Went to Main Event to bowl. This place was super busy. I did not expect it to be this busy since the weather was terrible. We went on a Saturday afternoon/evening. There were kids everywhere, but I was told that they do have after hours events were only 21 years or older are allowed. That would have been more ideal, but we did not know. We went to go bowling. There was about a two hour wait for bowling, which was crazy. But after we signed up and paid on the kiosk, it only took about maybe 45/50 minutes. The staff wasn't really helpful. Every time we ask questions they just advised us to use the kiosk , the answer for everything was used the kiosk. Kiosk really are taken over. While we waited for our lane to become available, we went to the bar and the lady at the bar was overwhelmed. We wanted to sit at the bar, but the bar itself was a mess since it was just her she didn't have time to clean it so we ended up sitting at a table. We got drinks and mozzarella sticks. I had got some kind of slush. It was really good and the mozzarella sticks were exceptional. After drinks, we went bowling, bowling was a whole lot of fun. Everything was already set up when we walked over because when you do it on the kiosk, it already asks you to enter in your names. The bowling shoes are actually really nice. Had a great time here to celebrate my sons birthday. I was late in planning his party so we came up early on a Saturday to get a table in the restaurant. Lots of table options from High tops to low tops and booths and bar top. The waiter we had was very nice and tended to us great. Checked in on us a lot. Ordered two large pizzas for the table and they were delicious! The crust was amazing and the pepperoni was ughhhh soooo good!!! I would come here just for the pizza. Main event came out with new wrist bands for $25/each with unlimited laser tag, bowling, and billiards and then we got the kids game cards for the games. The kids kept themselves very busy. The only reason I give the 4 stars is because when you go to purchase the cards for the games and the wrist bands, it's a little confusing navigating what's all included, there should be a little more detail in the descriptions. I still had to ask what was included on certain thing a. Needless to say there was a man close by that you could ask questions too. Came here recently for my grandson's birthday celebration. So much fun! The array of games and activities here is truly next level. As soon as we walked in, I was nearly overwhelmed by the selection here - imagine what a child's impression must be! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were seated at a large table near the bar (although we didn't order alcoholic beverages). Drinks that were ordered came out quickly, along with the ordered appetizers: spinach artichoke dip with tortilla chips and hot pretzels with several dips. The artichoke dip was really good. Pizza for lunch was actually not bad, either. Games and activities here were enjoyed by all that participated, and there is certainly something for everyone here (although you must be a certain height for laser tag). A definite hit for the kids. Establishment is clean, including the restrooms. Lit enough for us "older folks" to see while still illuminating the correct amount of light for those enjoying the huge video games. My daughter's middle school had an activity here and figured we all should have a family outing while we are at it. We loaded a card (which we had to pay $3 for!) and played away. $100 seem to last you a while and we had a blast, some games are just repetitive but the real highlight here is the food... Yes, the food!! We ordered a couple of drinks at the bar, it was good and their pricing isn't ridiculous, after playing and looking at the prices of the menu, they were reasonable for some "average food" right.... WRONG! Their chicken strips were so deliciously breaded, idk if they were hand battered but seems like they were, their fries were perfectly fried which seems like not many places know how to fry them and season them properly in a lot of places but Main event did it! Their burger, now that is so perfectly juicy. Again, surprised on how delicious and tasty it was along with its fresh ingredients since we were not expecting that a a family fun arcade place. I went with my company for a team building evening (about 20+ associates). When it was time to split the bill I was very clear with the server about what was on the receipt. The screen did not have a breakdown of charges and seemed higher than I thought. I repeated what I purchased and she said yes that was all I was charged for. The tip was preselected which I assumed at the time was due to the size of the party. I asked that the receipt be text to me. When I got home I checked the receipt and realized I was overcharged for drinks I did not order. After sharing my story with my peers, I found out that several of them were also overcharged. I filled out the survey and received a call back the next day from a manager. I was told I'd be refunded the drinks I was overcharged plus the tip, and receive a confirmation text. No text came. Tried calling back but got voicemail and no one returned my call. The manager also said to tell my coworkers to call in and they would be refunded. They were not contacted back. I only asked to refunded for what I was overcharged plus the tip, because who tips someone who purposely overcharges you. I repeated to her what I purchased and she assured me that was all I was charged for. I don't need the money, but it's the principle. Don't try and take advantage of people who are ordering in a large group because you think they won't notice the padded charges. We will make sure to take our company team building nights to another place from now on. read more

Main event is great! They have phenomenal management, a youthful and ambitious employees. Conner and Juan created the Astros shot and it's delicious. The bowling is funny only reservation I have is the the fact that I bowl more seriously than most. That being said the pins are tied to strings and bounce around knocking other pens down once they are hit. A tad bit annoying but other than that they have arcade games, lazer tags, adults only bar and tons of food options, beautiful ambiance! Highly recommend read more

My thing is good customer service and the ease of getting in and out of a place like this with two small kids who want to go bonkers. This is the place for that. The bowling lanes are fun and you can usually find some coupons on their website. The control panel is easy to operate so you can have gutter guards on and off depending on the person and they have the little bowling ball ramps for the kids who can't bowl to form yet. The wait staff is polite and the food has always been delicious. Then after bowling we go and play the games on the floor. The interactive screen room with the bounce balls is very cool and so much fun for the kids. I will load them up each a game card so they can go play and acquire points and by the time they're done the games give out a decent amount of points for them to go into the prize store and pick out prizes. There is some good stuff in there to choose from but some of the better items have a higher point cost. I have to tell them "you dont have enough points for that... you can save your points and add more for next time to get it" but they always want immediate gratification so they choose of bunch of small things. They always come out with a pretty good sized bag of prizes after each visit. It's fun to see them having so much fun and every weekend they say "Let's go to Main Event!" They have good games selection on the floor and the food is good. Staff has always been nice. Good times here no complaints easy in and easy out for a couple hours of fun. read more

It took a good 40 minutes before the table was available...we order pizza and chicken nuggets and sliders and the food was cold not even warm! We paid for 10 kids to play the laser tag and they made a bid deal because my wife told them we didn't have everyone ready to play and were saying that if everyone is not there on time then we would lose our turn...I would not recommend this place for parties! An honest mistake or not? Be leery of eating in the restaurant. Be sure and get a receipt. The waiter attempted to charge me 50% tip on a $22 tab. He wouldn't show me the hand held device used to run the charge. When done he said it didn't have the ability to print a receipt. I asked for the receipt a different way, text, email? He said he that he supposed that he could send a text. When I received the text I saw that $11 tip on a $22 tab. I protested to him and the manager to have it voided and corrected and the manager said that he couldn't void it because it hadn't posted yet however he adjusted that total and to let him run my credit card again at the new total. I was like am I a fool you want to now charge my twice after charging me double. He assured me that the original $34 charge would not post. Well.... It did. I'm looking at two charges a $34 and a $27 for what should have been a $27 charge and now in a dispute with my credit card company, luckily I screen shot the text tab that was sent. I can't prove the dishonest behaviors intent here but I can warn you. GET A RECEIPT. Inspect it. Check it later when your credit card posts. It was the posturing, how they said what they said, the huddle meeting, and the end result. It's the read of the situation. Trust me. It's not that someone was new. Or they misheard. I truly believe from manager to employee, this is a practice. At the very least. Thinking of booking a birthday party here? Check your receipt. For your sake and your guests, warn them not to get rolled. It could have been a series of honest mistakes and bad technologies. For that I apologize if it was. My hunch says otherwise. She let us know about the kids eat free with adult meal on Tuesdays so that was greatly appreciated. All the games were working and everything was very clean. Met a couple of friends here Saturday afternoon for a round of bowling. Saturday is birthday party celebration time literally all day so I was expecting the place to be over crowded and miserable. I was pleasantly mistaken! The bowling ally was busy but we had zero wait time and were seated right away and given our chosen shoe size. The lights and atmosphere were desirable and fun, nothing over the top or annoying, and that is a huge deal for me. The score board control is pretty fun to play with while waiting for the others to take their turns, I was taking selfies with it and they were shown up on the big screen in front of our game. The entire game from start to finish went on without any problems, I appreciate that. There is a waitress that comes to your table to get food and drink orders, very convenient. After bowling we walked around and played some games but I gotta say it was more fun for me to watch others playing and having a good time. This place is great! We scoped out the place since we were out and about for my sister's birthday. It is a little smaller than the other Main Events in the Houston area, but definitely a great place to have fun with different games I've never heard of or seen. The greeter, Richard, was awesome! He was welcoming, very helpful, and overall a funny guy. I don't think a worker, anywhere, has ever made me laugh that hard! Even while we were just walking around the area, he would come up to us, and check in to see how we were liking the place. Very goofy and personable personality! He was nice enough to walk us out to our car, and he did a little goodbye dance as we entered our car . Overall expensive, I guess what could you expect going to activity centers these days. 100$ lasted about 1.5 hours on machines, some did not work and were not marked not working so they take your credits. Mondays they have unlimited bowling specials so that is nice but the service to get food while bowling is slow! The food is ok, nothing to brag about. We went there with at least 15 teens from our soccer club and 10 thirst adults. We went directly to the restaurant and although very nice the host was clearly overwhelmed. They appeared to be short staffed as well. However our server Blake was great! He ran his back end off and was very nice and accommodating.
