They have the option of all you can eat and they come around and offer all different meats cooked and cut fresh. We recently went again after a couple years and they expanded the restaurant, with a lot more seats. Unfortunately, they no longer offer alcohol (or at least not at the moment). This time we both just order a meal and not the all you can eat, and the food was... ok. I'm hoping it was just a one off and that they bounce back to the amazingness from before (really, we would rave about this place to people!) One plus is they have a buffet you can make a to go plate and pick your meat. While it is pricey per pound, it's better than other take out places. The sides change everyday, so it's always a surprise of what they will have. At the end of this short line, there are meat carvers and servers who will service you your meat choices at any degree of cooking: rare, medium rare, etc. Alice had chicken, and I had beef and sausage. Once your place is filled to your choosing at the meat station, it's weighed, and you're presented with a hand-written receipt with the cost. We ate very well for very little money. Our foods were delicious. There are beverages and a bar. We arrived at Noon with approximately 10 other people at tables. By 1pm there were at least 30 people eating. There are beautiful ribs and delicious smokey flavor here and nothing to fear or peck at. The condiments. The chef from São Paulo has a real mastery of condiments. His salad dressing will literally turn you into a salad person even if you don't enjoy or typically opt for a salad. There is a little vinegar-based pepper condiment for the feijoada that perfectly balances the wieght of the dish. Don't sleep on any of the little liquids in plastic cups that are served to you. They are all gold. The few issues I've had are regarding communication to customers. I've driven to the restaurant during normal business hours THREE times in a row to find them closed. On two occasions they closed early because it was a slow day. This is especially odd because their hours are lunch-focused as opposed to dinner focused. This is common in Brazil but I feel a little out of place in the U.S. Being closed for dinner is not great, in my personal opinion. Another time they were closed for participating in a culture festival, which is wonderful, but when I called before coming there was no automated message or any type of communication at all informing me that they wouldn't be open that day. It was irritating. Despite the above, when you can make it in, call to make sure they are actually there, and your visit will be well worth it. They are a tiny, family-run kitchen, and I'm ok overlooking to bumps in the road for superb food and very nice people.

From the outside, the restaurant looks plain and unassuming, but once inside, it's modern, comfortable, and inviting. We had made reservations, but when we arrived, the place wasn't too crowded. The staff greeted us warmly and explained that we could either do the full rodizio or choose specific meats and pay by the pound. Naturally, we went for the full rodizio experience. The salad bar was a pleasant surprise. Unlike other Brazilian steakhouses that focus mainly on cold cuts, cheeses, and salads, Spettus had a smaller selection of cold items but an impressive variety of hot dishes such as pastas, meatballs, rice, and chicken parm. Everything was flavorful and fresh, and honestly, I could've been perfectly happy just eating from the salad bar alone. We also noticed that a good number of customers were doing takeout, which might explain the larger selection of hot foods. Then came the main event, the meats. Since it was a slower evening and we were the only table doing the full rodizio, we basically had personalized service. The gentleman serving the meats was friendly, attentive, and clearly took pride in what he was serving. He offered great recommendations, took our requests, and playfully encouraged us to take "just one more slice" each time he came around. Every cut we tried was excellent, but the garlic steak really stood out for its flavor. The sausage was fantastic, and the absolute stars of the night were the picanha and the grilled pineapple. I could eat those two forever and be completely content. Overall, Spettus Steak House delivered a top-notch experience that easily rivals some of the larger chain Brazilian steakhouses.
