We stopped into Maine-ly Drizzle while visiting Kennebunkport and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Nick and Debbie (owners) welcomed us into their store the way you'd welcome a guest into your home. It can be overwhelming at first, with kettles of olive oil and vinegar lined up row after row, but don't worry... they've master'd their craft and will help guide you through the process. Nick would mix up different combinations of oil and vinegar and provide us details on the tastes and how they could be used. It was very educational. Everything he picked was a home run. The challenge became figuring out what to get. Along with all the oils and different food products in the store, Maine-ly Drizzle has a variety of pre-made gift boxes which are hand made by Debbie. We picked up some unique combos (e.g. expresso and an mushroom sage oil) for a relative hoping to have a pre-made gift box available. They didn't, but Debbie had her materials in the shop, so she made a custom gift box for us while we browsed around. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by. I've been to some other olive oil stores in the past, but this was a completely different experience. Nick and Debbie are extremely passionate about what they do, and it shows in their expertise and willingness to help educate customers. He mixed any combination of flavored olive oil & vinegar for a taste test; I'd pick an oil or vinegar and he knew exactly what to match it with & how to use it. Flavors I'd never imagined, like mushroom and sage oil w/espresso balsamic vinegar, Persian lime oil with cranberry pear white balsamic (my favorite), and Tuscan herb oil w/Sicilian lemon white balsamic vinegar. Devine selection and reasonable prices! This place was a welcome find in Kennebunkport. Most notable for us was the black truffle salt, and the vegan butter flavored olive oil. We are from near Corning, California, the Olive Capitol of the country, and we are REALLY into olive oil. With that said, butter flavored olive oil is something we've never seen anywhere else! She was an exceptional salesperson- knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and most importantly, not the least bit intrusive or pushy. She pairs olive oils and balsamic vinegars that are refreshing and well suited together. She even has a printed tasting sheet to help your memory! My husband and I stumbled upon this place while visiting Kennebunkport. I honestly can not say enough nice things about Maine-ly Drizzle. First the owner is so nice. When we first walked in we were warmly greeted and we just looked a few mins. Each and every olive oil and balsamic are set up to try. Sampling them individually we were already in love with the store. But then the owner introduced us to a few of the perfect pairings...it was unlike anything We had ever tasted. We left that day with 4 small bottles to try at home but within a week we ordered 3 of the largest bottle. The bottles arrived about 4 days later. I was thrilled but one bottle was leaking. I took pictures JIC and contacted the store. They were so kind and offered to mail a replacement. We will forever be customers. If you like olive oil and/or balsamic vinegar I highly recommend you visit this store. read more

I absolutely love this place and the owner.l is just so knowledgeable and very sweet person. I don't know anything about oils and vinegars. I visited this shop because it is highly rated shop. I looked around the inside the shop for a few minutes, and I asked the owner if he can pick few stuffs for 2 dishes I make the most - pasta and stir fry. He gave me 3 types of mix (2 pasta, 1 stir fry. And you can use them on salads also). I just cooked the pasta with oil and vinegar I bought and my hubby wowed!!! I also had a very nice conversation with the owner. I am coming back with my hubby next time and this is the first stop we will make for sure!!! Lapin and I came here to replenish our stock of flavored oils and vinegar. Nick was the only person on staff and he was very nice and attentive. However, once the store started getting more busy, we were just kind of standing there waiting to check out (we waited around an additional 30 minutes). While, he was nice and we do like supporting local businesses, we had reservations and were coming close to miss it. The prices are decent, around $17.95 for "large" bottle of specialty oil/vinegar (roughly a "small" bottle at your local grocer) and $6.95 for specialty items like mustard/honey. On a side note, Nick was knowledgeable on why certain products were picked he wasn't knowledgeable on how they were produced, ingredients, etc. read more

I love this shop! I went there because my daughter wanted to go, but now I'm a convert. All I like on my salads now are their oils and vinegars. I know it's healthier, but that's not why we eat our salad with these products. It's because they are delicious! The staff are exceedingly helpful with lots of suggestions. I've never been to an olive oil tasting room but this was quite the experience. The staff kept coming with different combinations that tasted better and better. The prices are all reasonable. The marketing to pull you in to the second floor shop was spot on and the owner - had a no pressure, come on in, let's give it a whirl, love for life and his business attitude that was refreshing! I love to cook and try new things and we fell instantly in love with this place - the large kettles for tasting, the paring of the olive oils and vinegars, the recommendations for ways to use (especially to get the kids to eat them), the laughing, the joking... and to top it off it was SPOTLESS!! I mean absolutely SPOTLESS! Pricing is more than reasonable, the website is wonderful and did I mention...the owner knew we were on the bike and recommended a few spots to try and a way to drive to get away from all the traffic. Great place. The owner really likes what he does. I have found many things in Kennebunkport slightly higher priced than in other cities however that was not the case with the olive oil. If you like to mix things up from time to time with your cooking look into the infused olive oils. I use them for cooking, salads, making hummus...etc. There selection was great. They had great flavors. They were cheaper thank oil stores in Chicago, mpls, Cincinnati to name some of the others I've visited. Having trouble getting the kids to eat salads? Yes, there are many places like this now, but not like this at all. I discovered this place a few years ago during the Christmas Prelude. What great gifts to buy here with the small "trial" size of oils and vinegars. First, you have to go there just go. The selections of oils and vinegars are amazing. This is truly a family owned business, and the owners are as friendly and helpful and fantastic as you can get. There are dessert olive oils and vinegars. (Who knew?) and they will help you pair up the flavors and tell you what you use the different pairings belong with which foods. I love the blood orange Olive Oil with Dark chocolate vinegar. You mix them together and pour over fresh blue berries or pound cake. Amazing! The website has recipes and tips on all kinds of foods and what goes well. The prices of the products they have are very reasonable, and again, as stated above, you can get some unique and lovely gifts for your favorite teachers, foodies, and anyone that enjoys wonderful and flavorful enhancements for food. We visited Maine-Ly Drizzle yesterday at the recommendation of friends. The shop is immaculately clean with tasting canisters placed on beautiful fixtures. You can try various olive oils and balsamic vinegars, and the proprietors are there to suggest pairings or recipes. They have a website with even more recipes and suggestions. They carry wine and cheese also, so you can shop for a special treat or maybe a gift. They ship and have lovely paired gift sets all over the store. We will definitely return and probably order some things online when we are away from Kennebunkport. read more

Over the summer my aunt visited this store to get the best balsamic vinegar. As the season winded down I figured it was time to jump on the opportunity to visit the store. It is fantastic! All of the oils and vinegars are available for tasting. The owner is so knowledgeable about his product. It was great to listen to his recommendations and pairings he suggested.
