I ordered the all you can eat fish with baked potato and fried pickles. The fish was over cooked and tasted burnt however it was still soggy, I'm pretty sure the fish was refried after sitting out to long and getting cold. The fried pickles where breading on mush. Waitress refilled my glass once and had to be asked twice for butter and sour cream for a baked potato, she was to busy texting on her cell phone to do her job. I came here the other night and service was spectacular! Our servers name was Sarah and she was so great. Not only was she an excellent server but I enjoyed chatting with her. I have eaten and drank here for years and always been happy. The food is delicious and the drinks are reasonable. They have a couple pool tables and dart boards and the place is usually pretty busy. The drinks are decently strong and the service is friendly and prompt. They have a decent variety of food and I have eaten there for lunch, dinner and a late night meal with drinks. A good place to go for food and drinks. Even a family would be fine if it was early enough in the day. read more

The worst experience I've had at a Main Street Pub. Literally had to ask for a kids menu after 5 mins. The host took our drink order, but our waiter finally comes with water and my son's milk after 10 mins. He takes our order and it takes 45 mins for our food to come out. Throughout the wait, I've had my Long Island sent back because it was made wrong. I tasted like coke and triple sec, thats it! The "manager" comes back with the better Long island after he said he tasted the other one and it seemed ok. He exclaimed that they put a little more in it to make sure. So i take a sip and it still tastes like coke. Mind you another waitress (not our waiter) is saying the bartenders have been doing that lately. So we are trying to get our waiter's attention for 10 mins. He looks directly at us and walks the other direction. So finally we decide to just go up to have the drink taken off. At this time the food is coming out. Everything but my son's food is all wrong. At this time im already annoyed it's been an hour to get our food and then for it all be wrong. I kindly tell the waiter just take everything away including the Long island. It takes another 15mins for them to correct the bill. The sleasy manager comes back saying he can't take the Long island off, after its made. Claiming it can be fixed but not discounted. I said " You're saying i have to pay for something that was made wrong, twice?" He then tried to question how long we had been there. Saying it hadn't been as long as we said, until he looked at the receipt and then got quiet. Needless to say we paid for the kids meal and left. read more

Management needs to do something about the kitchens portion consistency. I order last week from here the chef salad and my fiancé got the bronco burger. Both were delicious and good portions. The salad was packed. This time, I got the greek salad and it was just lettuce, chicken, and olive.... no feta is in sight. Pretty disappointed. As for the soup, it's literally only half of the small cup they give you. What is that about? I'm so unsure about ordering from here again because it just feels like the luck of the draw now. read more

This is a great restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. I ordered pun tater tots which are cheese, potatoes, and scallions rolled into a ball and deep fried. VERY good. I got mine and they were a little burnt and the waitress took it back immediately and gave me a brand new batch which was very nice of her. The manager then came by the table to make sure that they were a good batch. They really make sure that their customers are happy. I also got an avocado cob salad and it was DELICIOUS and very pretty. The chicken was especially good. Our waitress was amazing and she checked in with us frequently and she was very efficient. I recently hosted a Bridal Shower at Main Street Pub on West Main in Kalamazoo and I was very happy with the service. I reserved their private room and it was the perfect size for the event. The managerial staff were excellent and helped me plan the menu and accommodations. The waiter we had that day was awesome and met all our needs. Of course the food was great and received rave reviews from my guest. It was exactly what I wanted and all within a reasonable price. If you are looking for space for a small gathering with great food this is it! I cannot thank the staff enough it was great! read more

Nice atmosphere. Great service. Bad food. It's not the cooks fault at all. The cooks prepared what they had to work with as best as they possibly could. This is the only restaurant I have ever been to where I ordered a side of guacamole and they served up the green chemical paste and not real guacamole. I couldn't believe it. Don't put guacamole on the menu if your going to serve up this garbage. I paid good money for chicken fajitas......for a low budget burger joint I can understand. But they have nachos and fajitas and Mexican food on the menu and i get the non avocado green sludge your going to market as guacamole and have menu prices thinking I'm going to get quality food? Was gross. Super low budget ingredients abound. If you want to grab a beer and watch a game this place is okay just don't order any food from this establishment. I tipped the server 30% as usual it isn't her fault. Never going to go to this place ever again. One star food. Zero star food actually. read more

Decided to get dinner on a Tuesday night. MSP seemed easy. Close to home. Usually decent food. Avocado Cobb was delicious. Ordered chicken dingers. Basically pieces of chicken sauced up. They were good but kind of chewed a little different. Second to last piece I knew something was wrong. Had to spit it out. Yep, it was raw. Cut up the last piece a d very raw. Gosh dang it. Called over the "manager" Hanna. She appropriately told me she would take off the bill. Then she explains she would make note in some log a d if I experienced any issues to contact them I assured her that she would certainly be hearing from me if I had issues. Then she says, next time, that I should say something right away. To which my reply was, "You're putting this on me?" And I said next time don't serve raw chicken. She quickly walked away. The poor waitress, who was wonderful, was left listening to me rank. My complaining went from raw chicken to how the manager seemed to imply it was my fault for eating raw chicken, more then it was their fault for serving it. I'm way more PO'd about what the manager said then the raw chicken. Anyway, I'll talk to the regional manager tomorrow. I won't expect much but it will make me feel better. I'm probably done with MSP for a while. read more

So I've tried Main St. a few times and it wasn't great last time and not great this one either. My boyfriends order was wrong before they even brought it out to us and we were crunched for time having to wait an extra 20 mins for them to remake his food. We had to ask for a box and the check to go right away. Mac and cheese says it comes with bread crumbs and scallions on it but I got two slices of bread and that's it lol there was also Italian sausage in it too??? That wasn't in the description. Ordered mozz sticks and pickle fries and got three mozz sticks and probably 20 fries. Sorry guys I won't be coming back. read more

My mom suggested this place since my mom and dad used to go here quite a bit (dad has been gone since 2003). Our waitress Jacqueline was excellent! She was so sweet and was really put in a very uncomfortable position by her boss and she handled it with grace! We received our orders quickly (I was surprised how quickly) and everything was fine besides my burger. I ordered my burger medium. When I received it it was raw. I told the waitress about it and she said she would take care of it. In a few minutes the manager came and said he had steamed my burger and it is fully cooked now. Before he left, I broke open the burger and it was still bloody! At this point the manager said he would take it back and cook it a third time. I could not believe my ears! Have you ever tasted a burger cooked 3 times? I just told him to take it away and I would share my moms nachos. Pretty pathetic for a manager to walk away after hearing that and not try to even make things right. I've never been to a place before where they didn't just offer a fresh burger or an alternative! Consistently bad, overly salty food. Really nothing redeeming about the place other than plentiful TV's and cold beer.

The food is not even that good, stingy on portions, the price is outragous. The only reason to even bother going there is for the fact it's down the street from where I live and I can't figure a better place to go drinking. Then again, Applebees is even better for that. I can't stand Main St. Pub, the only reason I give this garbage 2 stars is that it's down the road and I go there with friends for drinks as it's close by. Wish other bars were closer. We called in an order of Nacho supreme (2 small orders) and an order of onion rings, a bacon cheese burger and fries. The nachos had been put together THEN either put in an oven or under a flame broil to THEN heat it up. The tips of the nachos were burnt, the Hamburg on them was SO dried out that it was HARD!! VERY DRY!! NASTY!! Someone on their review said " if your order isn't right you can send it back and they will make it right." Who wants to drive all the way across town to return their order(s) to have them made right? My Grandson wanted to eat his bacon cheese burger and didn't want to wait to eat it when it was cold? WON'T be returning!!! I bet the people who were eating in didn't get theirs burnt and dry! read more

I am very sad to say that we just had our worst experience with a waitress, not only at your restaurant but worst experience we have ever had. Our waitress (mikelah s) was rude, pushed our check on us twice when she visited the table and made us feel like we were a bother. She hardly looked at us when she brought ketchup back for fries as if she couldn't believe we would ask for such a thing. We had many other friendly faces greet us, bring our drinks and our food so I don't understand her annoyance with us. We are pretty easy to please...two adults and a well behaved 5 year old. As born and raised residents of Kalamazoo, we have been coming to your establishment for over 20 plus years and I'm afraid to say I don't think I will be returning. Our entire family also regularly visit your restaurant and know the family owners. This is very disappointing and upsetting to me. I don't feel that anyone who comes to enjoy a meal with family should be made to feel unwelcome. read more
