You need access through the gate - military/veteran id is the requirement, unless you're a contractor onsite, employee, or veteran caregiver. Once through, one of the hurdles is parking (depending on the time of day). There have been a few times where I've had to park on the lower levels, and trust me, the climb up the stairs can be challenging! Bottom line - the team in the cafe works well together, serving up hot fare to both hospital staff and customers at terrific prices. They are efficient at keeping the line moving, and whether you eat in (large dining room) or take out, you'll find nutritious meals at a great value!

He also serves French toast and coffee, which I need to try next definitely will be back.

The soup is wonderfully spicy with generous portions of flavorful ham. The corn bread is out of the world, light and fluffy, almost dessert. The clerk was aloha friendly of this locally owned shop. The shop also sells gift items and soup kits. I had my eye on several novelty kitchen towels. There are no tables to eat inside, nor are there tables outside. Everybody takes their food to go. There is free parking in their shared lot.

Just a guy in a orange work shirt sticking his hand out blocking my way to the lunchwagon. I was so focused on getting my food and I am usually observant about my surroundings. Lol. Stan told, me he comes here as I posted Lee's in the past. Food is always good and service is always fast and friendly. I will continue to come here as long as they are always in front of Costco Waipio entrance and on the street.

I love the fresh jalapeño that come in it which I've learned not everywhere will offer or put this in your sandwich. I will say that the French baguette they use is pretty hard. The roof of my mouth is always raw after just one sandwich. I wish they offered a side of pho broth to dip and possibly make the bread less hard.
