They assumed I had all galvanized pipe under the driveway to the water meter and would have to cut and remove parts of my driveway. I decided to contact a competitor to get an estimate. The first thing they did was to open the meter box and discovered I have schedule 80 pvc and not galvanized. My new estimate is $1,400. I personally feel like DeHart was definitely trying to take advantage of me for being a senior. Be cautious everyone. Pacific Coast handles both detection and repairs, so they rechecked the issue with their own equipment to pinpoint the exact location before doing extensive repair work. When a second leak appeared, they came out the same day. Colin, the owner, and his colleague were friendly, communicative, and kept me updated on what they found and what to expect. They ended up opening drywall and threading in a new pipe, and I was impressed with their thoroughness and dedication. About two weeks after the repair, I reached out again for an unrelated problem with my water recirculation system. They came the same day to inspect it and offer guidance. If I ever do have another leak--though I don't expect to run into that problem again--they're the first company I would call.

When I called, I was treated very nicely on the phone and was able to schedule an appointment within 48 hours. Diagostic appointments are $89 during the week and $149 on Saturday. Our technician, Wes, was very professional, on time and easy to talk to. He came out and checked the unit (we needed a different fuse) and turned the unit on and got it running. I was very happy with the service from the ladies in the office to Wes our technician. Just a heads up, they have a monthly maintenance plan ($12.95 a month) that they will try and sell you. It includes an annual check of your A/C unit and of your heater. Any additional work or service calls are then 20% off. Just an FYI, if it is a good deal for you, then I would suggest getting it, if not, they will still service you. Thank you Honey's for making our experience a Sweet One!

I called Mainline Plumbing again because I had called them one time before (in 2019)and they were great. I am specifically talking about Tony, he was responsive and fixed the problem in one visit. If I reviewed them based on Tony, they would have received a 5 star review back then. Fast forward to the first week in October 2022, another one of our rentals had a plumbing back up and it was backing up into the laundry, tub and commode. I texted them(Miguel) the problem and told them I wanted it snaked because that usually clears the problem. He got back to me within a few hours and set up an appt for the next morning. I get a call after the appt and he told me it needed all new pipes because it was an old house and the pipes are filled with grease. The cost would be between $3k-4k. I was shocked and asked him if there were other alternatives and he said said hydro jetting would be the next best alternative. I asked him if the house was snaked and he said "yes" and that is how they knew about the grease. The hydro jetting would be done from the sewer line at the street. The cost would be about $600. So we opted for that. The next day they did the hydro jetting and it cleared the line and we thought all was good. We talked to the tenant and she said nobody ever snaked the house or used a camera, so how would they know that the pipes were filled with grease? I said I would call them and ask. So I called and asked those questions and he got really defensive and said he did not know how his guys knew there was grease in the lines, but the hydro jetting cleared it. That was not the point, snaking would have cleared it at the house where it was clogged. I was really put off and now knew I was taken advantage and was UPSOLD. I decided to let it go and went on with life. But I would never use them again. 2 weeks later we get a call from our tenant that is it clogged again. I really did not want to use them again but my husband said they needed to snake it and so he called them and they went back out. The worker never went into the house. He told the tenant that snaking did not work, so he needed to do something else to try to clear it. Where did he snake? He did come back again and did something else outside. The laundry, tub and commode drained, so we thought it was fixed. 2 days later everything backing up again. I refused to call them again as I found out they never snaked or used a camera to find the issue. I called another plumber referred by a friend and he came out, snake at the sewer and found that there was a few roots blocking the lines. The snake removed them and all is good. My husband called Mainline Plumbing to tell them that another plumber finally snaked the line and it cleared and we would like our $600 back. Miguel got defensive again and hung up on my husband. If this company would have just done what I asked them to do on the first visit(snake the lines) we would have saved $600 and a lot of time and frustration. Do not call Mainline Plumbing unless you want to be UPSOLD. Next call is to KCRA investigates. read more

I was so impressed by the service from Mainline Plumbing re: an issue with my bathroom faucet, which Miguel repaired with no further problems. This time it was to update and replace an OLD water heater and replace with a new one. Joey came out to do the replacement, and we were very impressed by his service, knowledge, and experience that he was able to take care of a serious problem with the piping that he found connected to the water heater itself. The pipe was rusted and broke very badly; We we're very lucky that it didn't break before replacing the water heater, or we would have had a very expensive repair as the water would have leaked into walls,etc. We had the water heater for 35 - 40 years with no problems. We were lucky to get another water heater from the same company that made the old water heater. HOWEVER, I WOULD NOT WAIT SO LONG TO REPLACE AGAIN. I would also recommend a check up once in a while just to make sure all is well. As soon as Joey saw the problem he immediately checked the water pipes within the home to make sure all were running properly as with this kind of problem it could damage other pipes as it releases broken parts of metal into the water pipes which would cause blockage. Thank God all was well. We are extremely happy with Mainline Plumbing and would recommend to everyone to call them if you have any plumbing problems. They installed, took care of what was wrong immediately, and hauled off the old heater. The prices they charge are extremely fair, and I am very particular about hiring those that have years worth of experience..which this company has. Can't get any better than with Mainline Plumbing. Outstanding work on an exceptionally difficult project, having to do a complete reroute on the main water line. They cut through the red tape and solved in a day. Miguel was flexible with payment and scheduling, had no problems at all, especially considering I'm a disabled vet on a fixed income. Had a ball chatting with Mac' & crew during the project, got some great laughs, too. Gave us tips on what to watch out for and water usage, too. Even more surprising, we're using 1/3 less water than before, as we found out these were really old lines (about 80 years old), likely the originals, and were leaking even before they failed outright. These folks will be our regular service from now on. Always good to keep the money in the community, too. Thanks again to everyone at Mainline for a terrific job. read more

I had a clogged toilet. I recalled getting excellent service from this company in 2019. I called and Miguel set up an appointment for the technician to come today. I was kept informed and received a text when the tech Obalit was on his way. Upon arrival, Obalit listened to what I said about the problem. He snaked out the toilet obstruction in no time. He did not try to sell me new parts for the tank. I thought they may need to be changed out but he said no, not at this time. We were so pleased with the work that Mainline Plumbing did for us. Joey was a sweetheart and knew his stuff. He comes from a long line of family plumbers. Our shower valve needed to be replaced, and we were told by another plumbing company that in order to do so, they would have to break through the outside stucco wall. We needed another opinion. Joey assured us that breaking through the stucco wasn't necessary. He removed a bit of the tile, replaced the valve, and covered the opening with a new chrome plate behind the faucet handle. I have used Mainline Plumbing a number of times over the years, always very professional, very timely and trust worthy. My water heater went out on this last saturday 12-5-2020 and Miguel got back to me and scheduled to come on the sunday and replace my water heater. Carmello came and did his usual good job (he has done a couple of jobs in the past), showed up right on time and got it done in about one hour, Miguel (the boss) even ran over a couple of needed parts. My rental condominium unit in Modesto had a shower head leak. From the moment Mainline Plumbing in Escalon answered my call they were efficient and professional. I was also told by them that at least two of them were evangelistic ministers. I'm a minister of my church and resent them looking down on me. I haven't ever heard of a church that condoned dishonesty, price gouging, incompetence and disrespect. I'll never use these undesirable men again!
