Within the last year, I have had much work done on my vehicle----all maintenance, most notably my fluids, were up to date. In addition, ten days prior to my visit to Jiffy Lube on Memorial Dr. in Chicopee, I'd had my vehicle at the dealer for a loud belt squeal. The dealer found that I was missing a bolt on the alternator, replaced the bolt, and also found I did not need a new serpentine belt. Upon visiting Jiffy Lube for a synthetic oil change (an exorbitant $125), they tried to tell me I needed a coolant change, a transmission fluid change and------a new serpentine belt! Unfortunately for them, I'd had all these recently taken care of so their recommendations were all verifiably deceptive. I followed up by contacting the corporate office and relaying this complaint-----and they doubled down on the fraud by stating they simply proceed by the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule------what kind of BS is that? The message gleaned from speaking with corporate is that fraud is corporate business policy! AND, the recommendations on the belt is to "inspect" the belt at mileage intervals, not replace. Long story short, Jiffy Lube corporate policy is to employ deception and unethical business tactics in order to gouge their customers. By the way, on the occasion of this oil change, there were corporate officers on location visiting and inspecting the business performance. The technician dealing with me came back twice with better prices to try and entice me to do the coolant change, and seemed really exasperated when I wouldn't bite. The technician attending to my daughters car tried over charging her for fluids she did not request and over-charging her for an air filter he quoted her as $25. She went on for a simple oil change and an hour later the guy tried taking advantage of her being a pretty college student. Luckily she stood her ground and called him out on his obvious attempt to exploit her. Now she has learned a valuable lesson with Jiffy Lube and has passed the word to her hundreds of friends at the local college so they will all go somewhere else because one technician tried squeezing more money out of her. Shame on you Jiffy Lube in Springfield Massachusetts. This isn't the first time JL has been caught with unethical business practices. So I originally went to the jiffy lube in east longmeadow I needed a oil change, air filter and my light bulb changed.. after 25 min they had no air filters and they couldn't change my bulb !! So the next morning I came to the one on Boston road .. let them know what happened .. he said I gotcha .. and sure enough they got my bulb switched out!!!!! I called to get an appt with other places n it would have been 3 weeks just for an appt .. What Yelp needs is a negative star rating so this review is accurate. I've finally learned my lesson and will never go here again. I got my oil changed and 2 days later a check engine light came on code was for incorrect oxygen mix ratio. I almost brought my vehicle to a mechanic and paid to have it checked but I remembered that Jiffy Lube checked my air filter so a checked and they didn't re connect a hose to air cleaner cover. Simple thing like that that they must check dozens of times a day and almost cost me extra $ to have checked.. Don't waste your time E and hard earned money at Jiffy Lube when true mechanics can do the job properly for the same if not lower price. There is no reason fir Jiffy lube to be in business except to take advantage of people that don't know any better!!!! read more

Went in for an oil change and was told that my brakes and rotors were "toast". The manager offered to call a tow truck because they were so far gone that it wasn't safe to drive away in my car. She said they could put new pads and rotors on for $488. Went to my mechanic and he said "you need new pads, rotors are fine. $120 including labor". Jiffy Lube is exactly what everyone says they are....crooks and liars. They lie about what's going on with your car and use fear tactics to upsell and make more money. Untrustworthy! I feel scammed i was told it was $89.00 and after they started and were almost done im told $171after speaking up and a "discount" , came up to $144. Ive had my car for over 4 years and have never spend more then $60 on a oil change at the dealership that includes Filter change and inspection. They did everything right even upsaled to include an air filter. But they broke a clip on the air box and didn't say a word. The woman tried to tell me that there was metal chips in my tranny fluid. But the biggest gaffaw was they returned my 2002 Toyota Highlander with 150,000 with no oil_ yes you read that right no oil at all I drove for almost 45 miles before I lost power and then added some used 5-30 so I could detect it on the dip stick. My Toyota rocks it survived Jiffy Lube!!! read more

I went here to change my oil and i felt like i was at a McDonald's drive thru. They changed my oil and screwed up the oil screw and now the oil is leaking and is all over my garage. I was also charged for repairs that i didnt even ask for. So for an oil change i paid $90. Now i have to buy a new screw because they stripped it. I do not recommend coming here because it is very poor service read more

Stopped in because I had a $20.00 off coupon. Reg. Price $77.00 so it was $57.00 with the coupon. Included synthetic oil and tire air pressure check. Once done I asked if they had checked the air pressure on the tires. Said yes they did because I knew one tire was low. They did recheck just to make sure but I did not see them do it the first time. In fairness I could have missed it but I doubt it. Called my dealership because I wanted to see how much they charged because $77.00 seemed kind of high for an oil change. Central Chevrolet was $47.00 which included a tire rotation. That's $30.00 cheaper at the dealership with better service. I guessed I learned my lesson! read more

The service has improved here but the lobby's cameras and TV are gone. You can't see what they're doing to your car, which makes me hesitant to go back. Seats in the lobby are ripped up and in need of replacing. read more

I arrived at 2:30pm behind a car already in the shop. I was then kindly greeted and guided to their lobby where there's cameras to see what they're doing on your car, coffee, bathroom, magazines, news playing on tv, and courtesy waters in a mini fridge. I was called in 30 minutes later after oil change was about done to check pricing, was recommended various changes, some of which I took. I wish they would go slower and explain more when it comes to all these things they're telling me my car needs, I always feel so rushed at these places and have to make a quick decision that may or may not be necessary at the time for my car. The integrity was a bit shaky when I asked the time it would take to change my alternator belt and one guy said 30 minutes and another guy came buy to give a time estimate and the first guy quickly whispered "30 minutes" so he gave me the same estimate. Took 45 minutes total, no big deal. Overall good service. Was out at about 3:50, 1 hour and 20 minute total when all was said and done. Btw a bit expensive for an oil change ($45), but if you have a smart phone you can find a $5-10 discount online. Also if you have triple A you can get a 10% discount. read more

Some serious efficiency issues need to be addressed at this location. 2 cars were in front of us in the stall we pulled up in. It took 45 minutes before they pulled our car in. They said at the beginning it takes 15 minutes per car, which seems a bit long in the first place to pull a plug, screw in a filter, and add some quick services on top to make you feel better about spending $40 for something that would cost you about $18 to do at home. After we noticed how long it was taking them to finish each car, I started timing to see how long it took the staff to roll a new car in each time they rolled one out. It took over 5 minutes to pull the next car in after pulling out a finished car. That's inexcusable, especially for the 6+ employees I counted. The owner of this location should consider implementing efficiency training and should pay an incentive when certain thresholds are passed. Too much standing around was observed for me to believe such an incentive is in place now. Won't be coming back. read more

I had avoided Jiffy Lube in the past because it always seemed like they were pushing sales of something more for my vehicle. That was not the case here. Went in for the promotional 24.00 oil change and left with a bill of 80.00 .. bunch of scammers .. they told my boyfriend my car didn't take conventional oil .. but that's the oil my Toyota dealership told me I used! That's what I have been putting in my car for months.. but now all of a sudden I use full synthetic oil in my car.. oh and let me not forget to mention how sloppy the paper work was .. they wrote the wrong mileage on the paper work for my car adding 500+ more miles to my car .. which makes me wonder what else they messed up on... they did not offer my boyfriend tire rotations for my vehicle and they check a bunch of unnecessary items on my vehicle that included wiping my windshield .. not complaining or anything but I've never had anyone wipe my windshield for an oil change saying that it was included with my oil change..where was my tire rotation? I went into Jiffy Lube and my coolant sign indicator was in the middle between H/C. After I left I was driving and I notice my coolant sign indicator was almost/ practically to the H line. I call my father and he told me to shut-off my vehicle immediately,because my engine can overheat and get destroyed. He sent a mechanic to me and I had no coolant in my vehicle! When looking over at the receipt; it said coolant full, but it obviously it wasn't. I called the Jiffy Lube the next day and told them the situation and they said there boss was not in and that they'll investigate and get back to me! No one has contacted me as of yet! I'm still waiting.... I've been warned numerous times about Jiffy Lube and there quality of service and have been in dangerous situations when Jiffy Lube has serviced someone's vehicle, but I always said; I have never had a problem with them and I'm given them reasonable doubt! I regret my decision of going to your establishment! I am now when of the naysayers and will warn anyone not to go to Jiffy Lube, because there care and quality of service is dangerous and unacceptable! I have lots of medical issues and I depend on my vehicle for life sustaining treatments and to have my vehicle almost destroyed ( still watching to see if there anymore problems with my vehicle) is inexcusable!
