use for mixing drinks and serving adjacent to the island. It is so stylish and we have had so many compliments on the design, material and style we were guided to. They had many choices of cabinets at many different price points, styles and colors, and we were shown and directed to what would look best and provide the greatest value. They take your money and disappear. One guy wouldn't put anything in writing. He didn't even have a business card. Another "company" gave me a low quote but didn't want to get building permits. He asked me to be vague about the project with my condo management. All red flags. A neighbor suggested Allied. They did great work for him and kept the mess to a minimum by protecting his carpet and hardwood floors. I met with Lewis, a designer at Allied and we discussed options for my bathroom. I had a strict budget and I found Lewis willing to work within it. He came up with great ideas. Allied does things the right way. Designer drawings are done. An architect creates blueprints that breeze through the city permitting process. In a few weeks the project began. Trevor did a wonderful job installing a Schluter Shower System, a product that guarantees no leaks for life! Mark and Angelo were fantastic at setting the fixtures and rough carpentry and keeping dust to a minimum. Adam was my project manager who was available by cell if I had ANY concerns. Chris and Liz were awesome at helping me select tiles and finishes. Everybody was helpful and professional!! I never enjoyed a construction project so much. I found Allied to be top notch. I think we ended up checking them out because they were open on a Sunday and we were pleasantly surprised! There was a nice variety of product and the service was excellent. I don't remember the name of our salesperson, only that I was amazed that he was still in high school but so poised and knowledgeable about countertops! We decided on a quartzite slab for our kitchen and got a very reasonable price. Half Price Countertops cuts, fabricates, and installs the slab. We had to wait for our cabinets to be installed first, but as soon as they were done we called, and Half Price Countertops was immediately ready to start the installation process. They did a beautiful job and the kitchen counters look amazing! We did have one small glitch where our dishwasher did not fit after installation. We called the company and spoke to the owner. He said he wanted to make sure we were completely happy and within a couple of days someone was there to fix the issue. We are extremely happy with our kitchen countertop and I would highly recommend this company: Great product, service, and value!
