For those of you reading this - let me be clear - this is not a miraculous place where all aches and pains are immediately resolved and you lose inches! You have to fully understand what happens to your body when you do cryotherapy and any red light therapy along with compression, stretching, etc. Thats for another post and your personal research, but here is my experience. I am a health conscience person that works out enough to keep my old bones moving and I pay attention to aging process by eating healthy, taking supplements, etc. My dr had always said that combo of Cryo and Red light therapy with compression would help my inflammation issues, but I didnt dig the whole steel tube locked in kinda thing. Here's what I love about Restore: their Cryo is like a walk in freezer! Perfect for those that hate small spaces. LOVE! With a combo of compression, Cryo, and Photo Bio Modulation (PBM)/ or Infared Sauna I have seen a half inch decrease in my ankles and a quarter inch in my wrists. I have also felt a lot better when working out, meaning, its not a chore to do those 12 burpees and there's a bit more bounce in my step when working out. Also- that sluggish AZ summer feeling is gone and Ive got more energy to take on the day. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the staff. Amazing people. I would call out individuals but I cant say that anyone that works there isn't exceptional. They are accommodating to your needs, inquiries, and yes your fifty million questions that you have. I'm 50 so I've got that old lady need to know thing :) So to summarize - if you are into wellness and self care and have an open mind to trying something new (or not new to you) I would definitely check this out. Then did the infra-red sauna followed by the ice bath hot tub back to the ice back and finished in the hot tub. I have dealt with chronic pain for over 23 years. This therapy has been the best thing I have have ever tried. I also did an add-on. I forget the name of it but it has the Tesla coil in the room and I was told it helps ground you. I am not sure how much beneficial that was. However it was a great time meditate . I highly recommend this place. It is welcoming and inviting. I can tell you having this done before that hours of sitting at a desk my back needed some much-needed relief. Also my shoulders were stressed from the same reason everybody else's felt stressed the pandemic and only now being able to go out into public. The person checking us in was polite Her name was Angel You fill out paperwork that if any bad things happen to you they are not liable in any way whatsoever. Pretty much common fair when it comes to paperwork and gyms. You are asked to change into a robe and then you come out and you are sized to what platform you can stand on so you're not submerged in the liquid nitrogen being vaporized around you. I can tell you the area was completely clean pleasantly smelling. Now the cooling process you will feel a tingling throughout your body and I mean everywhere and you are rotating every 15 seconds so that not one spot gets too cold. Each session is 3 minutes long and then you're out I can tell you that I feel absolutely invigorated and relaxed. I bet when the temperature hits to be 122° this year this will be a welcome the slice of heaven to just cool down. Apparently, I've got a slipped disc pressing on my root nerve--aka the source of all my current misery. Surgery's not really on the table, so I'm doing my best to heal the natural way (with a side of physical therapy). At this point, even tying my shoes feels like an Olympic event, so I'm willing to try anything that might help. I signed up for a month since it's $99 and unlimited...total no-brainer. I've done the sauna, which is amazing and private. There's even a TV in the room, so you can watch your favorite show, listen to their zen music, or (like me) blast your playlist and reflect on this next chapter in life. I also tried cryotherapy, which feels incredible and hits -100 degrees--basically the perfect follow-up to the sauna. And then there's the vibrating plate surrounded by infrared lights... that one was fun, but I couldn't stop giggling the whole time. Don't ask me why...it's just one of those things.. LOL. The service here is top-notch, and everyone is so friendly and helpful. I actually have a sauna place just five minutes from home, but I still drive 25 minutes to come here--because when you find the spot, you stay loyal. Usually, I dread doing PT for an injury, but since coming to Move, I look forward to my sessions. Cryo and physical training are also offered here so there is a variety of services that anyone can make use of. Kaine, Dan and Chad have all helped train me as well as some student PTs, and they always make you feel like it's one on one, even if they are busy. You can really feel that Move is a family owned business and it feels like you're family when you're there. Overall, I have no complaints about Move. Unless you experience a serious injury or some kind of strain, you can't appreciate how amazing it is to find a PT gym that cares about and loves what they do.
