I live out of state and couldn't be there, so this was something meaningful I wanted to do for her. I also couldn't really afford to spend that much right now, but it felt important. When my family sent me a photo, I was honestly surprised at how small the arrangement was compared to what's shown on their website. The flowers themselves were nice, but the size and overall value didn't match what I expected for $100. This ended up being the last time I was able to send my grandma flowers before she passed. I reached out and the only resolution they offered was 15% off a future order. Given the situation, that didn't feel like a meaningful resolution. Spend more money in the future to be disappointed again. I gave them a chance to make it right, but unfortunately they didn't.

Usually my mother in law spends Mother's Day with her "girls". When my wife was talking with her mom on Saturday, she found out something fell through and she wouldn't be spending time with the "girls" on Sunday. So we came up with a quick plan. To start our plan, we needed to get flowers. Being kind of stubborn, I said we are not getting mama flowers from some grocery store. So as we continued to find that each flower shop that we looked at was either closed on Sunday or opened late on Sunday, the grocery store option was becoming more of a reality. Then we found Market Flowers. Fresh cut flowers at the Mpls Farmers Market and they opened at 7:00am. So we were up early and on our way to Mpls. We arrived around 7:30am and we were clearly not the only folks in the market for some flowers on Mother's Day. They had a wide selection of flowers and plants. They were friendly and helpful and in no time at all, we had our fresh cut flowers and were on our way. Mama was not only surprised, she loved her flowers. Mission accomplished.

The folks at Market Flowers love to help, and even offered to call around and look for the irises I needed for Art in Bloom. The flowers that were delivered (friend sent a picture) were pretty but significantly smaller than the Flowers in the pictures on their website. Not worth $65,00... Plus delivery tax etc $100 total. The vase was the same size. I should have read previous reviews. They did return my call and tell me the picture my friend took was not accurate? No offer of compensation.
