Good deals here. They have a lot of specials throughout the week that make it a great place to be whenever.

I came in on a Friday night with my friend for a late dinner. We were seated right away, and the reaturant followed COVID-19 requirements by requiring guests to wear masks in the reaturant and tables were spaced 6-feet apart. Our waitress was very helpful, she recommended the Sunrise Burger with mayo. The burger was amazing and had so many flavors in one. I highly recommend this pub and will be back for more! read more

Thursday's special was the Turkey Dinner. One of the best meals I've had. You could taste the real butter in the potatoes. Service was good and drinks made properly. read more

Main St Pub - Turkey Dinner...amazing!! It was a Thursday special. - Pubs Near Me - Kalamazoo, Michigan

Worst chicken tenders ever. It's like chewing on an old leather boot. Overcooked and cold, the only thing good about this was their ranch dressing for dipping because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to swallow this atrocity. read more

I know it's still COVID but if we call and they say their kitchen is open until midnight and we drive across town to go there and walk-in in at 11:15 and the first thing the hostess says is their kitchen is closed.... I dunno that's a very poor system of communication. I worked at one of the Main Streets for a few training shifts, I got hired with facial hair and the first time I meet the GM, he didn't even introduce himself (all he said is that I had to shave my facial hair). This seems to be a theme with their restaurants..... Also their food sucks anyway, screw them and their owners, inconsistent nonsense. read more

Previously I tried to eat here but found it way too noisy. This time still noisy but stayed out of the bar. I know restaurants are facing staffing problems so I'll refrain from a critique on the new waitress whose could stop saying 'awesome' so much. I'm sure she'll get better if she just hangs in there. The BLT was mediocre and I'm being kind. Was there really avocado on there as touted on the over descriptive menu. Potato chips were terrible - don't they just come out of a bag? And they do something I've seen at other restaurants: no prices on the drink menu. Specifically beer turned out to be a real problem; just a list of bottled beer brands. Turns out some were on draft and 2 different sizes. The staff had familiarity with beers or prices. guess that's why they have those handy little electeonic devices. New waitress messed up each of our checks. They were corrected but each of us received change rounded up to the next bill - no coins in the till? Odd. Experience was not awesome... read more

First timer & live less than 5 miles away. I'm a transplant from GR with so many places new to me that it was never top on my list. Memorial Day had limited options so we gave it a shot. I have NO negative comments for this place. First the service was superb, attentive wait staff, manager checking in now & again as well as perfect timing for drinks, food & check. They had a couple of good IPA's on draft which for us is a must. The menu could not have been better as well as you don't have to break the bank for a meal. The portions are large so we went away with a couple more meals (nachos & wanton flatbread). We could have ordered one for my Mr & I and had plenty. I highly recommend this place and we will be back. Great Job! read more

We were pretty disappointed today. First, no straws. With covid I would have felt safer drinking from a straw than their glasses. This needs to change or we are not going back. Second, the waitress needs some training. Instead of walking around and serving everyone individually she passed my friends plate right by my nose. Very unprofessional. Third, there was much confusion as to where we were to be seated. The hostess should have taken us to our seat rather than pointing and saying over there. Also, the booths were not every other one, honoring 6 feet social distancing. Lastly, i ordered the potato skins, without olives, and it came loaded with olives, yuck. Since she didn't check with us to see how our food was I just picked them out. These skins were not the greatest. Also, she asked me if I wanted sour cream or ranch dressing and I said both so was charged $.59 for the sour cream. REALLY? Not sure we are going back and this is sad as we have loved Main St Pub here and on Westnedge for years. read more

I brought my kids here for lunch. There is a very reasonably priced kids menu that includes a sundae. The staff was very friendly and treated my children with kindness. They offer a fish/lent menu. Also, I'll be back to try the black bean burger. Generous portions, daily specials, and lots of options. read more

Really love the fact that they have deals during the week. One in particular is that .75 cent wings that pulled us in. So those are only available in orders of five. Which is fair, plus you want to make sure you actually have enough food to eat. So we got some of those, a gyro, and a few sides to for ourselves. The drink that we'd ordered from the bar had something floating in it. They were very nice to take it back for us. But after seeing whatever it was, we just said no on drinking for the night. When we got the food, it was a bit on the chilly side, and that confused us. The food was steaming a bit when we got it. My potato skins were burned at the bottom. Which I did let them know, because it was nearly inedible. Some of the wings were undone as well. Not sure if they are cooked with a timer or not, but they definitely needed a bit more time. That aside, our service was nice and the rest of the food was great. read more

The Main Street Pub is a nice place to eat and watch sports on TV. However, if you are looking for a place to socialize with a friend, don't go here. You won't here them talk. The food is good, not exceptional. The Firestick appetizer is too much spicy. It never lets up. Just hot all the time and not much flavor. In September 2018, I ordered chips and salsa. When I was halfway through, my chip encountered an obstruction just below the surface. Mixed in with the salsa was the end of an errant hot dog bun or dinner roll. The manager said, "Sorry" and took it to the back. I never saw him again. I paid my check and left. I thought that was an underwhelming response to a totally gross situation. So, MPS is not my favorite place to dine. read more

my server Kimberly m was so sweet serving me and my little sister (: I haven't had that nice of a server in a long time

Main St. Pub is usually a staple stop when coming to Kalamazoo. Growing up in the area it's a common place known to many. The menu is varied and the pricing is very reasonable! Staff changes and so does service which is expected of any place but the vibes are always good and good food is always great! read more

My husband and I came here for dinner. I got the hornet wrap, and he got the tailgate wrap. It came out quickly. My food was cold at first, but our sever gave us excellent service and made sure I was satisfied and got it fixed for me. Brandon was attentive and quick, and made sure our needs were met. He did an excellent job when it came to customer service! We didn't get stuck with our dirty plates, he checked in on our food, and was an overall a joy. Thanks, Brandon! read more

Had good service. Ordered Lake perch. Way over done . Looked more size of minnows. Manager came over I informed him of poor perch. His explanation of this it was overcooked. PLEASE READ THIS! We have been coming here for years. The staff are very nice, and the food is above average, large portions, reasonable prices. However, recently my daughter and I were having lunch here, and the staff went way beyond the call of duty. We were seated near an older couple, and the woman all of a sudden exclaimed loudly, "I need help over here." She had been sick. The staff rushed over, assisted her to the ladies' room, then came back to clean up. They were extremely polite and helpful to her, no admonitions. Also, 3 members of the staff came over to apologize to US for the commotion. We learned the couple were "regulars," and that the woman had some problems. My daughter and I were extremely impressed with how the whole incident was handled, and the professional way all the staff acted. They treated the couple with dignity and kindness. I won't forget this. Not every restaurant would have handled such an incident as well. Bravo, Main Street. read more

Server forgot our appetizer. When we mentioned it, she apologized and offered to buy "us" dessert. I'm not stupid; she isn't buying us anything. It's on the restaurant. When "we" (there are four of us) ordered dessert she clarified that she would buy one dessert. Little bait and switch there. I cancelled mine. Currently watching my kids eat dessert. We've been coming to MSP for decades, literally. I've been soured a little by this experience. read more

Would be a 4 star for the following reasons: Great bar food. Does sandwiches, burgers and salads well. Good beer selection. Burgers are fresh and cooked to order. Does take out as well. Reasonably priced, with attentive servers. But I can't give Main Street 4 stars, and I hesitate to give 3 stars because of a bad experience. Being in town for a family event, I did not realize that there were multiple locations. I called in a large take out order on the location that Siri pulled up for me on my iPhone. I arrived at the W Main Street location and asked about my order. Immediately, the server at hostess station questioned, "are you sure you called us? people do it all the time," and then asked for the phone number that i had called. She began laughing and explained in a mocking manner that we needed to go to the location on S. Westnedge and that "it would take forever to get there". Something about her manner rubbed me the wrong way and I question her sincerity when I had asked for directions for the other location. Good thing I checked my phone again, b/c she gave me the wrong location! If I hadn't checked, we would've driven again in the wrong direction. YES, it was my initial mistake, but the server made an even bigger mistake! I almost wonder if she hasn't done that purposely before just for a laugh. read more

Great little hole in the wall restaurant. Dip sandwich is good. Buffalo chicken flatbread has A LOT of onions and also pepperchinos just know that going in. Hawaiian BBQ wrap is a nice blend of spice and sweet. The fries are nice and airy with a good crunch on the outside. Most of all beer glasses are frosty and the beer is cold. Miller lite is $3.25 for 20oz. Service is good. read more

I came here with my boyfriend April 23, 2019. The manager accused me of having a fake id. I'm from Arizona where they don't expire. Their tuna melt on rye is great. Last time there I had the French Dip with the added onions and mushrooms. So good I didn't even need the dip. I only had the half sandwich and it was plenty. There is nothing better than finding a hole-in-the-wall bar with an aspiring chef doing some great things. Main Street isn't exactly that. It has an experimental chef, but the line can't get it right. I've had the specials a lot of times and they're always over-cooked even when they sound amazing. The traditional bar-stuff, with the exception of their pretzel-bites, isn't notable. Just par. The atmosphere is good. It's got a very nice neighborhood bar feeling to it, and it's a cool place to catch a game if you live in Westwood and don't feel like driving, but the drinks are overpriced and the food is not bad, but forgettable. With Big Deals out of business and The Hanger exclusively for bitchy old men, Main Street is THE Westwood bar, but it leaves a lot to be desired. Friday and Saturday nights are a bit tame by our standards (My fiance and I are 27 and 29 so we like to get a little wild but not frat-party/dance-club wild.) The price of drinks lends itself to a slightly more mature crowd. Main Street is sort of stuck in the middle of a foodie secret and a cool dive, but doesn't get enough points in either category. It's not a bad place though, and I've had some serious fun there. The staff is very friendly (maybe overly-friendly since they welcome me to Main Street every time I walk back in from a cigarette.) The bar section has good seating placement, and if you're some jerk with a family they have a front room for your bullshit far away from drunken loudmouths. If they didn't gouge for drinks they'd be one of the best little secrets in Kalamazoo. Ultimately you need to be a high-volume get-laid party bar or a low-class cheap-ass chillin' bar. Main Street is lukewarm. It's a little business and a little rock and roll. ...so it has a mullet. Best option in Westwood, but Downtown is just cab-ride away. And when Shock Top costs 3.99 on special, you might as well take the cab. read more

Had not been here in years, and now I remember why.....POOR, POOR service. My husband asked the waitress what local craft beers they had on tap and she was like, "um, PBR and something peach" Should have left at that point - this girl hit every stereotype of dumb blondes, and I don't like to stereotype. My husbands B & B burger was good, which got them 2 stars. Both our fries were nasty, and my half Reuben was in need of mustard, or some type of dressing. Bill was wrong - and did I say the service was really bad? read more

I have not yet found a thing in the menu I don't like. In addition to great food, the prices are cheap plus kids eat free on sundays. Service is usually fast and we've rarely had an issue. This used to be a great bar, put high prices and slipping food quality make them one of the worst main street pubs out there.

Saw a guy's chair collapse. Manager treated him like crap!

I am a frequent guest at Main Street Pub West Main. The last time I was in I had an amazing experience. The server was at the table within seconds and I was very impressed with the service throughout the entire time I was there. The managers Kat and Alan that were working constantly came up to our table to check on us and ensure that we always had full drinks and were doing okay. The managers and staff made it a very welcoming experience and it really makes me want to come back to this establishment read more

I like what this bar has to offer but the fact that management aka "Andrew" tries to accommodate to his friends to be "popular" is just annoying. He didn't accommodate to customer service at all, and just sat there drinking with his "friends" and didn't even try to manage what was going on in the bar. I'm sorry that such a great bar has horrible people running it. I deal with customer service all the time so it makes me angry to see customer service, especially coming from a manger that is suppose to run to business like this. read more
