Hoyt location: The worst work and the slowest work I have ever received!! Had my truck for three and a half weeks and wasn't even fixed completely when I got it back. Took it back and it's been sitting there not touched for two weeks and no one thought to call to tell me there was an issue. Went and picked it up today. A hose was dangling from the underneath. Nice. They told my insurance company it wasn't safe to drive. Then why did they send it home the first time saying all repairs were complete?? I took it back to them because they didn't fix the bumpers or the windows or the running board. My claims officer called them and asked why all of a sudden it wasn't safe? They said that was incorrect information. Super mad! I'll go somewhere else for the rest of the repairs. The office ladies are very nice though, the only positive thing I have to say. read more

The work itself seems OK, but the shop is very disorganized. I scheduled an appointment for repairs (insurance) about a week and a half in advance, but when I showed up to drop my vehicle off, they didn't seem to be expecting me and told me they'd call back later that day to let me know when to expect my vehicle back (I had earlier been told it would take 2-3 days because the damage was fairly minor). No one returned my call, and when I called back the following day, they told me it would be at least 2 weeks to get my vehicle back. Only after threatening to take my car to another shop, they "fast tracked" me and got it done within the week. To top it off, the woman at the counter does not know how to wear a face mask properly. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME--my reviews are typically generous but I feel obligated to warn others in this case. I went here because they have a deal with GEICO and I do have high regard for GEICO (well, not so much now). 20 hours of work took 7 weeks and the first time they released it after 5 weeks they didn't make any repairs, but just replaced two wheels and repainted very minor damage to the front bumper. Two stars because I got my car back (I had Les Schwab double check the work) and they were very pleasant people--the truth is more like 1.7 stars. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME I took my car here when I was rear ended and it took a while to get it back for what was a basic jumper replacement. Then once I received it back I have return 4 times to have the bumper properly reattached. They thought it was acceptable to partially attach it with out the full number of mounts giving it a gap as if it was safe in case of another impact. Absolute shoddy work at best. They inevitably had to order a new bumper again and attach it properly and fully the first time. Due to insurance approval and location I was forced to give them another try. This time I figured since they had a change in owner maybe it'd be better....but it's 10 fold worse. They refused to even estimate my car for at least a week after lying to insurance that it would be sooner. My car was in an accident with air bags deployed (usually a total) but instead of recognizing that the sun roof was forced open by pressure from the air bags they allowed it to pour rain into my car which forced a total where it could have been saved. Those minor mistakes cost someone (this time me) a lot and there was no remorse or correction. Instead I was given the run around by their employees always trying to pass off the bad news because nothing had been done. Finally the estimator tried to explain that there were 15 other vehicles first come first serve who were all likely totaled so it took long hours to estimate each one....likely story? I think not. That's far to big a coincidence without any weather prompting, I could see it in sudden rain and wind or snow but not normal fall weather and suddenly everyone is at their shop? A week is far too long, and the only other excuse was that every time a car came on she couldn't finish the estimate she was working on...then maybe stop accepting vehicles if you can't do your job. After it took almost 2 weeks to estimate, they dismantled the entire car without communication and absolutely ruined everything left in the vehicle from the accident. When I went to collect my things after finally getting through to get a time I could my chains were missing and I know exactly where they always sit. But since they completely took apart the trunk inexplicably they had to have stolen them because they claim they have no idea yet I know I don't have them. Have been going here for years ! My whole family has. Their mechanics will screw you over and lie to the insurance company ! Beware ! Will never go here again. Update 9/13.. took my car into power Nissan for what I thought was going to be a motor mount replacement per what main auto body had diagnosed it as. Come to find out there was a rock stuck between the engine and the chassis. My engine mounts were not bad. Main auto body's mechanic claims they "inspected" my vehicle. But the mechanic from power in fact showed me that the vehicle was not inspected because there was a lot of gravel in the plastic cover below the motor. I will never be coming back here ever. I was so impressed with main auto body on Hoyt Street. My 2017 gmc canyon had some pretty big damage after my accident and main auto was so kind and professional and the workmanship of the repair was super.. I am very picky and the repair looked like it never happened. Good or even better then new. They kept me up to date on how everything was going and made sure it was good as new when I picked it up. They even got done sooner then original estimate. I will highly recommend them to anyone. Super nice people too. read more

I came in for an estimate after getting a referral from A.J.'s Auto Repair, and was greeted in a friendly and professional manner as soon as I put my foot on the lot. John came out to do an estimate for me and instead offered to pop out the dent in a front quarter panel as a curtesy--mind you this is the first time I have come to this company! Not only did he perform the service for free, he was fast and highly competent. I hope I don't need their services again, but if I do need body work on one of our vehicle, Lovegrove/Main Collision will be my first stop! read more

Not at all worried about time. They had my car in their shop for a minor repair. $3400 is what they charged for a fender, a bumper tie rods and a wheel. $400 for paint that has bumps that looks like sand.. and paint they claimed they also redid my driver's door.. which still has a paint chip from the accident. The steering now pulls slightly left. The headlight assembly they replaced the one in the accident with (worth mentioning it wasnt cracked or anything.. ) the replacement is cloudy and doesnt match the clear one i had or have on the other side. The grill wasnt installed properly and is loose. They had my car in their shop for 3 weeks.. charged 1400 in parts and 2000 in labor.. for a job i could have done myself in a day. Our second experience with Main Auto Body was as excellent as the first. John really performed due diligence as did Jessica last year when my wife's car was hit. This is now my 3rd time being rear-ended in Salem since moving here. If you're gonna live in the Salem area, don't wait until you're hit to find a reputable repair facility because it's only a matter of time. Professional, personal, diligent, honest, and transparent. Love these guys so much. Every time I have gone in they are always very friendly and help me out with all of my concerns. I've had my new car less than a month and I backed into something and had a dent in my bumper. I took it in and they popped it out for me within 5 minutes and I was on my way. The company seems OK at first glance. Their estimator is a bit rude, but they seem legitimate. The problem is, this company does not seem to warranty its work. The work performed on my wife's car was shoddy at best (poor color match and odd bubbles under the paint). We were not happy, but were glad to have the work done and put the accident behind us. The real fun began when the paint started falling off the car after a year. The company refused to honor their warranty and ignored our attempts to mediate the situation. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There are plenty of shops which care about customer service and doing quality work. This shop is simply not one of them. read more

Ken Lovegrove retired and is no longer associated with Lovegrove's Collision Centre, but the new owners have maintained Lovegrove's high quality standards. I took my Tesla there because of some scratches on the rear bumper inflicted by another car's front license plate, and they did a perfect job. They're not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The good, the guys are nice and they do good work, the bad, the lady who does estimates is rude toned, classic trys to get the most money possible, yes i can back that up. I had 2 little dents on my hood which costs me $160 to order a brand new one, but i figured i would get it repaired for cheaper, she wanted to charge me over $500, she gets rude toned like she is upset if you question her on anything, she talks around your questions, never truly answers them, so i did not agree to the price and left, so instead of her saying ya we can fix it for 150 and them making some money, she lets me walk out the door, so isimply ordered a brand new hood for 160 online, i do not recommend going here, simply on the customer service upfront.
