Despite the certificate clearly naming these services, the business forced me to pay an additional $20 out-of-pocket because their internal prices had increased since the card was bought. There is absolutely no fine print or disclosure on the certificate stating that prices are subject to change or that the customer is responsible for price differences. A prepaid gift should be fully honored when they sell it as a package on their website. Forcing a customer to pay extra for a prepaid package is a terrible business practice. The massage and facial were just okay. Not exceptional experiences. There were communication issue with the girl who performed my massage. The girl that did my massage asked if I would like them to work on my sculp that day. I was confused if she meant during the massage it facial so I asked. She said "Oh! You have a facial appointment too? Then I'll let her do that during the facial." However, the girl who performed facial did not perform massage on my sculp. I'm not very pleased with the experience and would not go back or recommend to anyone.

He well knows the body in ways that other massage therapists have not tended to in the extents that he did, and he massaged areas I've never had worked on before, which very much needed it. I arranged a deep tissue longer session and I am very glad that I did. My body felt quite broken from a week, driving up the West Coast and a week sleeping on the floor. My soul also felt out of body as it was too painful to be within it. When I left, I felt wholly embodied and healthy again. I had an amazing night sleep and woke up refreshed entirely. The environment was welcoming and soothing with herbal teas and healthy plants and nice calming music. My experience with Mariana was excellent. She was kind, professional, attentive and provided exactly what I had asked for: deep tissue work. I have been to many massages and often it is simply someone putting oil on me and rubbing it around on my skin. My mother is a professional masseuse and I've yet to experience someone up to par with her work. This was. Mariana worked on the areas that were tight and blocking my body and energy without me even going into detail as she sensed and found the knots by feeling. I highly recommend her for deep tissue work and an excellent energy- she was friendly, comforting and the session was both peaceful and fun. It was so impactful that I booked another two hours with her before I left Seattle. She was also accommodating in regard to my visiting schedule and came in early to make it work. I also experienced cupping for the first time. It's intense! Very effective! And amazing as while the cups pinpoint one area the practitioner can also be working on a different part of your body. Overall, I highly recommend dream clinic - and Mariana- and wish they existed in the northeast!

The massage therapist repeatedly yawned throughout the session, which made it hard to relax. The massage itself did not feel attentive or high quality. At checkout, I was asked about joining a membership or booking another massage, but given my experience, I chose not to say anything at the time and instead leave this review. I don't want to single out the therapist, but I do feel the overall experience did not match the price or expectations.

Plus, Tangletown is a cute area and this gave me an excuse to venture into a different area of Seattle. I didn't know anyone else who'd come here, or anything about the stylists - so I just took a leap and scheduled with Paul. I am so happy I did! Paul and I visited a bit so that he could get a feel for what I wanted and what I was comfortable with. He's an experienced stylist, and he had great ideas about what kind of cut would work best for my hair type (fine hair but lots of it, and a bit of wave here and there) as well as my lifestyle (low maintenance). Paul began with a light massage using some delicious smelling essential oils, with another scalp massage while washing my hair. While the conditioning mask sat on my hair, he gave me a hand massage. It was so relaxing, I nearly dozed off. Filling my cut, he dried and styled my hair so that I looked finished coming out of the salon. And my cut was fantastic. As a bonus, Paul is lovely. The salon itself is cozy and inviting. They have some boutique items, like sweaters and jackets, that they sell as well as an array of Aveda products. The whole place smells amazing. And the staff are also very sweet and helpful. A lot of salons are closed on Sundays and Mondays, but this salon is open (another reason I wound up coming here, as those are my "days off"). I loved my experience at Sunbird Massage Therapy…read more I have been treated by Tasha a couple times a while back and she's great so I recently decided to see her again at her new business. My first feeling on entering the office was one of calm serenity. The whole atmosphere in the office was peaceful and soothing, and Tasha's space is a lovely, clean, and soft setting with just the right touch of nature elements that give it a bit of the feeling that you're in a warmer sunnier climate. And I loved the soothing music selection. Tasha's space mirror's her own inner qualities. She has a gentle, patient, and attentive manner that puts you at ease. She is very easy to talk to and yet stays professional and focused on you as the patient. She seems to have it just right in the communication and flow of her work. From finding out what I wanted to focus on at the beginning, to her being responsive to physical or verbal feedback on the massage throughout, and finally to her helpful information in the end. The massage was very detailed and thorough, extending to other parts of my body that are connected to those problem areas. It was also very relaxing, and I learned this time that relaxation is where healing happens, and conversation is limited during the massage for that purpose. One thing that I really appreciate with Tasha is that each time I have seen her, I learn more about my body, the causes for pain, and what will correct it. This time she pointed out my hip posture orientation and recommended stretches and clarified how to sit correctly. At my work the following day I paid attention to my sitting position. Between the massage and me shifting my posture for one day, I noticed a significant reduction in lower back pain. I highly recommend Tasha. She takes excellent care of her patients and doesn't seem to overlook any element of the process: a beautiful experience from beginning to end.
