My experience at Lastovica Fine Jewelers was nothing short of exceptional. My Movado watch band clasp would not clip and secure itself, so I haven't been able to wear it for a while now, it looked to be a delicate issue w/ the clasp alignment. I purchased it at Macy's a year ago so I went back there for help, the employee said they would have to ship it to their jeweler in California and I would have to pay the costs. WTF? I'm sorry, but that just didn't sound appealing to me. Lucky she recommended Lastovica Jewelers, and said a lot of customers have been happy with their service. Word-of-mouth advertising at its best, and it's a local business - - sounds good to me! I drop in close to 5pm on a Friday to find both owners there (The Lastovica Brothers) and explained my issue, one of them jumped right in w/ his jeweler hat on and took my watch and started troubleshooting the clasp issue. I browsed the watch selection and asked if they had any additional inventories to show off - - sure enough the other brother said: "we have a Presidential Rolex we can show you". Sounds enticing, let's check it out. Before he could break out that Presidential Rolex the other brother pops back in and says he's done fixing the clasp, literally faster than an Indy Pit Crew. I tried it on and it snapped on tight, just like new, I was extremely pleased. I asked for the bill and he responded: "don't worry about it, but just remember us the next time you're shopping for jewelry". Awesome, it doesn't get any better than that! Here comes that Presidential Rolex, it's 18 carat gold and looks immaculate. I told them I wasn't a gold-watch-type-of-guy but I soon realized that I spoke too soon because this watch was immaculate. The color and finish was polished to perfection, not too gaudy or shiny, just flawless. It's 18 carat gold and he tells me, "it's only twelve-ninety-nine". I'm like "wow, $1299?!?". "No, $12,999", he says. Yikes! They said a new one sells for $25K, and it's the same model of watch that President Kennedy wore when he was in office. I bet Norma Jean knows........ Bottom line is the Lastovica Brothers rock! They're personable, friendly, efficient, and provide quality customer service. It's how business used to be done, establishing r-ships with customers and providing quality products and services as opposed trying to maximize every buck you can get. I most certainly will be back if I'm ever in the market for some fine jewelry, a new watch, or a polished 18ct gold Norma Jean Presidential Rolex.

We took it to Bill French Jewelers and Bill not only fixed the prong, he was quite patient about finding the right sized stone for the ring (I wanted a slightly larger stone), and made sure it was as near to perfect as a stone can get. In the summer of 2016, I went in to look at some rings for our pre-teen daughter for her upcoming birthday. Bill noticed my ring needed cleaning, but more so, he took a look at the diamond cross I was wearing. This cross was a birthday gift to me from my Mom (who passed in 2009) when I turned 16. I wear this cross all the time and rarely do I take it off. Bill noticed the bale for the cross and the clasp on the chain were worn thin. It was worn so thin, the cross was about to fall from the chain any second. Since I had been wearing it since I was 16 years old, that's A LOT of wear! I hadn't even noticed it. Bill, with his expert jeweler's eye for such detail, caught it! I was happy to turn it over to him for fixing and bought a better, thicker chain that went well with the cross. Not only that, after examining the cross, Bill explained to me the cross was not silver, as I had thought, but white gold and pointed out the carat measure on the back. It was too small for me to read and I never thought much about it, only that it was a gift from my Mom! I would have been devastated if I had ever lost this cross, not because of the worth in gold and diamonds, but because it was a gift from my Mom. Through the years, we have bought watches and other pieces of jewelry from Bill French. This Christmas my husband bought me a gorgeous watch. Before I shop anywhere for jewelry, we always stop in and see what Bill has first and foremost.
