Our car's alternator died on a Saturday afternoon as we were driving home to Orange County, NY from…read moreBoston. Stuck on I-90, we used our roadside assistance service to call for help, and they dispatched Hampshire Towing. Dispatcher Kayla did a great job keeping us informed about the arrival of Alex, the tow operator. Based on our situation, he did the best he could to help us out. Due to the distance from our home to their shop, we decided to transport the car to Pleasant Street Auto for repair. On Monday I spoke with Steven to discuss the situation, and he was very thorough and analytical as he listened to my story leading up to the car breakdown. The shop was able to repair the car Monday afternoon and I picked it up Tuesday morning. Considering we were in a bind and at their mercy, I feel that we were treated very fairly and not taken advantage of. Walking into the office to pay the bill, I could tell that they take an interest in the concerns of their customers - even offering a box of Girl Scout cookies as a "thank you"! Having a car break down out-of-state is a difficult experience, and we're grateful to Hampshire Towing and Pleasant Street Auto for their assistance! I would highly recommend their services.

Recently recognized the need for a professional, reliable, fully equipped mechanic with a legal &…read moreestablished shop/location with or without staff. I love my mechanic friends who are trying to make ends meet, but are without some of the aforementioned. All past services are greatly appreciated. To start, I did a Google Search for auto service establishments in my area. Baldwin happened to be closest (1/2 mile away) which is a great feature as going back and forth to drop off and pick up was always a past issue. The majority of the Google reviews were favorable, as so were the Yelp reviews. I sent a message to Baldwin via both of theses sights, and within minutes Anthony Baldwin responded. Next step was to visit without being in need. Just wanted to see the place and meet this mechanic. In doing so, I met the staff and also within minutes a regular customer arrived for an oil change. At this point I will express my satisfaction that transportation is available to your home or job. Since my "exploratory visit" ( less than 1 month) my 99 GMC Sonoma PU has been to Baldwin Auto for three jobs. All were completed in a very reasonable time frame, and at reasonable cost, each visit required transportation between my home and the shop. FYI, my truck is considered in good overall condition, but based on its age and the current weather conditions ran into need of TLC. Needless to say I am telling everyone I know about this great place. God Bless Baldwin Auto. Louis.

I've been taking my Subarus to Spartan in Wilbraham for 20+ years now. I cannot imagine better…read moreservice. This go round, I took in my 2010 pzev Outback with 190,000 miles on it. Cosmetically, this car looks fabulous, but I knew when I bought it a year ago for $3,500 (!) that I would have to put some $$ into it to keep it going until 300,000 miles. (That's always my goal with my Subarus). I want to give a HUGE shout out to Cory, the mechanic who made everything right for me. We came up with a pretty good list of items that needed attention during an oil change last week- so, this week Cory worked on it for 3 entire days, attending to the suspension, the radiator, the brakes, and the exhaust. I was most impressed with the list of "extras" that Cory was able to address at no charge, which immediately takes the "sting" out of the total $$ I invested in this fix-it. You are THE MAN Cory!! Whoohooooo!! I travel A LOT, and this summer will be adding 5,000 miles to the odometer. I feel confident that my Sube will not fail me after all the attention that Cory gave to it. Thanks you Spartan, and thank you Cory!!

A good friend of the family recommended here and I always knew of the place and drove past it a zillion times but never had thought they would service any of my vehicles. As for my experience I guess I am just indifferent. I knew going in it was not going to be a fix in first try and out type of deal. Car has had some issues in the past with the check engine light and all that jazz. First trip was a cool $300 and change for replacing a part and labor. Light came back on within 40 miles and brought it back for another 9.5 hour service. All was well and was told it was driven every where except the highway, needless to say took it on the highway and yup, light came back on. It went back in and we replaced the first part, at no cost, that was aftermarket to a new part and next thing I know my car passed emissions test. Haven't fully took it all in yet, we'll see if the light pops back on or not.
