Keep the car crowd coming; if they like it, they'll be loyal forever. Any group that spends 80% of their marriage in the garage and still buys all OEM parts has spending power! Every visit, the place is clean and staff take pride in it. Your drive-thru crew is incredible have them train in-store sometimes and maybe even spend a day navigating the tarmac in Atlanta. The way they guide cars through that drive-thru without someone running into the building or ending up in the fenced-in dog area at the gas station is pure talent. Usually, there are just a couple of other customers, each enjoying one of the 6 ways to make ice cream without calling it ice cream. Seriously look at the menu: Twisters, milkshakes, freezes, sundaes, cones, and parfaits. Never once, even in the descriptions, is "ice cream" mentioned. That's either the most brilliantly subtle move ever or someone made a bet in 5th grade never to say those words and has been 100% committed ever since. 9/10 everything's perfect inside, and the traffic off that exit is still in its early stages. But you've got to elevate your presence in the community. If they aren't turning in because of that giant half-man, half-cone, half... don't say it... don't say it... ICE CREAM!... character, then get creative with your identity. I promise, in five years you'll hear whispers in the wind that say "Grovetown." So get ready, Foster's Freeze even if you need one more grand grand reopening to make it happen. I stand behind you.

It's not inexpensive but you can certainly taste the quality. I had a scoop of bourbon salted caramel ice cream and a scoop of butterfinger ice cream. They were fantastic! My wife had a scoop of the banana pudding ice cream and a scoop of the coffee crunch. She loved them both. It's a small establishment but for a dessert after a nearby meal, this is definitely worth the effort of driving to. People were friendly and the store was clean. We'll go back whenever we are in the area.

So it wasn't a total surprise to find that they have decided to move to suburban Augusta. The new shopping center they've chosen was otherwise still under construction when I stopped in, but several groups of people had found this place and were shopping for ice cream. I imagine on a nice summer day there will be a line when word gets out. Not a lot of really top end ice cream around here, but this place knows how to infuse flavor. A more caramel and cookie creation complemented my dark and bitter chocolate. The chocolate came with Andes mints inside, which sounded nice but honestly could hardly be tasted because the flavor of the ice cream itself was so strong. Premium local ice cream isn't cheap, but here I did get a heaping portion size as I watched more flavors being created in the back of the shop.

The main entrance is along the side since it can be easily mistaken for an ordinary residential area. --Ambience-- Southern style cooking with portions that can be easily split for two or one really hungry person. If you look at movies on what southern restaurants would look like. This is a great example. --Service/Staff-- The staff was warm and friendly with their Southern charm. Recommended for their love of the cuisine. I even got some recommendations. --Products/Service-- I order the burgers and fries and stuck with the basic since you can't go wrong. I plan to come back during the holiday and order more comfort food. --Capacity-- Indoors can hold 40-50 plus people. --Overall-- Great hidden gem recommended by Aaron and I will be back for the holidays to order some comfort food.
