While in a party of roughly 40 our table of two was totally ignored never asked if we wanted drinks, or food for over 1hr 45 min. Luckily my kid was with a larger table so she was able to order. The servers came and sat drinks on the table right next to us still with no interaction with us, we served ourselves water , they brought out menus and didn't offer us one and at that point I just figured we weren't welcomed. Went to Main St. Pub in Vicksburg had a great time with the grandkids. Extensive kids menu. There was a large group of 20 ordering outside when we walked in, so we went inside to eat. Ordered quick so we could get our food faster. It worked! Service was great and kids eat free on Sunday and Monday. Everyone was happy with the food. read more

We came here for a 4th of July lunch at it was great! It was very busy but the servers were working very hard to make sure everyone was being helped in a timely matter. I ordered the Cougar Wrap with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. The wrap was filled with chicken tenders and house made BBQ sauce, and the sweet potato fries were nice and crispy! Met a couple friends for hear for lunch. We where seated right away. We watched three tables around us seated and drinks served after us. After waited 25 minutes or so, a fourth table next to us was seated and drink order taken, we left! There where two watresses in the room but we never even got a glass of water! Did we stink? Now I love Main Street, in fact my whole family does, the Vicksburg one, not so much! The waitresses are down right rude, they act as if you are on THEIR time, constantly on their phones. Pissy attitudes and a constant chip on their shoulders.... The place is pretty gross, very unsanitary and so bad me .... a photographer didn't even take photos, I didn't even care to. My kids were super uncomfortable because the owner, I believe his name was mike? Stomped around the place with the worst attitude ever, no wonder his workers are like this? Do not, I repeat, do not eat at this Main Street. My husband and I ordered carry out. He got the Maui chicken sandwich and I ordered the Bronco burger (WELL done). He brought our food home and it was all cold. And my bronco burger (cheddar cheese, bbq sauce and haystack onions) was not right. They actually gave me a Cabo burger (pepper Jack cheese, chipotle ranch and avocado) although even that burger didn't have the avocado on it and it was RAW! Main Street Pubs are so touch and go. Sometimes, it's great, other times, not so much. The Mattawan restaurant seems to be the most consistent. We stopped in Vicksburg to grab a bite, hadn't been there in a couple of years. We were waited on quickly, and all staff was very friendly. However, the food service was horribly slow. Customers were constantly looking around, looking at each other, rolling their eyes and looking at their watches. For some reason, all staff, including the manager, didn't see a problem. If you are short staffed in the kitchen, or just behind, please tell people. A simple, " so sorry about the wait, your order will be out soon," is very helpful. Our burger and club sandwich were good. The fries were a bit greasy. I really wish 1) they would bring back baked potatoes (how hard is it to bake a potato?) 2) they had better onion rings 3) they would not gross out customers by using ketchup bottles that have been refilled so often that the labels are actually missing. Had lunch at Main St today. I know they say what you don't know won't hurt you, but I do know now. Sat there and watched 3 servers fold silverware in napkins. They were using their bare hands and grabbing each piece by the end of the forks and knives that we eat from. Who knows if their hands were clean or not. It just grossed me out. Thank goodness I got a burger so I didn't need silverware. Why can't they wash with the eating side down in the baskets so they grab the end we don't eat from? read more

This is a decent meal at a decent price. There's nothing exotic but if you enjoy a good meal in a clean restaurant then this is a good spot. Many of the menu items are middle of the road with no surprises.There are a range of club sandwiches and sandwich melts. Though I have noticed the menu seems to have evolved with healthier choices including an array of salads with romaine lettuce and anything from grilled chicken to avocado. Way to go! I'm happy to see the diversity in choice and a nice blend of mainstream choices. This is and always has been a popular destination for family dining or having a beer with your friends. read more

Yikes, Ive lived in the burg my entire life and i used to frequent this place when it was Sports Page. Moe and Deb would cry if they could see what the place they once loved has become. I stopped in on a Monday afternoon and there were a few bar flies and only 2 other tables besides me. the wait staff seemed pre occupied and the service was less than pleasant. i sat with an empty glass for longer than i like but then the owner? manager? named mike brought me a refill. although he brought me a diet and not a regular but i guess i can over look that. what i cant over look is him ranting loudly for all to hear about a yelp review that "must be fake" it was unprofessional and embarrassing. im assuming it was less than favorable but given my experience it was probably accurate. the staff were slow and rude, but the manger was verbally abusive so i assume thats why they are less than good at their job. my food was meh. it was just gordons food thrown on a plate with no thought for the person that was going to eat it. the prices were high considering the quality of the food. this place is an embarrassment to Vicksburg, save your money and go down to the hide a way where Scot and his crew will treat you like family and you get great food at a great price read more

The owner brought me a drink refill and was so nice to my kids! ( kids eat free on Monday!!). The kids are even excited to return ! Main Street Pub did a nice job with a reception in their back room for family after a local funeral. They also did a nice job with a class reunion reception a few years earlier. This is not a fancy place, it's just a solid pub with good (not great) pub food. Nothing really to complain about for me. It's A-OK, and I wouldn't hesitate to stop back in in the future. Waited 20 min to be served and the girl Kyler made my drink and it was bad. No taste of alcohol. It was supposed to be half alcohol! I went there with my daughter and grandchildren and just wasn't very impressed. The service was slow and for whatever reason they served the kids there meal 10-15 minutes before us. So then they are done eating and restless while the adults are trying to eat. The service overall was slow. On the plus side they had free snacks on Friday and it was clean. read more

Finally tried the local pub. We came for dinner/burgers on a Wednesday night - plenty of seating available. The pickle fries appetizer was actually really good - best fried pickles we've had. The burgers were, unfortunately, terrible. The patties are thick but they tasted like charred meat and even though we got one bleu cheese and one Gouda burger- it was so over powering you couldn't taste the toppings. Service was ok - our waitress seemed busy or forgot about us but whoever helped her out was attentive. Too, we were noticed right away when we walked in -which was nice because I never know if you seat yourself the first time you try someplace new! We'll give it another try in the future but we don't eat out much so we'll go other places first (and avoid the burgers). read more

Restaurant was no where near full, there were several servers on staff, multiple bar tenders and managers as well. Nothing to justify how slow everything was. Food tasted good, not amazing but I was just glad it came out warm, although my chicken fajitas were lacking in the chicken department. Haven't eaten here in about 3 years. Now I remember why. Ordered the Friday Cod special for $8.99. I received 1 piece of fish that the actual fish inside the breading was about 2" long and 1" wide. Approximately 2 bites of fish. The breading was about twice the amount of the morsel of fish. So for $8.99 I received a small cup of coleslaw two bites of fish with a disgusting batter surrounding it and a plate of fries. My advise to anyone considering eating here is don't. read more

My family and I have been to Main St Pub 4 times since we moved to Vicksburg last September and each time we keep hoping it will get better. The service is always slow, even when they're not busy and they're waitstaff isn't always the friendliest! We went this past weekend around 6:30pm and didn't leave until 9:30pm. The food is ok, depending on what you get, in my experience the sandwiches and burgers are more their thing, my husband ordered the steak and didn't like it. He likes their fried shrimp platter however. I ordered the kabobs my first time, they were just ok. I wouldn't recommend them. I ordered the ranch chicken sandwich with bacon and jack cheese twice, it's pretty good. Had one of their burgers once, the patty was just ok, the toppings helped make it better. I've had better burgers at cheaper prices. My daughter didn't like something on her plate, when we went this past weekend and the waitress offered her some applesauce instead and she never came back with it, it was like a whole hour before we left, after she was offered it and not once did the waitress come check up on us or bring us the applesauce. My husband had to ask one of the other waitresses politely if she would get our waitress for us once, after waiting for quite some time for the bill. As I was waking out the door with my daughter to take her for a walk while my hubby waited for the bill, our waitress was just standing around talking with friends at the bar and didn't say have a nice day or anything. She didn't seem to care much about her job at all. I went with a friend for lunch on a Saturday and that was the only time we've ever had good service and the food was good. Maybe lunch time is better? Either way, this place seems to be a hit or miss and I'd rather eat somewhere else, unless I'm craving a wrap or sandwich. read more

Food is way overpriced and ridiculous extra charges, like, when you order Nachos they charge for sour cream.. .shouldn't that come with? and if you order a side salad, (don't it is tiny and old), if you wanted Caesar they charge an extra buck for romaine lettuce and then give you oil for your Caesar dressing, and no croutons! The burgers--yuck.. they charge you $9.00 but give you what tastes like worse than a $1.00 burger full of filler and no taste. The nachos--don't do it.. I think we have food poisoning and I'm not kidding, sick stomach just from the couple bites before we sent it away because the meat tasted old and saved and re-used and kinda mothy. We frequent this Main St. because it is so close to our house and their food is consistent (good). BUT...we recently started driving to the one in Portage because the staff is very unprofessional. Last time we walked in there were 5 or so staff members sitting at the bar talking. Not one turned around to greet us. That was the first time we saw employees sitting down at the bar but definitely not the first time we heard them talking loudly and very inappropriately to each other. We've learned many an interesting thing about the staff at Main St. What was her name? Destiny? Something like that...called in the last time we were in - said that her dog or her boyfriends dog was in a fight? Somebody got bit? And how ridiculous of her to call in since she hadn't been working there long. At least that story didn't have swear words that accompanied it. We bring our 10 year old son in with us. So when we hear "shit" or "damn" or the f* bomb drop...we aren't very pleased. We tried to avoid such stories by sitting in the "family dining" area the next time we were in but two waitresses took it upon themselves to come into that area to have a discussion about an employee who was pulled over for drunk driving. I think you get it. Maybe if your managers weren't joining in and your staff was professional and productive your restaurant wouldn't be floundering...yup, heard THAT too. read more

Food is not gourmet, but compares well with chains in this space (Chili's, Applebees). The highlight of our one meal there was a try at a special nacho creation the manager came up with. It wasn't cheese on top it was cheese whiz. My bad, I thought there was a difference and wouldn't have needed to ask which it came with, so that was my fault. But when we where half way through, the manager came to ask how we liked it and bragged that it was his creation. I ordered a take out pasta dish that was listed as a special for that day. It was awful, probably the worst meal I have ever gotten from a restaurant. The chicken was a dry slab that looked like a frozen cutlet, very overcooked, difficult to chew and tasteless but that wasn't the worst part. I couldn't eat the pasta because it was very greasy. I decided to drain the pasta and let the "sauce" sit on the counter. The next day I measured over 1/4 cup of fat. I wasted $8.00. Hope you don't. read more

Horrible Restaurant! Poorly run with an extremely lazy staff. (The other main street pubs are not like this one!) We have given them 3 chances now and we were hoping that this time would be different (living out in the country you hope the closest place around will get better). The past times we have been there the staff is so lazy you have to go find them if you need anything and even then they have an attitude about it. Tonight we ordered some burgers (easy right?) mine was so badly burned/charred it was crispy and not edible -although at first I tried to be a good sport about it. (Later the people next to us complained of the same problem) We had to go to find our waitress, and the manager at the bar was not helpful (I'm still deciding on whether or not to put the picture we took of her taking a nap on the bar instead of; helping others, cleaning, taking care of the two customers that received burned food -that she knew about). My husband had to repeat "please find my waitress" to her 2 times...because the first time all he got was a dirty look. Our waitress was very nice about it and apologized about the food. Go to any of the other restaurants in town if you want to receive good service and food. The Vault has great food (great soups and sandwiches) as well at Yogi's (American cuisine). You wouldn't think getting a juicy burger and decent service would be so hard to come by, but apparently we are asking too much. 3 strikes and you are out Vicksburg Main Street Pub! read more
