    Crab Benedict
    Victoria G.

Crab Cake Benedict I was very pleased and impressed with this fine establishment. The Eggs Benedict over spicy crabcakes were amazing and their mimosas were excellent as well. The weight staff was attentive and friendly, and if you have the chance to visit, you must not leave without going to the pastry counter, where they have all kinds of wonderful, sweet treats, but the macarons that they make in house are the absolute best I've had. And to make the experience even more enjoyable, the ambience in Maison Stivalet is absolutely delightful.

Really an experience worth experiencing! The omelette which my husband and I shared was so delicious. We ordered it with red onions, mushrooms, bacon, bell peppers, and mozzarella cheese and it may have been the best omelette I have ever had. The Americano was refreshing too that we proceeded to order another. This place needs more great reviews because the place is always clean, presentable, has friendly staff, and did I forget to mention the delicious abundance in pastry selection? That selection requires another review in itself. We got the almond croissant and the matcha brownie is excellent too.

Salmon Bagel, fruit, large latte French vanilla

The food was tasty. The French vanilla latte was just okay. I'd skip it next time. But the salmon and bagel was tasty. The service was great as well. Suggestion: add tables to accommodate a variety of parties. There were either tables for 10 or 2 from what I saw. And the tables for 2 were too tiny to eat comfortably... Three stars because I bumped into a friend who said he had reservations at 11 AM for three and was sitting in the front sofa for over an hour. I gently asked our waitress when we were paying at around 12 if my friend and his party could take that table since they had arrived on time and had reservations but was coldly told no. Due to this incident, I will be wary next time I try this place out. It seems they don't take reservations seriously and I always make reservation because I cannot stand a wait. It was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised until I saw my friend and heard he had been waiting over an hour WITH a reservation. That's UNACCEPTABLE.

One of my favorite meals is Crab Cake Benedict and this place did it right! The atmosphere is so cute! It gives me Breakfast at Tiffany vibes and the coffee and small touches gives it more of a boutique feel than an industrialized one which is all too common these days. The servers were very kind and friendly. The food did take a little longer than I would expect however I take in to account that it was made with love and I went during a busy Sunday morning. Don't forget to grab some delicious baked goods like the Almond Croissant on your way out! 10/10 recommend!

Highly recommend! A great brunch place with amazing food and atmosphere! Waiter was super nice and helpful with the menu!

First time: I got the jalapeño dip, which was unique but way too spicy for my taste, couldn't even finish it. My daughter got the kids fried chicken strips, chicken was hard. Got the chicken piccata pasta and that was really good. But nothing out of this world. Their coffee was really good, chocolate milk was okay. Their tap water is nasty. Second time: I was able to try the chicken and waffle, chicken I got the sweet pecan and was good, waffle too and not crispy, nothing out of this world. I had higher expectations. Also, food is very pricey for what it is. The hype is there, its a nice place but the food isn't that great. Wouldn't really recommend it. Its a good place to go try it out once or twice and that's it. Or maybe for those who like to drink alcoholic beverages with their brunch. Which I don't.

    Box of 5 macaroons

This review is only based on the Macaroons. I wanted to love them because of all unique flavors they have. Mole? Tamarind ! Chipotle wow very unique but fell very short in taste in my opinion. If you have never tried macaroons you might like them but in all honesty they are just sugar no flavor whatsoever. I do not like to compare to other macaroons as each place is different but I have been around the block in the macaroon department. From trying many in France to various places across the World and the United States , I can honestly recommend to save your 15 dlls plus tax on a box of 5 Macaroons from here and go elsewhere. Never have I left a box full and I had to pass on them as they were not tasty. Also they are quite big and break not very enjoyable. I recommend CC's Sweets and Treats here in Mcallen amazing and Bakery Loraine but that's in San Antonio Tx worth the trip! I only took the macaroons to go and I can honestly say this place is 5 star on the decor very chic and swanky! Nothing like this in the valley very LA NYC trendy luxurious place. Seems they offer alcohol and other things would definitely go have a drink with girlfriend but would skip the macaroons.

Service was great! The host that attended me was so friendly and had fast service. The place overall was a awesome vibe! Food and drinks were a 10/10 highly recommend!

French toast with bacon and eggs and Huevos rancheros with a side of fresh fruit.

Wow! This place is a hidden gem. I have passed it many of times, and never knew what exactly it was. My husband and I decided to have a late breakfast on a Friday morning. They open at 10 so it was perfect. We sat at this cute table for two with fresh flowers. The waitress right away came and gave us some cucumber water, that was very refreshing. My husband ordered the French toast with an Americano and I ordered the huevos rancheros with a strawberry infused tea. Everything was delicious. I loved the ambiance of this restaurant. It is perfect for a brunch date and they also take reservations for those who like to plan ahead.

Food was over seasoned. The burger was a big disappointment . Pasta was good and the grilled veggies with goat cheese was delicious.

Grind Coffee Company BAD CHOICE! NO STARS! WASTE of MONEY!…read more A horrible disappointment! Never again! I was genuinely excited to try the coffee here. I stated to the young lady at the counter that this was my first time patronizing the business and that I was looking forward their offerings. She looked at the other young lady at counter and rolled her eyes and just smirked. I asked her for some recommendations... their signature coffees, what they're known for, and customer favorites. She rolled her eyes again and with a smirk stated that "these are good" as she pointed to a piece of paper with a list of drinks that she pushed across the counter. She didn't make any recommendations, just read this. Noting her dismissive attitude, I just ordered my plain coffee which took almost 10 minutes. I paid for my coffee and went on to my meeting. I took a sip and realized that was not what I ordered. She did not serve me coffee she served some kind of chai nasty tasting mess with almond milk. I had to throw it out. Needless to say the $7.00 would've been better spent somewhere else. I don't feel valued as a customer at this place. I can't take them seriously, if they can't even be courteous enough to listen to the order, and ensure it was right. Such a shame, it truly was a lost opportunity to be welcoming, and willing to take me from first time customer to loyal customer. Failed at delivering an amazing customer service experience. Well as the saying goes, "You get what you paid for", I sure did! There are better places to get a Great cup of coffee... go there instead. Too bad for the owner that this person is the face of the business and a poor representative of the business. I guess we know now what NOT to expect from grind coffee company.
