I've only been there a few times, but their food is so so good! I've had their furikake ahi plate and their breakfast belgian waffles with fried rice and lil smokies. BOTH ARE SO FREAKIN GOOD!!! For the furikake ahi, make sure you go early as they have a limited amount and usually sells out fast. I like to text my order so I know they'll keep one aside for me! This is their number for phone orders - 808-220-2175. I've never called them, always texted. They're also at other farmers markets like Kailua and KCC. Be prepared to possibly stand in a line for them... because their food is good... so it's worth it :)

They were featured in Unique Eats so I decided to give it a try. I had the Kimchi fried rice, little smokies and scrambled eggs. It smelled great while I was driving home and couldn't wait to dig into it. 10 minutes later I finally get home and dive right into the plate. The kimchi fried rice was mushy and gummy nothing like fried rice. It was barely warm so I know it was prepped far in advance and held which may have made it more mushy. It would have been better off if they just dropped everything into the rice cooker, and cooked it the night before. Then when an order comes in stir fried it then. Oh and there was no kimchi in my fried rice. They used the base to season the rice which also makes the rice mushy. On to the scrambled eggs. They were rubbery and dry. Signs that they were cooked over high heat. The little smokies... well pretty hard to screw that up. Good side they served a lot of them. Over all for $8 I don't really consider this a deal not with the issues with the food anyway. Not a fan.

Staff treated myself and my other half as if we were regulars and took the time to explain each entree if we had any questions! Now don't let the outside fool you, soon as you walk in and see the small decorations they have in the kitchen. It feels like home. One thing I would suggest to their menu is that their elote, I wish for it to be on the cob and have that cheesy flavor to it. It was different but delicious. My opinion probably the best yet affordable taco spot in Oahu!

I messaged him instead with Yelp but you also text the number in this listing. He was very fast to respond and I simply told him what I wanted and met up with him to pick up. $10 for 1 pound or $25 for 3 pounds of either regular or spicy. While I picked up both I've only tried the spicy so far. The smoked meat comes in a vacuum sealed bag so I just put the regular one in the freezer. This smoked meat is fairly lean which concerned me at first but my concerns were not warranted. The meat has a strong great flavor but the spice level is pretty low. In a way I was happy with that because I didn't want to be have the spice overpower the flavor of good smoked meat. As long as you aren't looking for burn your mouth spicy this is excellent smoked meat at a reasonable price.

Mochi filled with fresh fruit in Mililani, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. My hunt for fresh peach mochi was fierce. I went twice to the Kaka'ako Farmer's Market and they had sold out early - my second attempt, they were out by 8am! I even tried the Pearlridge Farmer's Market... they only had the strawberry mochi! At least I got the Strawberry mochi from the Kaka'ako Farmer's Market on my first visit and the Fresh pineapple mochi on my second visit. Both times, the kind lady told me to go to the Sunday morning Farmer's Market at Mililani High School. So, I did! I arrived at 7:30am, but Daizu-Tei was nowhere to be found! I began to panic as I circled around and looked at each vendor again. It was a relief when I saw the lady and her daughter setting up their booth at the far endbof the parking lot. Whew! I was first in line! She set out the menus and to my delight, they had Pear mochi AND Peach mochi! Both were offered with and without sweet white beans. I ordered one of each and took them home to cut up, photograph, and enjoy! Ahhh! Delicious!!! The search is over! Now I know where to get fresh fruit mochi - it's worth the drive to Mililani! This Farmer's Market is less crowded, has lots of free parking, and all options of mochi are available! Tip: An added plus is that the weather is cooler in Mililani because it is at a higher elevation and is further from the beach!

Mmmm... Delicious!!…read more The wife and I caught a quick glance of Moore's Soul Food Kitchen truck while they were parked at Geiger in Ewa Beach. It was the first time we saw this truck, so we both couldn't help but be curious about the goods.. especially my wife lol. First off, the owner was super cool! Being that my wife is from Louisiana, every time we hit up a soul food spot, she asks where they're from. Today, we learned that the Moore's family is from Florida and have been in Hawaii since the 80's. Since we already had an early lunch, we weren't tryna get too crazy on the ordering as I typically do. My wife decided to try the chicken wing plate which came with 10pc chicken wings and fries. After debating on the flavor choice, we agreed on chipotle mango. When the owner hand delivered the plate to us, she asked for our honest review... and here it is!! Haha! FIVE STARS! :) Happy to report the wings and fries were amazing!!! Loved the homemade sauce that the wings were tossed in. I was expecting a little kick after catching a scent of hot sauce, but they weren't spicy at all. I appreciate the naked wings too btw. They were so juicy and flavorful, and I love when my food is piping hot! Excited to try other offerings and even other flavors of wings. Hopefully more menu items are available the next time we stop by. Today there were a few things marked SOLD OUT. As far as hours of operation and locations, the best thing to do is follow them on instagram (which I don't have), but calling their number to check the schedule is another option. Hope you love it!!

It's like they just deep fried it without any seasoning or flour. Then they just threw buffalo sauce for flavor. The fries were frozen fries that you could get from your local grocery store. Nothing special. Hand cut fries would have been a lot better. The mac and cheese is a big zero. No taste and it wasn't the best kind of cheese. As a "soul food" restaurant, I was very disappointed. I've been to a lot of soul food places and a lot of them stand out in a good way. They marinate there chicken, and fry it with flour, they hand cut the fries and fry it with peanut oil, and lastly they scratch make the mac n cheese. Saldy this restaurant failed to put more effort into their food. Which is why im giving them a big fat ZERO. Only put one star cuz I have to. I won't be coming back.
