Plenty of parking, the Cafe is the bottom portion of the building that also houses Lanterns Tavern upstairs, which has a big sign (Countryside Cafe does not have signage). So, if you see Lanterns Tavern, you are in the right place. During my visit, outdoors was full, but inside was basic but quaint and gave off those country vibes one doesn't get that often. The menu has a full range, from eggs, pancakes, loco moco to poke, pork chops and seemingly everything in between. I went the breakfast route and the food was really good - at least that Kalua benedict. It consisted of this perfectly salty Kalua pork, spinach, tomato and perfectly poached eggs on an English muffin, topped with a mild hollandaise. And it was reasonably priced for Hawaii (read less than $20), if I recollect, it was closer to that $15 price point. It came with a heaping side of potatoes (or rice). Service was kind and quick. The bathroom while clean was very basic, just a heads up for those that look for a bit more bougie of bathrooms. Overall, a perfect brunch to fill your belly for a day of adventuring.

We sat outside to enjoy the beautiful view, however, there were numerous flies and cats hanging around the seating area. Tip: Don't sit at the outdoor table near the door as you will be constantly hearing the bell ring each time someone uses the door. Food was pretty good. The Kim chee fried rice was tasty but the spice level was pretty mild. Service was fine. No major issues though we did feel a bit rushed. Overall, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but it's fine if I was in the area. Much rather go to Liliha bakery for the ambiance and service.

Felt spoiled with the amazing beachfront views and some of the best food we had all vacation long. Best part, it was all for a fraction of the price compared to what we've been paying at the ritzy or main stream spots. They have drink specials and happy hours! Sooo worth it. The poke nachos and crispy pork coupled with drinks, heaven! Our kids loved the firecracker chicken, mildly spicy but not overwhelming for them. There were so many options we didn't get to try, which means we will be back soon! We enjoyed the music and the sounds of the waves. Kids even played by the water while we finished our cocktails from the deck. It's exactly what we envisioned our vacation to be! So, if you could skip the over priced ritzy places that end up subpar, I would and come here. It's off the beaten path a little and tucked away on a small street, but worth the visit. We often visit Ko Olina side of Oahu and can honestly say we found our affordable go-to! Also left with some of their swag to represent because the aloha love was thee best! Shout out to the owners, Donavan and Devina.

The ambiance at Kaʻahaʻaina Café sets it apart from your average neighborhood café. The atmosphere is laid-back and focused on community, embodying a local vibe that truly represents the West Side instead of mimicking a trendy Honolulu idea. The overall experience at Kaʻahaʻaina Café was truly something I valued the most. The vibe was relaxed and inviting, allowing for a seamless transition into enjoying the meal. The service was not only friendly but also efficient, with the staff contributing to a warm atmosphere that perfectly complemented the café's local vibe. That level of reliability is crucial, particularly in a venue where it appears that numerous patrons are familiar faces. From a wider travel viewpoint, I often observe when a café truly embodies the spirit of its local community. Having explored numerous dining spots around the globe, I often find myself recalling those that truly embody their local essence, and Kaʻahaʻaina Café certainly captures that vibe. It's not just about the show. It's all about the cozy vibe, the sense of belonging, and an atmosphere that resonates with the essence of Waiʻanae. Kaʻahaʻaina Café is definitely worth a visit if you find yourself on the Waiʻanae Coast and are in the mood for a laid-back meal in an authentically local atmosphere. Kaʻahaʻaina Café exudes a sense of community that adds a unique charm, setting it apart from typical café experiences.

I was not disappointed with my food or the experience, but just not sure how i felt about the experience. Full transparency, we were already hangry and in the area. Since we never tried the place before and they were still open we decided to stop. We definitely need to go back because it was one of those I'm not sure if the food was good, because we were so hungry we didn't take the time to actually taste the food. However, the staff were kind and answered our questions without showing any obvious signs of frustration. Good service always makes the experience that much better. I give this place 4 stars because of the staff and not being disappointed with our food. We will definitely be back to actually taste the food and hopefully update my review to include more of the food experience.

Restaurant address is 86-120 Farrington Hwy, Ste C306, Waianae, HI 96792. Maybe they just changed their restaurant name? I don't know. We decided to try them and see how it is. Upon arrival.... Pros 1) large parking lot. Plenty of parking. 2) lots of other small shops here. I see Long's drugs, Team Mibile, Pizza Hut, etc here, just to name a few. 3) we were the only one there. I see one lady at the cash register. She took our orders. She smiley and nice. 4) we ordered the Special for $18.99. We got chicken katsu cones with rice and 4 sides. We also got the Shrimp Temp Maki for $11.99 + 2 drinks. 5) it's also a mini mart. They have a few other items got sale here too. See pictures. 6) love all the sides I picked. Rice tasted good. Cons 1) I didn't see a bathroom. Maybe I should have asked. 2) shrimp tempura maki roll was not very good. The other person who ate this roll was not very impressed. I tried a piece and it was just ok. I've had better. But we didn't get wasbi and ginger with it. We had to ask for soy sauce. They don't provide it unless you ask. 3) Most of our chicken tempura was over cooked. It was very chewy and hard to eat. There were a few pieces that was not over cooked and still good to eat. We didn't like our plate. But we ate it anyways just because we already paid for it. 4) Conclusion We weren't very impress with this market/restaurant. Foods weren't good. But the cashier lady was nice. Food sides were good. There was only 1 small table and another table that fits 4 people, inside restaurant. They do have a few items for sale. Not going here for food again. But maybe shop for items instead. You may like the foods here better than me/us.
