I got everything I ever asked for here in a jewelry visit: quick, quality, and friendly service…read morethat was cheaper than cheap and serviced w/ a smile. My experience at Lastovica Fine Jewelers was nothing short of exceptional. My Movado watch band clasp would not clip and secure itself, so I haven't been able to wear it for a while now, it looked to be a delicate issue w/ the clasp alignment. I purchased it at Macy's a year ago so I went back there for help, the employee said they would have to ship it to their jeweler in California and I would have to pay the costs. WTF? I'm sorry, but that just didn't sound appealing to me. Lucky she recommended Lastovica Jewelers, and said a lot of customers have been happy with their service. Word-of-mouth advertising at its best, and it's a local business - - sounds good to me! I drop in close to 5pm on a Friday to find both owners there (The Lastovica Brothers) and explained my issue, one of them jumped right in w/ his jeweler hat on and took my watch and started troubleshooting the clasp issue. I browsed the watch selection and asked if they had any additional inventories to show off - - sure enough the other brother said: "we have a Presidential Rolex we can show you". Sounds enticing, let's check it out. Before he could break out that Presidential Rolex the other brother pops back in and says he's done fixing the clasp, literally faster than an Indy Pit Crew. I tried it on and it snapped on tight, just like new, I was extremely pleased. I asked for the bill and he responded: "don't worry about it, but just remember us the next time you're shopping for jewelry". Awesome, it doesn't get any better than that! Here comes that Presidential Rolex, it's 18 carat gold and looks immaculate. I told them I wasn't a gold-watch-type-of-guy but I soon realized that I spoke too soon because this watch was immaculate. The color and finish was polished to perfection, not too gaudy or shiny, just flawless. It's 18 carat gold and he tells me, "it's only twelve-ninety-nine". I'm like "wow, $1299?!?". "No, $12,999", he says. Yikes! They said a new one sells for $25K, and it's the same model of watch that President Kennedy wore when he was in office. I bet Norma Jean knows........ Bottom line is the Lastovica Brothers rock! They're personable, friendly, efficient, and provide quality customer service. It's how business used to be done, establishing r-ships with customers and providing quality products and services as opposed trying to maximize every buck you can get. I most certainly will be back if I'm ever in the market for some fine jewelry, a new watch, or a polished 18ct gold Norma Jean Presidential Rolex.

I ran across Furniture Care of Texas(FCOT) and compared them to other refinishing companies I researched and they stood out among them all. What impressed me most was they were a small family business and the pictures of their work spoke quality. When I spoke with them on the phone they were caring, detailed, professional and attentive to my questions. When I dropped my cabinet off at their location I was very impressed. I loved the location, the atmosphere and their workshop. They communicated with me during the whole process and gave me options and input on my request for the cabinet. When they completed the job they delivered it back to me with care. When the reveal was done, it brought tears to my eyes because of the beautiful job they had done. They brought that cabinet back to life like I've never seen it before. FCOT has brought so much joy and pride to me with the outstanding job they have done on this antique. I am a customer for life and have spread the word to all I know about their work. I promise, you will not be disappointed in their work. Again, Thank You and I am forever greatful for what you did to my grandmother's China cabinet.

The staff at this store are so helpful and friendly, and the store is very beautiful…read more I brought my bridal set in to be soldered because they were spinning around independently of each other, and I was afraid I'd damage them or knock a stone out. I was told it might be a week until they were done, but my rings were ready in just a few days, and the cost for the soldering was so reasonable, and you can't even see it, not even on the inside of the rings. Why I gave 4 stars is because the stone settings are not perfectly lined up on both rings as they should be, and one side of one ring sits higher and the other lower than the other, as shown in the photos. There are flat sides on each band that each ring is supposed to sit against so that the settings of each ring line up perfectly except for at the top of the engagement ring, but the repair person didn't set them on these sides. As a result, the assignment is wonky and a little bothersome, considering that soldering should've meant they'd line up perfectly. The discrepancy does bother my OCD a bit, but not enough to request a do over, or to be completely unhappy with the result. They stay together and you can't see the solder, and that's the important thing right now. Thank you for doing a great job Pagel and Sons.
