Christmas decorations are displayed on Main Street in Disneyland!!
    Andrea A.

I insanely LOVE Main Street USA in Disneyland. This version of Main Street is far superior to Disney World's Magic Kingdom's version (sorry Disney World fans)! Anyways, Main Street has the most amazing shops including a Disney theater that shows vintage Disney cartoons, Great Moments with Mr Lincoln attraction, a flower shop, bakeries, an ice cream parlor and so many yummy restaurants too. My favorite shops include the Main Street emporium and the plaza point holiday shoppe. The Emporium features everything from Disney clothing, food, Kitchen items, home decor, stuffed animals, toys, jewelry (the list goes on and on)! The Plaza Point Holiday Shoppe is opened year round and has so many amazing Christmas decorations (you will fall in love for sure)! Another amazing thing about Main Street are the characters (you can always spot them), all the stores are themed and decorated so beautifully and there is a lovely horse drawn carriage that will take you down Main Street and drop you off at Fantasyland. Walt's apartment also sits above the Main Street Fire Department; I have never been but I hear you can take a tour of it. Main Street is an absolute shoppers dream came true and is what makes Disneyland so charming and elegant.

Main Street is filled with cute shops and restaurants to enjoy. Our favorite option is a classic corn dog. So yummy!!!

Main Street USA is the street leading into the theme park. They have souvenir shops and restaurants. It's also where they have the parade and fireworks show at night. Don't forget to pick up your pictures that's on your photo pass. This is also where you'll find the Disneyland Railroad and Main Street Vehicles such as the Horseless Carriage, Fire Engine, Horse-Drawn Streetcars, and Omnibus. You'll find the Opera House which features Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Get your free Disney buttons at City Hall. The Disney Dining at Main Street are Carnation Cafe, Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, Refreshment Corner, Market House, Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, and Plaza Inn. Plaza Inn is where they have the character breakfast. Get that pink Minnie Mouse button.

If your feet start failing you during a long day at the "Happiest Place on Earth" or if you are just plain old lazy (I am prone to laziness) Disneyland provides several forms of transportation up and down Main Street USA. Rohlinism: It is better to feel lazy than to feel exhausted! You can pick up a ride from a Main Street USA Horse-Drawn Streetcar, the Main Street USA Fire Engine, the Main Street USA Omnibus or the Main Street USA Jitney at the Town Square near City Hall and at Central Plaza in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Each of the four forms of transportation has a marked stop: ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/main-street-vehicles-anaheim?select=BfZ2F42cwCARTbz53txK8w ) ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/main-street-vehicles-anaheim?select=hhT-w0vQoRctuz4ORt5wbw ) ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/main-street-vehicles-anaheim?select=ys-tSzFDeW5MHxLAv25_0Q ) ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/main-street-vehicles-anaheim?select=CPnDQwzcbr_4UloaYe7OPg ) The rides are one way, but there is nothing stopping you from getting off one vehicle and jumping right onto another vehicle to complete your round trip. It is best to catch a ride early in the morning and it is a great way to work your way through the crowds on Main Street USA ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/main-street-vehicles-anaheim?select_video=FjFPEB3IzLLT6JFjm-nq4g ) since Disneyland vehicles always have the right of way in the park. I believe the vehicles don't run in the evening and the horse-drawn streetcars will retire for the day if the temperature reaches 90 degrees for the protection of the horses. Of the four forms of transportation available, the better half and I have only utilized the horse-drawn streetcars: ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/main-street-vehicles-anaheim?select=jfFdilo4gtO_q398LC_NTg ) ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/main-street-vehicles-anaheim?select=6lwlAiGqxi0yv7vMZdQFuA ) Disneyland has a stable in Norco with a combination of Percherons, Clydesdales, Belgians and Shires with a smaller stable in the park behind the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction. The smaller stable holds six horses and each horse works no more than 4 hours a day and no more than 4 days a week. The horses also get about five to ten minute breaks between each stop and about a 20 minute break when the Disneyland Band plays in front of the train station. Each horse is capable of pulling approximately 3000 pounds of dead weight (1 1/2 times their weight) and the streetcar carries around 30 guests at a leisurely 4 miles per hour. Like the rest of the cast members, each horse has its own name tag proudly displayed on the inside of the streetcar. Please remember the horses are working and like all working animals the horses should not be touched while on the job. If you are interested in something with a little more "hoof-power", Disneyland has three motorized options: ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/main-street-vehicles-anaheim?select=FIFGutjqW8jRUjf4ajCw4Q ) ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/main-street-vehicles-anaheim?select=GTlQq4QTKDYpKVJcG_Ny2A ) ( https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/main-street-vehicles-anaheim?select=43_24H2Ed74aQGlhynSiEA ) The original fire engine which was driven on opening day and would from time to time find Walt Disney himself at the wheel is now housed inside the fire station next to guest relations. The current fire engine making the rounds up and down Main Street USA by Bob Gurr and built at the Disney Studios. The Disney folk lore tells us Mr. Gurr didn't want the fire engine delivered on the back of a flatbed, so he drove the assembled vehicle 45 minutes from the studio to the park. The fire engine can accommodate 8 to 10 park guests. The jitney gets its name from early 1900s slang for a nickel and later was applied to small buses which cost a nickel to ride. The vehicle is modeled after the first vehicles on the early 1900s. The jitney has a two cylinder, four horsepower engine with a manual transmission. Like the fire engine, the jitney has a capacity of 8 to 10 park guests. The last horseless option is the omnibus. The omnibus at Disneyland holds 45 park guests and is a double decker bus fashioned after the buses that ran in New York City during the 1920s. The second deck of the bus gives park guests a unique vantage point for pictures when traversing Main Street USA. The better half and I will continue to use these forms of transportation to get up and down Main Street USA when we don't feel like fighting through the crowds or when we get a case of the "lazies"!

Main Street USA, the entrance to Disneyland!!! Popcorn, churros, city hall, Walt's apartment, Opera House, cinema, shopping and dining ...

It's so shocking to me to see that Main Street is on Yelp. Ha. Well if you've never been to Disneyland and you're planning on going Main Street is beautiful at night, all the lights come on, it's full of food and stores! & it's beautiful! It can get packed though very quickly and it tends to be full of people by the time parades or fireworks start, so be mindful! Most of the time cast members take you behind Main Street to get through the park!

This is a project in which elementary, middle, and high school choirs and bands performed at Valencia High School in the city of Placentia, CA, in the morning, and were then invited to visit Knott's Berry Farm for fun and the award ceremony in the late afternoon. We were thrilled that both our Bishop Amat Choir and Bands took home four first-place trophies across four categories. Back to Knott's Berry Farm, this amusement park is so much fun. It is a large property, and there is so much to see, do, and enjoy a great, memorable time. On this day, when we visited the park, it was a bit crowded (but fun nonetheless) as numerous school-aged choirs and bands were there, and it was also opening day for Knotts' Soak City water park. Knotts had a promotion for ticket holders who visited both parks on the same day. The crowds were no problem whatsoever as we ALL managed to get on numerous rides, listen to music, eat ice cream, and have bartered fish tacos for dinner. The park is well-maintained, employees were all extremely friendly and helpful, and security can be seen throughout the park to ensure everyone's safety. My family and I chose to purchase standard annual passes, which were very affordable at $120.09 per pass. Interest-free monthly payments are a great option if you prefer not to pay for your season pass in one shot. Now that my family and I have annual passes with parking included, we will definitely visit often, if only to have lunch or dinner at the park.

Very disappointed with the treatment my family received at Disneyland on May 22, 2026…read more We are Believe Key Magic Key holders and entered Disney California Adventure around 9:22 PM with no issues. All of our passes scanned successfully. Around 10:05 PM we attempted to enter Disneyland Park and suddenly my husband's pass showed "no reservation found." Instead of trying to understand the situation or properly investigate, management immediately accused us of basically forcing our way into the park. I repeatedly asked them to review scan records and cameras because we clearly scanned all passes earlier that evening. One manager, Patricia, even stated that regardless of what cameras showed, it would still somehow be our fault. The most upsetting part was how they treated us regarding our autistic 5-year-old son. I explained multiple times that our son did not understand why his father was suddenly being denied entry and separated from us. Rather than showing empathy, another manager, Laura, allegedly stated I was "using my autistic son as an excuse" and compared our situation to her own personal experience with autism. As parents, this was heartbreaking, humiliating, and completely unacceptable. We were treated with suspicion instead of compassion. My husband was eventually allowed in with a replacement pass around 11 PM, but due to parade crowding he did not reunite with us until around 11:30 PM, ruining a large portion of our evening. Disney is supposed to be a place where families feel welcome and supported. Unfortunately, this experience made us feel judged, dismissed, and discriminated against. I truly hope Disneyland reviews how this situation was handled and provides better training on guest care and sensitivity toward families with special-needs children.

Use a credit card to book your room, so you can use their quick check in line. Either way, make sure you take the exact card you use to book for checking in. Before you go, buy the discounted dining deal. You can only buy it in advance, and the food and drinks are pretty pricey, so you will spend $$$. I also suggest attaching your credit card to your wristband for convenience. We really enjoyed the pizza place onsite. We checked in on a Sunday and it was a bit crowded, but we managed to do it all in three hours. The kids loved the bunk bed, and my only complaint about our room is that the tub faucet leaked. The next day, we packed a bag with a change of clothes that we fit into a small locker for $12, and went back into the waterpark for a couple more hours. I recommend packing travel toiletries for a quick shower before leaving. They have plenty of showers, changing rooms, and a swimsuit dryer, but no toiletries in the waterpark bathrooms. Waterpark towels are provided and must be checked out and in or you'll be charged, so don't lose them. There's a water bottle refill station in the waterpark near the bathrooms. We didn't try many of the activities offered except for the arcade that offered packages starting at $35. Lastly, be sure to pay for parking before you leave. That was also $35. All in all, we got a deal on the room but spent more on food, drinks, games, and parking combined. My kids are 5 and 10, and they were able to go on just about everything that was open. One day was plenty of time if you don't plan on doing all of the activities.

They don't care at all about the condition you are in and don't offer any suggestions to keep you comfortable if you're sick. Also our room wasn't even ready after 4pm. Worst check in experience ever. Loud noise all through the night of kids screaming and running around.
