Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough
Monique W.

This is a hidden gem within Disneyland and it's easy to miss. The entrance is right next to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. You can walk through the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland within Fantasyland. While walking through the castle, you'll get to relive scenes from the classic movie. The current hours during the summer are the following 8:00 A.M - 7:30 P.M 10:15 P.M - 12:00 A.M It closes during the fireworks. Inspired by the film, this walkthrough features 3 dimensional displays, sounds and special effects! You'll ascend through the narrow, stone corridors of the castle. While walking through, you'll notice detailed displays of static figures, lighting, and layered effects. Scenes include moments from the movie such as Maleficent's curse, the spinning wheel, and In the final scene, Maleficent will transform into the dragon! Fun fact, guests couldn't walk through the castle's interior until 1957, two years after the Sleeping Beauty Castle opened in 1955! Disneyland also offers a virtual version of the walkthrough experience at the ground level! This is a great attraction and if you have time, you should visit it if you're in Fantasyland!

Have to do the walk through next time I'm at Disney. I've only been by to get from Main St. to Fantasyland but I know that are little areas in the castle you can actually go through. Also very beautiful lit up at night with the Christmas decorations.

Terry M.

It's changed since the last time i went through, but it's still a fun little diversion to explore when it's open. :)

Disney 100 at Sleeping Beauty Castle

Disney has always been known for its castles. A castle is featured in their logo and each resort has its own unique castle. The Sleepy Beauty Castle at Disneyland was inspired by Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany and is 77 feet tall. I was watching the "Behind the Attraction" documentary on Disney+ about the history of the park castles and learned they used a forced perspective technique to make this particular castle look bigger. The upper level was empty when Disneyland opened in 1955 and Walt Disney wanted an attraction built for that space. So this Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough was created a couple years later and opened in 1957. At the Sleepy Beauty Walkthrough, you walk through the upper part of the castle and view several dioramas from the "Sleeping Beauty" movie. The song "When You Wish Upon a Star" plays in the background. It doesn't take long to walk through this attraction and it is a nice tribute to one of Disney's longtime classic animated movies. Behind the castle is the King Arthur Carrousel and all of the Fantasyland rides. Fun fact - The Sleepy Beauty has a drawbridge has only been lowered on two occasions. Once when the park opened in 1955 and in 1983 when Fantasyland was rededicated.

I am so happy to see the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough is back! As a kid, I loved this walkthrough and watching the dioramas with the dolls and puppets, and was really sad when it closed in 2001. It wasn't until I came back to Disneyland an adult many years after its reopening in 2008 that I got to enjoy walking through the castle again. The art is absolutely gorgeous, and I love walking through the halls and feel mesmerized by the beautiful art and updated technology. It is such a beautiful and nostalgic attraction that harkens back to the olden days of Disney. The castle itself is definitely among one of the most beautiful. I love how it lights up at night, and it's absolutely magical to take pictures in front of. Definitely an iconic sight to see! It's like every princess's dream castle!

# 101 Review for 2024 ***Sleeping beauty's castle walk through is a magical journey*** Overall 5 Stars***** I have always admired Walt Disney's creation because,, the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough at Disneyland iwas a captivating journey that invited us into the heart of a classic fairy tale. The immersive experience within the iconic castle is a mesmerizing blend of artistry, storytelling, and nostalgia. As we wander through the enchanting corridors and beautifully crafted scenes, we found ourselves transported into the magical world of Princess Aurora. The attention to detail is remarkable, and the way the story unfolds throughout the walk is both engaging and magical. It's a wonderful opportunity to step into the pages of a beloved Disney story and relive the enchantment of Sleeping Beauty. For those seeking a moment of pure Disney magic, this walkthrough is an absolute must-do at the park.

When it comes to Disneyland, Sleeping Beauty's Castle is almost as iconic as Mickey Mouse. For many, it is a must photo stop. Taking a photo in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle has become a must do for so many that Disney Cast Members are ready to take pictures to add to guests' photpass. More than just a backdrop for the iconic Disneyland visit picture, many don't realize that guests can actually walk through Sleeping Beauty's Castle. If standing inside of Fantasyland, and looking at the castle, the door to enter is located to the right. Inside are vignettes from Disney's annimated Sleeping Beauty movie. The walk through is rarely busy. The experience makes for a nice break for the rest of the hustle and bustle of Fantasyland. Here are some fun facts about Sleeping Beauty's Castle. The gold finials at the top of the spires are covered in real gold leaf. The Disney coat of arms may be found on the castle. The drawbridge is actually operational, though it has only been lowered twice.

Princess Aurora and her prince

The Sleeping Beauty Castle is the icon castle of Disneyland. Still set up in a walkthrough format, you can see the some of the various scenes displayed as murals on the castle wall as you walk though it. As you exit into Fantasyland you'll see a small statue of Princess Aurora and her beloved prince. Sleeping Beauty castle is the most photographed icon in Disneyland and people wait a good while to get photo pass photographers to take pictures as well as their "magic shots." Sometimes it's easier to get someone to snap your picture and you can repay them the favor. The castle is not real big however, it conveys the lovelyness of the fairy tale as shown. Celebrating the 100th anniversary, the castle is decked out to commerate that. At nighttime projections are placed on the castle in as part of the fireworks show. It can get very crowded to see those however, if you are just looking to see the fireworks then there are other places you can go. The Magic Kingdom counterpart: Equal. The Cinderella castle is much bigger however they used "forced perspective" to make it appear that way. Last time I visited it, I noticed you could not walk through the castle from the front as Mickey and friends perform periodic shows in the castle forecourt. You can however, enter through the back and see some of the murals of the Cinderella story within the partially opened walkway. The Cinderella castle is also home to one of the most sought after character meals inside which is called "Cinderella's royal table." As you exit into Fantasyland you will see the Cinderella fountain. Disneyland keeps the simplistic charm of still being able to walk through the castle and gives you the feeling of royalty. Both castles are used in their nightly shows and are adorned for whatever season or anniversary that they are celebrating. After all it is a place where in your mind "dreams really do come true!" Located in Fantasyland in Disneyland.

After walking over the bridge to enter Sleeping Beauty's Castle is an entrance where you can do a walkthrough of the Castle. Be mindful there are a lot of stairs throughout as you go deeper into the castle and the story. I love that some of the stories have sound and animation as it makes you feel like you are immersed in the story. This is definitely a come and see once, but not an every park visit type of attraction for me.

ICONIC! LEGENDARY! It's giving, Sleeping Beauty realness but it is not slept on! Anyway, it's the castle you see in all the photos, in the middle of the park and it is GORGEOUS! It's even gorgeous now versus 10 years ago with the major face lift it got recently. At night, the projections on the castle during the 100 Years Disney Fireworks Show take this castle to another level! You can take your own photo here or you'll find Disney photographers waiting to take the best photos of you and your friends and family in the center. If you're facing the castle, I'd recommend standing in front of or sitting on the bench to the left of the castle just before you turn onto the the walkway that goes through the castle. You get a great photo of you in front of the castle without having to wait in a long line to take your photo in the center.

Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough is a really good cardio, stairway workout while reading & getting a course refresher on Sleeping Beauty.

Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough is a really good cardio, stairway workout! Located in Fantasyland in the Sleeping Beauty Castle, of course! You'll be walking up and down a couple flight of stairs while reading and getting a course refresher on the story of Sleeping Beauty, hehe! Hopefully, before you go through this attraction, you'll be able to take your photo ops in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Funny, I always thought it Cinderella's Castle, heheh, whoops, nevermind! The Castle itself is gorgeous overall - both daytime and nighttime. Of course, if you're lucky, you can catch the 9 p.m. fireworks. I was slightly bummed to have missed it (dinner reservations at Napa Rose), but there will always be next time! Sleeping Beauty Castle looks really gorgeous around Christmas time too!

Jolanta M.

I've seen a few castles in my day, BUT THIS ONE......this one right here.....Sleeping Beauty's castle is the most gorgeous one I've set my eyes on. It was a magical moment. The way the castle reflects in the channel of water around it, is one of the most beautiful things!!!!

The fairies put everyone in the castle to sleep . . .

This is a project in which elementary, middle, and high school choirs and bands performed at Valencia High School in the city of Placentia, CA, in the morning, and were then invited to visit Knott's Berry Farm for fun and the award ceremony in the late afternoon. We were thrilled that both our Bishop Amat Choir and Bands took home four first-place trophies across four categories. Back to Knott's Berry Farm, this amusement park is so much fun. It is a large property, and there is so much to see, do, and enjoy a great, memorable time. On this day, when we visited the park, it was a bit crowded (but fun nonetheless) as numerous school-aged choirs and bands were there, and it was also opening day for Knotts' Soak City water park. Knotts had a promotion for ticket holders who visited both parks on the same day. The crowds were no problem whatsoever as we ALL managed to get on numerous rides, listen to music, eat ice cream, and have bartered fish tacos for dinner. The park is well-maintained, employees were all extremely friendly and helpful, and security can be seen throughout the park to ensure everyone's safety. My family and I chose to purchase standard annual passes, which were very affordable at $120.09 per pass. Interest-free monthly payments are a great option if you prefer not to pay for your season pass in one shot. Now that my family and I have annual passes with parking included, we will definitely visit often, if only to have lunch or dinner at the park.

Use a credit card to book your room, so you can use their quick check in line. Either way, make sure you take the exact card you use to book for checking in. Before you go, buy the discounted dining deal. You can only buy it in advance, and the food and drinks are pretty pricey, so you will spend $$$. I also suggest attaching your credit card to your wristband for convenience. We really enjoyed the pizza place onsite. We checked in on a Sunday and it was a bit crowded, but we managed to do it all in three hours. The kids loved the bunk bed, and my only complaint about our room is that the tub faucet leaked. The next day, we packed a bag with a change of clothes that we fit into a small locker for $12, and went back into the waterpark for a couple more hours. I recommend packing travel toiletries for a quick shower before leaving. They have plenty of showers, changing rooms, and a swimsuit dryer, but no toiletries in the waterpark bathrooms. Waterpark towels are provided and must be checked out and in or you'll be charged, so don't lose them. There's a water bottle refill station in the waterpark near the bathrooms. We didn't try many of the activities offered except for the arcade that offered packages starting at $35. Lastly, be sure to pay for parking before you leave. That was also $35. All in all, we got a deal on the room but spent more on food, drinks, games, and parking combined. My kids are 5 and 10, and they were able to go on just about everything that was open. One day was plenty of time if you don't plan on doing all of the activities.

The issue is not necessarily that every employee was rude -- the real problem is the completely broken system and lack of communication between departments. We booked THREE rooms for 18 guests for a birthday celebration and simply wanted to reserve and pay for a place where everyone could eat lunch together and celebrate with cake. Something that should have been straightforward became an exhausting process filled with confusion, conflicting information, and endless transfers between departments. The front desk had no idea about the policies of the events department. The front desk also had no clear understanding of pool policies. Every single question required someone to "leave a note" for another department and wait for an email response that never came. No callbacks. No follow-up. No accountability. The most frustrating part was trying to contact the front desk directly. First, you are forced through an AI system. Then you finally reach someone in the "reservation department," who is not even onsite. Despite politely asking multiple times to be transferred directly to the front desk, they refused and insisted they could help. They could not. Instead, they placed me on hold supposedly to ask the front desk themselves -- and after 11 minutes on hold, they never came back. At that point, yes, the reservation department representatives themselves became part of the problem: rude, dismissive, unprofessional, poorly trained, and completely incapable of resolving even simple questions. This company has far too many unnecessary departments that clearly do not communicate or work together. Planning an important family event here became stressful instead of enjoyable. I will never host another birthday event at Great Wolf Lodge again, and I would strongly caution families against wasting their time and money here for important celebrations.
