Halloween time!

I love Main Street USA! So much nostalgia and so many cool details that only select people know if they have read about it or if they learned the interesting trivia during a tour. Of course it is also the best place to watch the parade and fireworks.

Aloha gang! Upon entering Main Street USA, the orange and yellow colored banners draping Disneyland City Hall, signaled the arrival of the Fall season. The large Mickey pumpkin decor in town square was the highlight as folks gathered to take photos for Halloween. Although the crowds were lighter than normal, the bustling energy of people down the center of Main Street and the sounds of honking horns from vehicles like the double decker bus and fire truck created that magic, the special kind of magic that Walt wanted to share with others.

So many shops in every direction, 20th century feel on the outside and modern on the inside! It's like stepping back in time seeing all the old Main Street Vehicles going around Main Street USA! I wanted to ride their Horse-Drawn Street Car, next time! The Main Street Opera House that plays the Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is currently closed. On the brighter side, I'm excited to see the new "Walt Disney - A Magical Life!" It will open May 16th and eventually be on rotation with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Disney Clothiers that's been open since 1985, took the place of the former Hallmark card shop. If you're looking for baby specific clothing, all the nearby shops will send you here! I purchased the Minnie Mouse Costume Zip Hoodie for Baby to match her big sis's kid size. I especially loved the embroidered "Minnie Mouse" on the sleeve! The Minnie Mouse Cap and Mittens Set I folded the hat in half for baby and big sis wore the mittens! They have a wide selection for adults too, I purchased the cozy Gray Mickey Mouse Sherpa Lined Zip Hoodie with a nice embroidered Mickey Mouse! The light Pink Mickey Crocs are very popular and cute, but they had my size here! I would definitely recommend checking out the area that was modeled after Walt's hometown, Marceline, Missouri! We'll definitely be returning to check out more shops like Silhouette Studio to get a lovely silhouette keepsake done! And excited to get some Disney Croc charms for my first pair of Crocs! SYOY! :-)

As soon as you walk inside Disneyland, the first thing your adventure will bring you to is Main Street, U.S.A! There are so many attractions, stores, food, and exhibits in Main Street, U.S.A. As you walk the main street, you'll see Cinderella Castle in Fantasyland off in the distance. One ride is inside Main Street, U.S.A, which is the Disneyland Railroad. You can embark on a scenic journey of the entire park on the railroad ride, or just take it to your next stop such as Tomorrowland. The ride is usually 18 minutes long round trip, but it will take longer since it does stop at 4 different locations - Main Street, U.S.A. New Orleans Square Mickey's Toontown Tomorrowland While in Main Street, you'll see some of the Main Street Vehicles circling around Main Street. There are also the beautiful Disney Art Gallery and the Disneyland Story presenting great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Main Street U.S.A also has the best stores to shop at. The Emporium has the largest selection of souvenirs in the park. The store has a wide range of toys, apparel, kitchen items, snow globes, hats, and so much more! The Crystal Arts is a an amazing store to view Disney's glittering gifts and mementos! There are a few places to eat at in Main Street U.S.A. I think Main Street U.S.A has some of the best food options in the theme park. One of my go to places is the Jolly Holiday Bakery. During the Halloween Half Marathon, I did eat at the Carnation Café, outside, but it was a hot day out! Starbucks Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen Refreshment Corner Plaza Inn Jolly Holiday Bakery Carnation Café Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor I also had one of the best drinks during the Halloween season at the Refreshment Corner, the Sparkling Pickle Juice.. Yes, Pickle Juice!! It was AMAZING!!! If only I knew how to make the exact same drink. All I know are the ingredients which was sparkling water, lemonade, and pickle juice, with a pickle spear. It was so good, especially on the hot day. It was 108 out! The parades also go down Main Street. You'll also see the marching bands and the Dapper Dans on occasion. You'll want to make sure to check out the Disneyland mobile application for showtimes!

My happy place, especially around the holidays! Disney has changed so much over the years and even though there is no real "off peak" period anymore and when it is super busy there is just nothing like that magical feeling you get as you stroll down Main Street USA. It holds so many special memories for me. Memories of spending time with friends and family, as well as the framily we have made at Disney. Best place to grab a coffee or treat and even wander and shop a bit. I always say ice cream and Starbucks just hit different when in the parks!

What's more fun than that feeling when you're through the gates and walking down the time capsule that' is Main Street USA! The magic awaits you, with shops that offer everything from clothing to treats! :)

This is the first themed area that you walk into after entering Disneyland. At the other end of Main Street, U.S.A. in the center of the park is the famous Sleeping Beauty Castle. Main Street is inspired by Walt Disney's hometown of Marceline, Missouri. Up and down the street are gift shops, places to eat and a cinema that shows classic Mickey Mouse cartoons. Guest services is also located here. You can take a ride on a horse-drawn streetcar or check out the Disneyland band. Many Disney characters hang around this area for photo ops and autographs. Main Street, U.S.A. gets crowded during the parades and the firework show. They will rope off the area for the parade and people will sit on the sidewalk to claim a spot hours before the show starts. I like coming here at night when I am winding down my day after being on rides all day. If I want to grab a souvenir or a last minute snack, they have a couple of large gift shops here on Main Street, U.S.A. It has always been a tradition of mine to grab ice cream at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor and watch the fireworks before I leave the park. If you look above the fire department, you will see the window to Walt Disney's personal apartment that he would use to watch the crowds enter the park.

Main Street USA has it all! They have all the shopping you could want. The food spots (carnation cafe and Jolly Holiday) and places for something sweet (ice cream, churros, and candy store). There's an arcade, magic store and fire station. The gallery and great moments with Mr. Lincoln is filled with imagination and rich history. The old fashioned cars and horse drawn carriages are sure to entertain! Main Street is jam packed with hidden Disney gems!

Sandra R.

Main Street U.A.A features a combination of architectural styles, including Queen Anne Victorian, Second Empire, Renaissance Revival, Carpenter Gothic, and Greek Revival. Best location to watch the parade is at the corner of Carnation Cafe or the Market House, because lockers, restrooms, food and Fuel Rod swappable phone charges are near by.

# 131 Review for 2024 Coming here during Christmas is the best, and on another level. 5 Stars***** Main Street USA in Disneyland is truly enchanting, especially during the holidays when it transforms into a nostalgic wonderland adorned with Christmas lights. The magical atmosphere takes you back to cherished moments with family, and the sight of the iconic castle at the end of the street is simply breathtaking. Walking down Main Street feels like stepping into a timeless journey where Walt Disney's spirit still lingers. The holiday season, with its massive Christmas tree, adds an extra layer of joy and warmth. A visit to Main Street is not just a stroll; it's a heartwarming embrace of the past, present, and the enduring magic of Disneyland.

As soon as you enter Disneyland you are on Main Street USA-the famous song "i'm walking right down the middle of Main Street USA..." is a classic song for this street. Patterned after a street in Marceline, Mo where Walt Disney grew up Main Street USA features turn of the century buildings with quaint little shops and eateries. The music in this area is taken from movies such as Oklahoma and Hello Dolly to give you that nostaglic feel. It is one of the most photographed areas in Disneyland and photopass photographers are on hand to get your picture in front of some of the famous icons. As you enter the town square area after you have passed the entry under the train station, look to your left and you will see the round lamp shining above the fire house. This was Walt Disney's apartment and the lamp is kept on continually to signify his ever presence among his park. Guided tours are offered which I took (Reviewed separately), Various Main Street vehicles can take you back and forth from town square all the way up to the "hub" and back again (Reviewed separately). As you walk past the various storefronts have a look at the names in the windows above. These are people who have helped Walt Disney achieve his dream in creating the park. Yes Walt Disney is among them. You'll find his name on a door on the right hand side near the cinema. The cinema plays various cartoons and features "Steamboat Willie" in its entirety. Check out Tilly the ticket taker as you go in. Her clothes change with the seasons. As you walk through the stores on Main St you will notice for the most part the inside is all connected making it easier to get out of the sun or rain. Also check out the Welte orchestration at the very back of the penny arcade. It is the largest self playing pipe organ that plays 75 key welte roll music. You can either pay to hear it or wait about 10-15 minutes and it will crank out a tune for you on its own. The refreshment corner at the end of the street has nostalgic coca cola bottles and advertising. Look closely at the painted bulbs upon entry. You'll see one is painted half red and half white. This was to allow for the inequality of the bulbs when the park was set up. At the far end of Main St is the hub where all the wheel spokes lead you to the various lands of Disneyland. Here is the famous Walt and Mickey partners' statue and behind it the Sleeping Beauty castle. It is in this area where you must wait for them to rope drop announcing the park is open for the day. Guests of Disneyland resort get to enter certain areas 30 minutes early. The Magic Kingdom counterpart: Disneyland has the edge here. Although Main St is longer in the Magic Kingdom, the Main Street vehicles only run for one hour over there. Their cinema has been turned into a gift shop and no longer plays movies. Note that the Magic Kingdom has the utilidor system below it where Disneyland has no such system in place. Nevertheless neither one would disappoint. It is a nostalgic look at a piece of time when life was simpler and more quaint. Don't just hurry down Main St to enjoy your favorite attractions There's a lot to see and do here. Located just as you enter Disneyland.

Characters are in full force in the mornings!
Diele K.

The iconic Main Street, USA is an absolute must to take time to appreciate the details. Have you spotted Walt's apartment above the fire station where the light is always on? Noticed the glass windows above Main Street list some Disney icons. How about the two-color light bulb at Refreshment Center? There's plenty to see and explore! If you have the opportunity and funds, book Walt's Main Street Story to learn more about the beautiful, and historic Main Street, USA.

This is a project in which elementary, middle, and high school choirs and bands performed at Valencia High School in the city of Placentia, CA, in the morning, and were then invited to visit Knott's Berry Farm for fun and the award ceremony in the late afternoon. We were thrilled that both our Bishop Amat Choir and Bands took home four first-place trophies across four categories. Back to Knott's Berry Farm, this amusement park is so much fun. It is a large property, and there is so much to see, do, and enjoy a great, memorable time. On this day, when we visited the park, it was a bit crowded (but fun nonetheless) as numerous school-aged choirs and bands were there, and it was also opening day for Knotts' Soak City water park. Knotts had a promotion for ticket holders who visited both parks on the same day. The crowds were no problem whatsoever as we ALL managed to get on numerous rides, listen to music, eat ice cream, and have bartered fish tacos for dinner. The park is well-maintained, employees were all extremely friendly and helpful, and security can be seen throughout the park to ensure everyone's safety. My family and I chose to purchase standard annual passes, which were very affordable at $120.09 per pass. Interest-free monthly payments are a great option if you prefer not to pay for your season pass in one shot. Now that my family and I have annual passes with parking included, we will definitely visit often, if only to have lunch or dinner at the park.

We usually take advantage of the California resident pass, and although it limits us on the first half of the year, I've never been regretful of buying it. My husband and I are very go-go-go people, so we usually spend the extra money for Lightning Lane and it has saved our time significantly. We've gotten a good grasp on where to prioritize our passes, and we get through at least 8-10 rides in a trip. I would also take advantage of the mobile ordering system as that usually saves us a ton of time too! Luckily with the California Resident pass, we get 3-days so we usually don't fret too much if we don't get to all the rides/foods we want to, and push it off for another visit. I love how some of the festivals (LNY, Food & Wine...) can land within the pass period, so we get to experience the special foods and character costumes as well! I'm hoping to visit Disneyland during Halloween or Christmas in the future!

Very disappointed with the treatment my family received at Disneyland on May 22, 2026…read more We are Believe Key Magic Key holders and entered Disney California Adventure around 9:22 PM with no issues. All of our passes scanned successfully. Around 10:05 PM we attempted to enter Disneyland Park and suddenly my husband's pass showed "no reservation found." Instead of trying to understand the situation or properly investigate, management immediately accused us of basically forcing our way into the park. I repeatedly asked them to review scan records and cameras because we clearly scanned all passes earlier that evening. One manager, Patricia, even stated that regardless of what cameras showed, it would still somehow be our fault. The most upsetting part was how they treated us regarding our autistic 5-year-old son. I explained multiple times that our son did not understand why his father was suddenly being denied entry and separated from us. Rather than showing empathy, another manager, Laura, allegedly stated I was "using my autistic son as an excuse" and compared our situation to her own personal experience with autism. As parents, this was heartbreaking, humiliating, and completely unacceptable. We were treated with suspicion instead of compassion. My husband was eventually allowed in with a replacement pass around 11 PM, but due to parade crowding he did not reunite with us until around 11:30 PM, ruining a large portion of our evening. Disney is supposed to be a place where families feel welcome and supported. Unfortunately, this experience made us feel judged, dismissed, and discriminated against. I truly hope Disneyland reviews how this situation was handled and provides better training on guest care and sensitivity toward families with special-needs children.

I also suggest attaching your credit card to your wristband for convenience. We really enjoyed the pizza place onsite. We checked in on a Sunday and it was a bit crowded, but we managed to do it all in three hours. The kids loved the bunk bed, and my only complaint about our room is that the tub faucet leaked. The next day, we packed a bag with a change of clothes that we fit into a small locker for $12, and went back into the waterpark for a couple more hours. I recommend packing travel toiletries for a quick shower before leaving. They have plenty of showers, changing rooms, and a swimsuit dryer, but no toiletries in the waterpark bathrooms. Waterpark towels are provided and must be checked out and in or you'll be charged, so don't lose them. There's a water bottle refill station in the waterpark near the bathrooms. We didn't try many of the activities offered except for the arcade that offered packages starting at $35. Lastly, be sure to pay for parking before you leave. That was also $35. All in all, we got a deal on the room but spent more on food, drinks, games, and parking combined. My kids are 5 and 10, and they were able to go on just about everything that was open. One day was plenty of time if you don't plan on doing all of the activities.
