2 weeks ago the food was great, especially the garlic beef, today the garlic beef was extremely dry, and tasted like metal, I will neverrrrr go back there again especially the way that beef tasted, it was inedible. Tasted old. read more

Delicious food, yummy desserts. Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, but myself only knowing English was a bit of a struggle for our communication. A bit pricy. But we'll worth it read more

The food was excellent! There is no need to pay for the overpriced food at that "other Brazilian steak house." Make the trip to this place. It has a great mom-and-pop feel and authentic Brazilian food. I loved every bite; my stomach was so happy. The owner was friendly; she came by to talk while I ate and told me a little about her home country. read more

This place is a total hidden gem! Incredibly delicious and full of soul. You have to try the rotisserie meats! My daughter loved the meat and dessert, it reminded her of a Brazilian home! Food is great, the pricing not so much. Super tasty & super pricey. The meat is quality. I love the flank steak

I have been coming here for years and this is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is good. It's like visiting your favorite aunty's house. The family here is always nice and welcoming. The sun is always shining- the greenery sitting on the window sill. People say the food is pricey, but I wouldn't know because you get what you pay for. Here is what I'm usually here for: The white rice. How can plain rice be so delicious? Idk, but it is. Some type of stew ( chicken or beef) to go over the rice, with red beans The kale salad is delish, plus it's good for you I rarely try the various meats, but when I do it's also very tasty. Pork, chicken, bacon wrapped chicken, steak. I even tried some grilled pineapple and it was just what you want. Homemade picante ( be careful). I am never disappointed when I visit this place. read more

The hubby and I decided to try out a different cuisine for the first time - Brazilian food. We decided to visit this small hidden Brazilian Steakhouse and Buffet in Avon. What a little hidden Gem of a restaurant. Great steak, good prices and friendly service.

This is always my go to spot when I want something fast, but delicious. The place was pretty full on a sunday- lots of folks canm in from church for a quick to go plate. They had new food trays and a few new dishes in the salad bar. The restaurant is always clean and warm welcoming. read more

They have great food and a lot of selection. I love their chicken wrapped in bacon. Also, if you like steak they have that and my friend loves chicken heart. I've never tried chicken heart so I can't really tell you much about those. read more

Big fan of this place. Good selection of sides and meat is extremely tender. Tip - Get their passion fruit juice (I don't remember the second juice - it's right behind the register). Ask for half and half. The juice is refreshing. Their hot sauce is phenomenal! read more

This is a family run restaurant. And they are absolutely dedicated to making sure you're happy and satisfied with your dinner. I was chatting with the older woman about the restaurant, how reall good the food was, and the friendliness of everyone. She's the cook, her husband the grill master, her daughter the hostess/waitress, her son the... like I said: a proud working family! Cool. ‍ There is a salad bar with over 2 dozen choices including fish, meatballs, fruits, veggies, and of course salad. The grill is typically Brazilian, with many skewers of various meats - sirloin, flank, pork, ribs, chicken, lamb... lots. Price for the dinner meal was better than reasonable, regarding the quality, service, selection, taste. Great! I asked, Mainha means little woman ...but she was head and shoulders over any other restaurant nearby. read more

I discovered Mainha 10 years ago - 1 year after buying my home and desperately looking for a nearby Brazilian restaurant that has good food. Being Brazilian myself; it's hard to satisfy my palate as I know what GOOD traditonal Brazilian food should taste like. Well, Mainha did not disappoint! It's a little hole in the wall run by Husband and Wife - husband handles the Churrasco (BBQ) and Wife (Mainha) and Sister do the cooking. They have the Brazilian/American translation labels so you know what the food is (or close enough because there is nothing like Brazilian food). Oh! and expect to always have different options in the buffet as the special dishes are rotated daily outside the white rice and beans (blk and brwn) because those are just a tradition with every meal. Mainha is very hospitable and treats you like family! I enjoy going there not just for the food but also for our chats which take me back home to the motherland! Good Job Mainha and Co - because of you I haven't had to travel for 40 minutes to get Brazilian food! read more

Food quality is still good but the prices have gone through the roof. A plate of rice, some stew meat, beans and some tortellini salad (all from the buffet bar) with no meats from the skewer all added up to $18. Crazy expensive. read more

It's a place you would go to do a to go order. The meat was too salty for me and cold :/. The sides were pretty good but nothing too special. The desserts were amazing, especially the flan and the coconut cake. The owners are this really cute couple that were really enthusiastic about having people come by. I think I would give this place another chance. read more

Live nearby been going since high school best spot in the area better than Brazil grill

Great food reasonably priced!!! Many items to choose from and the best part is you will walk away full. Check it out!

A pleasant surprise! I'm a huge fan of Rodízio restaurants, and had craved some good Brazilian steakhouse fare, but I didn't feel like driving to any of the three mediocre ones in Braintree and Quincy. Lets get to it: Concept: Turn one way and there is a buffet of traditional Brazilian food. Turn the other way, and behold what you came for: 15 juicy, perfectly cooked meats on skewers cooking over a fire. Unlike Rodizio buffets, they do not bring the meats to you in rotating fashion and have you point to which cut you want, and they do not charge a flat rate. (Its about $16-$19 for the Quincy area spots) They charge you be weight; about $10 a heaping plate. So it creeps into the $$ range instead of the $ range, but its worth it for reasons to follow. Food: For the most part, skip the regular buffet stuff. Like most buffets, its been sitting there for a little while and is its meats are a little tough. I did like the breaded fish and the pork ribs, but the coupe de grace was the Galinhada. Think yellow spanish rice with saffron and vegetables. That rice went well with ALL the meats. And oh the meat. I didn't try all 15 types for a couple reasons. I wanted to be able to partially walk/stumble out as opposed to hiring someone to roll me out. And a couple of the meats were the same thing but cooked medium or rare for those that prefer that sort of thing. Most of them are cooked to medium rare perfection. My favorite two were the flank steak and the boneless ribs. Both so very succulent. Which brings us to the reason why this place is worth the little bit of extra money over the mediocre Quincy/Dedham area joints. The meat is just better. Not too salty like many of them are at the joint on Hancock St, not too dry like at the Midwest Grill in Dedham, or really all of them to one degree or another. The chef/co-owners are a husband and wife team, and the husband simply gives you the best cut every time. And because you can point to whatever you want, and its not in 15 meat rotating fashion, you don't have to take the bad with the good. (relative-to-taste speaking; it's all delicious) Other meats besides the ones I mentioned: sausages, lamb (wasn't ready when I was there) Top Sirloin, chicken wrapped in bacon and many more. The key complimentary ingredient besides the rice? The glazed pineapple on its own skewer, winking at you, seducing you. In general I like as much variety in flavors as is humanly possible, but I couldn't resist every other bite including some pineapple. Often times at other places, the pineapple is necessary to be able to swallow the overly dry meat. Here, its the hot fudge, the sundae, AND the cherry on top of every bite of juicy meat. If I really like a place, I don't just remember the meal, I remember a specific perfect bite. Here, the only dry skewered meat was the chicken wrapped in bacon. I've never brazilian bacon-wrapped chicken that wasn't too dry EVER. Solution: Strip the bacon off the chicken, add a little piece of boneless ribs or the flank steak and top it off with a little piece of pineapple. What an amazing bite. I'm going to go change my pants now. Atmosphere: Small, very basic, nothing fancy. Actually the layout is more like that of a breakfast place. A bunch of semi-ugly looking license plate shaped S American/Latin American/Hispanic locations from around the world. You didn't come here for the atmosphere though, did you? Service: Although it is a buffet, service obviously still matters. And the wife part of the married team was extremely friendly, attentive and personable. We chatted a little bit. If I like a place and the owner is around, I like to let them know. And as I said before the husband gave me the best cuts of meat every time; that's all the service I needed from him! So why not 5 stars? Being a huge foodie for the better part of two decades, and having always been too lazy to write reviews (I CAN'T half-ass them) I have determined that now that I've taken the plunge, I will not give out 5 star reviews to any place unless they so blow me away that I truly consider them to be one of the best places I've ever eaten. A place that I can't wait to go back to literally that same night. And simply put: I've never eaten at ANY Brazilian place that I consider to be "Five Stars". But check this place out and keep them in business! They deserve it, and so do your taste buds. read more

I've worked in Avon for almost 3 years but had never stopped into this Brazilian restaurant that I often pass on my way to and from the local Stop and Shop. My co-worker and I decided to try it today for lunch and it was delicious! It is set up buffet-style and you pay by weight. After getting cold salad items and hot buffet items you can add on meat. The meat options were plentiful (garlic beef, sausage, chicken, spare rib, pork, many more). We each got a heaping plate of food, including meat, plus a drink, for between $7-$10. The muqueca on the buffet was delicious! They bill themselves as Brazilian and Italian, but the only proof of that we saw was in a lasagna on the hot buffet. I'd definitely go back again for lunch, though might just do take-out next time (not a huge fan of Spanish language TV shows in the background). read more

Went here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food and service was. Not the biggest selection of food but was cooked perfectly. First time checking this place out. Honestly you'd drive right past this gem just because it's never packed in the parking lot. This place offers buffet style where your plate is priced by weight. Options include rice, bean sauce (habichuelas), macaroni salad , chicken lasagna, potato salad, etc. delicious comfort foods basically. On the grill, they offer steak, chicken, pork, that's cut right in front of you to the amount you prefer. Staff was friendly. Take out and dining options available. The place was clean and 2 tv's are available in the dining area. I'll definitely be coming to also try the homemade desserts! Honestly I'm surprised this place hasn't gotten more attention, it's well deserved. read more

Great spot! Clean and very friendly. Family owned and operated. The sides were yummy and the variety of slow roasted meats were delicious. Do not salt! The meats are seasoned to perfection. It is a bit on the pricey side but well worth it. Every thing is weighed and priced according to how much you order. I know my family will want to come back. Next year awaits. Thank you Mainha! read more

Worst Brazilian food I have ever had. Pay by the pound is BS because there is no way we had 2 and a half pounds on the plat with 5 little pieces of meat. They don't zero out the scale with there 1 1/2 pound plate. I don't recermend this place to anyone 39.00 later and we left hungry. read more

My husband, daughter and a friend went to Mainha over the weekend, we'd never been there and based our decision on Yelp reviews. We weren't disappointed! The food was delicious, the meat selection was plentiful and the cook gave his honest suggestions. I chose boneless shortribs, rare and they were wonderful. They weigh the meals by the pound which could get expensive if you're a big eater but our dinner was about $50 for 3 adults and a toddler. We will definitely go back! read more

We walked in and we're directed to a sad looking "buffet" with delicious looking meats, but the buffet of sides was pretty crusty looking. Then the bartender/waitress told us they didn't wait on tables and we make our own and then weigh it and it's $7.99/lb. I'm sorry, but for a Brazilian place I'm not paying per pound like I'm at a supermarket salad bar. We ended up leaving. read more

So sad. No words. I wanted to love it so much. I needed Brazilian food so bad, that even ok would have been good for This Easton resident suffering from dismal culinary variety and talent. Avon Industrial Park denizens, this is your lunch place. Spinning 15 kinds of meat and a nice buffet with something for every palate. I tried a cut of the sirloin, short rib, and dark meat chicken along with some of their pasta salad offerings and it came to $10. The staff is friendly and ready to help you put together a nice plate. Doesn't look like much when you drive up, but once you get out of the car the aromas will pull you right in. Just go. read more
